Disapointing anyways, this store has some 'designer' level clothing at varying prices that very wildly. Buying a 100 dollar pair of somewhat gothic style pants, the original owner guy I purchased from was kind of cool. we chatted things up, he kind of gave me some pointers for sf fashion spots, talked to me about some of the other items around the shop (including a 1000 dollar concealable leather pouch). I usually like to give things time... evaluate places before sticking with them... so opting to wait on anything else... I make a trip to japan (where I purchased another gothic style pants from the yellow house... which were even more disappointing that Ceiba. Details are in the review I made for them). Also, mind you, both pants are elastic and the material is a little thick, they were both very comfortable. after coming back, I had to get both pants repaired. the ceiba pants I've had to have repaired twice (but it still has more damage on it that I haven't gotten repaired. the pockets are falling apart for one) now while the japanese yellow house pants I've had to have repaired 3 times now. It's rare that I need to have my clothes repaired... mostly its seams coming undone and I can usually fix those myself.... usually... but these were more that the fabric was giving out. the seams were strong but the pants were fraying or giving out around the seams. I cant just sew that back in. I've gone to Ceiba twice to try to talk to them about the material, the pants, repairs... and just to find solutions. the first time for them to give me advice on to handle it myself... and the second time, after SEVERAL times having to pay to get them fixed, to see if maybe the item was just bad or something and finding more vendor and patron solutions. both times it was a woman this time and both times she could not help. I do not recommend people come here for clothes, its a nice name place to show off a bit and pretend to be more socioeconomically established but little more than that.

There's always people selling their clothes when I visit. Women's clothing is on the right hand side and men's clothing is on the left hand side. For that reason, if not for one million others, this is a fun place to shop. If you ever have been to any of the Buffalo Exchange stores, this location is very similar. They have their clothing broken up into the various sections: men, and women, as well as divided by sizes, and style of clothing: be that pants, shirts, women's tops, dresses, and all of the varying things in between. Plus, they always have a nice selection of shoes. That's one of the great things I find about this shop is that you can truly find a really unique pair of shoes. Last time I was in there, I found this great pair of vintage Pumas, in pristine condition. A pair, that I've been looking for forever. In terms of pricing, some people complain about that. I don't find it a problem. If you want something, you must pay the price for it. If you're looking for some discount prices, you can go shop all the thrift stores in the area, just hoping that you may be able to locate that one special item. The Buffalo Exchange, on the other hand, does all of that for you. They bring you the best of the best of vintage clothing. That's what they're known for. And, that's the greatest thing I find about them. Also, as you may know, if you ever shopped here, they do buy clothing from people. So, pretty much morning, noon, or night, you will see people walking in there with their bags of clothing, offering them for sale. I find this a really interesting process, being able to watch the transactional situations that are going on. People bring the clothing in, the store buyers except some of it, and maybe a week or so later, you're very probably going see it out there on the racks. One way or the other, this is a fun place to shop.

I first met Sandra about two years ago when I needed a rushed alteration on a complicated designer dress. She was incredibly meticulous and made it fit me perfectly. Since then, she's done many alterations for me and created several custom pieces for my wedding and bridal events. She made my bridal reception dress inspired by Vivienne Westwood, altered my actual Westwood ceremony dress, and designed my fully custom rehearsal look, along with two sexy black dresses, one for my bachelorette and one for New Year's Eve. She just gets it. Everything fits beautifully, feels considered, and is executed at a really high level. Sandra is skilled, attentive, and genuinely enjoyable to work with. You can bring her your vision and she will be honest and realistic while still making something amazing come to life. Couldn't recommend her more.

Q-Pot is a really awesome jewelry and accessories line. It mostly has a food theme so think chocolates, lolipops, and sweets with a cutesy twist. Their rings are adjustable, so good for those with chubbier fingers. Tyuake Tyoke is a shoe line. They have shoes with mirrors on the heel. They run small, I don't think they go beyond a size L. Aqua Doll is a wig line. Listen Flavor has a more casual feel to their clothes. Most of their shirts, jackets, and hoodies are oversized so if you are plus size, you will probably appreciate the sizing. Listen Flavor has a lot of pastel colored pieces so if you like the Fairy Kei Look, this would be a good line. They also have gothic themed items too like cute demon bunnies. The store is also having more events which is a plus if you want to meet others in the Lolita community. You are able to buy tickets after purchasing a certain amount of merchandise. The week before Valentine's Day, they had a novelty fair (gift with purchase). I ended up with a cute pass case, perfect to put my clipper card in. I didn't think it was possible to love this store even more than I did but Harajuku Hearts has really outdone itself. I recommend checking out their Facebook page for news and coordination ideas.
