I was placing my first order to go and I asked the lady for a large side of macaroni and cheese. She said we only have one size. I said will it feed two people? She said it's small. So I ordered two. I ordered two of their cauliflower tacos and they are delicious. Two orders of cauliflower tacos and two orders of macaroni and cheese came out to $50 for lunch. I've been wanting to try Seed Shack for over a month since I found it on Yelp. I have been eating a plant-based diet for about 3 months now and I'm always on the look out for vegan-friendly options! I placed my order online for pick up. It's not in the prettiest of complexes, most of the units are available for rent or boarded up. The outside of the building looks a bit rundown. Nonetheless, I went inside to pick up my food. Upon walking in, I felt like I'd been transported back to April 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic. There is still no indoor seating, and there are just tables set up for order pick ups. You can't walk up to the main counter because of tables keeping you back, so I had to talk loudly to the employee about 12 feet away (who was behind another shack-like counter). There was also hand sanitizer readily available and signs by the food pickup to stop the spread of COVID. Don't get me wrong, I have been VERY careful during the pandemic and it took a long time for me to eat out again, but with most of Arizona now "coming out of its shell," unmasking, and eating in restaurants again, walking into the Seed Shack gave me a little PTSD. Hopefully they'll open up a bit more soon! Now, onto the food. I ordered the black bean burger with sweet potato fries and their Hempchata to drink. I knew it would be risky ordering fries to go, so I arrived on time to pick up my order and started eating my fries as soon as I got out to the car. The fries were hot, but already limp. I'm not sure if they ever got crispy. They were also loaded up with SO MUCH SALT that I had to brush most of the salt off before eating each one. They definitely left a lot to be desired. The black bean burger was pretty good, though. It had a nice bite and wasn't too dry. The Hempchata was thick, too sweet, and almost a little gritty? I tried diluting it with almond milk when I got home, but I still don't think I can drink it. When I ordered online there was an option to add on a free coconut chia pudding. Unfortunately, it looked pretty gross and not very appetizing. I had high hopes for the Seed Shack, but unfortunately I don't think I'll be making my way back there any time soon. read more

What a fantastic little place hidden away. The menu was small but not too small. For lunch time, it wasn't busy at all. Seems a lot of people call ahead for smoothie orders. With only 2 orders ahead of me, I did think that it took a long time to get my food... about 25 minutes. There were a lot of burger options which was surprising. I tried the cauliflower chickpea tacos and they were phenomenal!! Lots of flavor and filling. I also tried the sweet potato fries which were perfectly crisp and not too soft. Owner is tremendous when she's there. Staff is great. Food is always on point and area outside has been cleaned up and looks way better at town center from months back. Wow, this quickly became our number one go to during the COVID-19 social distancing period. The food has been delicious each and every time and now we cannot wait for our weekly delivery from this delicious spot. We are recent plant-based eaters and I have been searching for as many restaurants that cater to that that I can. We only found this one after the restaurants had closed to dine-in and we cannot wait to go and try this place in person once restaurants start to welcome diners again. Our first order was amazing and they called immediately after I placed it to ensure they met one of our specific requests, which I really appreciated. I think they have become accustomed to our ordering every Friday and they no longer have to call and confirm with us. We have tried at least one new thing from them each week and have not been disappointed. Even our kids love their food and they are not quite used to our new way of eating. My five year old son looks forward to his weekly "burger" and gets so excited when it arrives. Each time we have ordered their beyond burger with fries and another with sweet potato fries and all of it is amazing. We have also tried the black bean burger, the beet burger, the bbq "chicken" sandwich, and the cauliflower chickpea tacos and each was quite tasty. Cool. Just wasted $40 on 2 soggy burgers and disgusting soggy fries. I tried this place a few months ago and i also had to throw out the jackfruit pita because it was soggy and too big too bite into with too much sauce. The truffle mac & cheese was also terrible. I didn't initially write a review because I didn't want to base my thoughts on that one encounter. I'm not happy. My go to vegan spot. Have tried so many dishes. The cauliflower chickpea tacos are my all time favorite. I love the way they incorporate veggies and every item has a home cooked feel. The one of a kind PB&J Impossible burger was totally worth me stopping on my little road trip! It is like nothing else I've ever eaten... so good & so unique! I came up to the Chandler area for some business and found this cool little place online. On the inside, the court has beautiful with a funky vibe. The owner herself and sister work the tables and the kitchen. The owner came out to offer us our menus and something to drink. The menu (of which I didn't take a pic since so many were already on here) is pretty straightforward. But the thing I didn't notice was the "golden milk", which she highly recommended. I ordered it. I was not disappointed. Golden milk is coconut milk that they add Turmeric, maple syrup, and a few spices. It was rich and creamy and delicious. No bitter taste at all! I had a Buddha bowl-- which comes with ancient cooked grains, grilled asparagus and tomato with spinach. The grill taste was absolutely present and delicious. The only comment I have that is negative is... For 14 or $15, the portion size is quite small. My other half have a jackfruit "BBQ" pita. It was absolutely delicious. We also were able to change out the side for a salad. But they forgot to put any dressing on it. Ding number two! Still the food was really fresh and very tasty. Used to love this place, but I think they're under new management. Menu is still the same, but a lot of ingredients have been swapped out. For instance, the Rainbow Vermicelli uses spaghetti noodles now instead of vermicelli noodles (you know, like the name implies). The tacos are amazing!!! It's always iffy to find vegan spots while traveling when you don't know the area. Luckily, this place was recommended to me by multiple people. I didn't know what to order since there are so many options but as people were walking out, many recommended the tacos - so I had to try them! Because of covid, there was no indoor seating offered when I went, but they do have tables outside in a patio area which was convenient. The customer service was also excellent. I have been wanting to check this place out for quite some time. I was happy to see they were open until 9:00 pm but a bit concerned they may become cranky that I was arriving after 8:30 pm. They were not. Upon walking in, they were kind and willing to help. I decided that I would take my order to go. I decided upon the beet burger with a side of carrot ginger soup and an order of the buffalo cauliflower. While waiting for my order a few other patrons entered in who were actually there to eat and again, there was no bitter nor crankiness toward the late arrival. I enjoyed the sound of the instrumental music to which I knew the words to, though it was nice to not be distracted by them. It wasn't too loud but a nice background addition. I took my order home and was very impressed. The ginger was a bit mild in the soup but I tend to go a bit overboard on flavor. I did get hints of what I believe was minced ginger throughout. Maybe? The beet burger was not what I was expecting, not that I really new what to expect but it was really good. Reminded me of a bean burger but it was beet and avocado (?) and a delicious sauce and veggies, mmmm it was good. The buffalo cauliflower was a bit different than how I've made my own, perhaps a little more bite to their sauce but again, very pleasant. Whoever thought vegan food would be delicious? This Midwestern meat eater didn't until I ate the food from Seed Shack. They've only been open for about nine months, but you couldn't tell. They have it going on. I placed a large catering order and had it delivered today. It was on-time and laid out perfectly. I ordered BBQ Jackfruit pita, cauliflower chick pea tacos, Buddha bowls, and green salad with a variety of dressings. The lemon ginger dressing was the bomb. They even provided sliced lemons to drizzle on the food which added a nice compliment to the variety of sauces. I was hesitant at first to procure vegan food because I was unaware of peoples' preferences. But, I went for it anyway. Everyone raved over it saying it was colorful, fresh, light, and a needed break from the heavy carb laden dishes.
