I was looking for a place new glasses and I walked into SEE to see what they have and They had some nice looking frames in all assorted colors. I have to get a new prescription from the optometrist but I look forward to working with the staff from SEE on creating my new look. They get newer stock of frames every two weeks and their prices are reasonable with the lenses included in the price of the frame. Thank You SEE for opening on Market St. read more

Finally found the best optical store!! I love color and non traditional looks. The eyewear at See is so amazing and pricing is very reasonable. The store manager Jeremy was extremely friendly and helpful. My next eye exam is a few months away and will definitely buy my eyewear here! Walked out today with a really fun pair of sunglasses in purple and lime. So excited. read more

I came in after work looking for a new pair of glasses. I typically wear contacts, but need glasses for evenings and travel. I wasn't completely sure I was going to purchase a pair that night but I saw their Core collection was $160 including lenses. Great deal and they were pretty cool looking. Unfortunately my eyes are so bad that the design (frames+lenses) ended up costing a staggeringly higher $415. I was pretty shocked by the discrepancy between the advertised price and what I was billed. The kinda sales associate explained why the total was so much, and we resolved to change to cheaper lenses. My total was still significantly more than what I expected (the $159 Core frame cost is advertised very clearly), but the service was nice, and I love my frames. I do feel that the advertising was misleading, hence the 3 stars. read more

In store, the staff seem really chill, super helpful, and extremely friendly. Picking my frames and picking them up was such a pleasant experience. However, I will say the biggest reason I'm not giving them a full 5-star rating is this: my glasses were supposed to be in on the 14th, but the lady who helped me said they would likely be done a lot sooner than that. They would call me when they were ready. So, I waited patiently, excited to get my new glasses as soon as I could. Weeks passed, and I was a little antsy (well, a lot really) But, I didn't want to pester the store too early, so I waited, and waited, and waited. When the 14th rolled around, and I hadn't received a call yet, I decided to call in myself. The woman I spoke to said my glasses were still being processed and that they may arrive later that day. They'd give me a call when they did, she said. So I waited all day. No call. I waited another couple of days, kind of anxious. I'd be leaving town this weekend, and I was hoping to have my new glasses before that happened. So, I gave them a call today, concerned about the status of my glasses. They said they'd call the lab to see what the hold up was. I received a call just a little while after that, but I had gone back to work at that point so they left a message stating my glasses had been there since the 3rd and that they had called and left me a message then. This was actually pretty annoying. I had never received a call from them, and the fact that I had been told two days prior to that that my glasses hadn't arrived sort of aggravated me. When I called to confirm that my glasses were in fact at the store, I raised my concerns about these things and honestly felt a little brushed off. I had the guy on the phone tell me what number they had even called in the first place, and when it was apparently my cell phone and I stated I received no such call... Well, his answer was a little less than satisfying, to say the least. Nonetheless, I just wanted to have my new glasses, so I rushed over right after work, tried them on, and went on my merry way. I love my glasses, and I truly felt taken care of in store. I just wish they were a little more on top of communications... Knowing I could have been rocking these frames a lot sooner does feel a little... Bitter, I guess? read more

I always thought I was pretty stylish when it came to eyewear, but leave it to Charles at SEE to show me what I was missing! We tried on about every pair of eyeglasses in the store and eventually narrowed it down to about four pairs. I ended up with two pairs that fit me perfectly, match my personality and the genuine attention to my overal happiness was unparalleled. I totally forgot I was shopping for eyeglasses. It was nice that, even though I liked some pairs that I thought were me, Charles and his crew were honest enough to tell me I was being too safe. They really helped me create a new look! read more

Visited SEE yesterday and saw Shelby....exccellent knowledge of product, no pressure, but we still bought a couple pairs...you are gonna miss her when shes gone and if you are reading this after Feb 20, the 19th was her last day! ugh! read more

The quality of the glasses is lacking. I have so many pairs of glasses I have bought in my life. I love glasses. The ones from SEE are not made well. They don't hold their fit or shape long. I would buy elsewhere. I have been a dissatisfied customer. read more

Outstanding customer service. The frames are super cool, retro and out the box. I bought three pairs of glasses so far and working on the fourth. Love the customer service, but there's always one rotten apple in the bunch, but the majority rules. They have a nice selection of frames that will fit anyones budget with or without insurance. Just ask questions and know what you are being charged for, they have a very knowledgeable staff. Go and SEE for yourself, SEE is place for great fashionable eyewear. read more

A rock solid 5 stars. Fantastic selection of frames from the standard to the most fashion forward and all at very, very competitive prices. Actually, when you consider that the price includes the lenses See is a bargain. I spent nearly and hour in the store trying on various fames and what I liked was the honest feedback from the staff. There was none of the "I love those on you" because they were the most expensive. Just the opposite. They showed me styles in various price ranges, all of which reflected the style I was looking for. If you're looking for new eyewear and want great looking frames but don't want to spend the over-inflated prices of the boutique stores, then you MUST go to See and see for yourself. Update: this place is even better than the 5-star review I gave earlier. SEE just gave me close to the best customer service I have ever gotten! I highly recommend them. read more

The customer service that I received from Store Manager Bret Maxwell was outstanding. I have a very strong eyeglass prescription that requires a lot of effort and skill to fulfill. After being turned away from both Vision Essentials -- shame on you, Kaiser Permanente -- and from Lenscrafters, I was relieved to find a courteous optician willing to work on creating lenses for me at SEE. Mr. Maxwell took pains to contact the lab to inquire about whether they could do this work. He was also very knowledgeable, and was patient and thorough in answering the questions I had. There were lots of attractive frames available, and the location of the shop is very convenient to public transit. read more

This place rocks! And they're right about "Hip without the Rip"! I bought a few pairs because I can have hip frames now without using a line of credit! Everyday someone comments on my frames wanting to know where I got them. Thanks to the cool staff - they're really helpful and super fun to work with. I just may start taking my lunch & hanging out at SEE on Market Street! read more

No more fancy designer label eyewear for me. Well, okay, these are european style but without the pricing. Great colors and lots of styles to choose from. Service is great. I can now get a pair of glasses and actually have $$$ left to eat for the month! read more

This is my favorite glasses store. Since everything made is limited edition, if you like frames, you better get em - fast. I've missed out on plenty of rare frames because I thought waiting was a good idea. One thing I wish wasn't existent was their commission-based sales approach. Although I never experienced terribly pushy sales - I can tell their workers are under a lot of pressure and generally unhappy. Service is always great though and I love their unique selection. read more

It's really about the style. They have terrific looking glasses. I'd give them full marks if they hadn't freaked me out, when I picked up my glasses, by fitting them improperly -- I found I couldn't read anything when the sun went down! My eye doctor looked at them, identified the problem, and had me right as rain in just a few minutes. read more

This place is the absolute bees knees for anyone looking for a neat pair of glasses. I walked in browsing but left with a snazzy set. Afterwards, I had some lens problems and the guys at SEE were very helpful at getting it fixed. Big-ups to Caroline for setting me up with a sweet pair, I get compliments on them regularly. Jeremy is a stand up dude, very helpful with talking about all things glasses. Can't beat it! read more

Excellent customer service. Jeremy Hurst was so awesome he helped use buy two pairs of really cool frames.

A huge thanks to Katie and the crew at the SF Market Street store. Everyone that works there was very nice to me and I had a great customer experience. I especially like how Katie was able to get my glasses turned around in time for a very big presentation I have this Friday. Rich H read more

Surprised to see the negative reviews here. I've purchased two pair of sunglasses from the San Jose location and two pair of progressives from the Market Street SF location. I received excellent customer servce at both locations. One of progressives I ordered didn't work out. I've since heard when choosing frames for progressive keep them medium sized. These were too large and it caused distortion issues with the transitioning. I love the frames so recently had them converted to plain readers. A lesson learned, although I do feel the sales people maybe should have advised me to choose a smaller pair, knowing my lense choice. Dave has consistently offered me excellent customer service and has stepped up during covid, cleaning every eyeglass touched and practicing solid covid protocols! He never allows too many in the shop, makes sure you are all far away from each other and always wearing a mask. Love my new glasses, SEE offers great quality and style and customer service. read more

Nice cute optic shop where you can find fun stylish frame at great price.

I purchased my last 2 pairs of eyeglasses here and continue to receive compliments on both pairs... I love the Core Collection. SO many awesome pairs to choose from! I love the fit, colors, and style of SEE's glasses, the only difficult part is which frame to choose. Plus, the customer service here is amazing. Every time I enter this store, I receive a warm welcome from the helpful staff, who are always happily willing to make any type of adjustment that I need, as I am very fussy about the way my glasses fit and like them very snug. I have been back multiple times for adjustments which are very much appreciated, always made quickly, efficiently, and with a smile. Did I mention how reasonably priced their frames are also? LOVE SEE Eyewear!!! read more

I had passed the SEE on market Street every day on my way to work and finally got a chance to pop in - and I'm glad I did! The $99 price tag on all sunglasses really won me over and Jorge helped me pick out two pairs and fitted them for me. He kept emphasizing that they only make a limited number of each frame so there won't be a million other people walking around with my sunglasses. This wasn't a huge deal for me but might be for other people. The store is beautiful and they have a good but not overwhelming selection. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for sunglasses! read more

The sales people here were very nice here and they have a great selection of frames. However, they do not take VSP insurance, so if you decide to purchase eyeglasses here, you'll be "out of network" and paying a higher price. Something that was not mentioned while we were going over costs. read more

Very friendly staff helped correct new frames from another dispenser. Looks like they have great selection for SF lifestyles. Definitely going to visit them next time I'm in the market for a pair of eyeglasses. read more

Great store. Friendly optical stylists. Jeffrey chery in particular helped me choose the best frames of my look and style. Professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant! I'll definitely purchase more in the future. Thanks for a great experience, Jeff!! read more

Cool glasses and nice sales staff. The price is RIGHT and i'll be back in January to get my new specs.

Love this store! Lots of frame options, all appear to be coming from Europe, and it looks like they frequently change styles.

Joni is great! I came in pretty late - 25 minutes before they closed. Even though they were close to closing shop, Joni took his time, assisted me in picking out pairs of frames that complimented my face and was erudite in his optical knowledge. I found an amazing pair and CANNOT WAIT to pick it up! Thanks Joni and SEE Eyewear:) read more
