Harajuku Hearts is better than ever. Now in addition to Putumayo, Atellier Pierrot, and Enchantlic Enchantilly, they carry Q-Pot, Listen Flavor, Aqua Doll, and Tyuake Tyoke. Q-Pot is a really awesome jewelry and accessories line. It mostly has a food theme so think chocolates, lolipops, and sweets with a cutesy twist. Their rings are adjustable, so good for those with chubbier fingers. Tyuake Tyoke is a shoe line. They have shoes with mirrors on the heel. They run small, I don't think they go beyond a size L. Aqua Doll is a wig line. Listen Flavor has a more casual feel to their clothes. Most of their shirts, jackets, and hoodies are oversized so if you are plus size, you will probably appreciate the sizing. Listen Flavor has a lot of pastel colored pieces so if you like the Fairy Kei Look, this would be a good line. They also have gothic themed items too like cute demon bunnies. The store is also having more events which is a plus if you want to meet others in the Lolita community. You are able to buy tickets after purchasing a certain amount of merchandise. The week before Valentine's Day, they had a novelty fair (gift with purchase). I ended up with a cute pass case, perfect to put my clipper card in. I didn't think it was possible to love this store even more than I did but Harajuku Hearts has really outdone itself. Kawaii!! Cute little store that provides lolita, cutesy, and Harajuku fashion! As I was walking on the street, I couldn't help but be pulled in by the cute pink storefront! The staff here are friendly and attentive. As soon as I got in, the employees made sure I was served. I couldn't help but be mesmerized by all the alternative Japanese fashion and cute pink clothing. However, I was put off by how expensive everything was. That's too be expensive with this kind of imported clothing, but I wish I could afford it! In a sense, this place makes you feel like you're in a pink adult dollhouse. It's a good find! read more

Harajuku Hearts - Women's Clothing Near Me - San Francisco, California

For yelpers that may not know, Harajuku Hearts and Angelic Pretty share the same shop space on Kearny Street. Please correct me if I'm wrong in assuming this, but I think it's a little odd that they have two separate yelp pages, as I'm under the impression that apart from BPN, which is it's own company, the same people run both sides of the store. I bought an Atelier Pierrot skirt here last winter if I remember correctly. The service was good and I received the free cellphone strap that it came with. It was much better than the service I received from the Atelier Pierrot shop girls at PMX in LA in November. I know many people complain about sizing but let me say that I'm an athletic Desi chick, and I'm between a size 4 and 6 in women's clothes, so it's definitely not for super tiny Asian girls. You just have to find what garments work, and which don't, which is why it's nice that there's a brick and mortar store where you can try them on. Many Japanese brands don't have accurate measurements posted for their garments on their websites. I thought that I'd be visiting more often, now that Black Peace Now has moved here, but the parking situation in the area is so awful that I've only been there once since BPN has moved and that was because my girlfriend was in from out of town and BPN was having an amazing sale. I like the variety of brands, I just wish they'd carry more items by each brand. This is the only store on the West Coast that I know of that carries Chantilly and Atelier Pierrot. The staff is helpful, and the store is clean, but I can't give it five stars due to the lack of variety of items and the poor location. It would have been much wiser for them to have opened up shop closer to Japantown. Here's to hoping that items will be in more often and in larger quantity! read more

This review is for their booth they set up at AM2 Con this year. (Unfortunately I have yet to visit their physical store yet but when I do, I will most likely update this review.) I visited the Anaheim convention AM2 Con primarily for the Gothic and Sweet Lolita brands and shops that were coming down from San Francisco to sell their apparel and accessories. I went dressed in Baby, the Stars Shine Bright and was greeted very energetically and warmly by the girls working at the booth. They were helpful and informative about items that were on sale and encouraged me to try things on. I brought into the dressing room (which was a small pink tent) a Peace Now cutsew and an Atelier-Pierrot one piece to try on. Since the cutsew was longer than a regular t-shirt but shorter than a mini dress, one clerk grabbed a frilly Peace Now skirt to put on underneath the top to get an idea of a possible coordinate. Both of the clerks thought that the top looked good on me and received a thumbs up from my dad. For the Atelier-Pierrot one piece, they helped me lace the fabric corset around it and handed me a petticoat to put on underneath it. One of the clerks asked if I wanted to try a bonnet on with it but I politely declined. They thought the dress was quite flattering on me and I liked it too without the petticoat. In the end, I decided to purchase only the Peace Now cutsew as the Atelier-Pierrot one piece was a bit too striped for my liking. (Trying it on did make me more interested in the brand and possibly finding it in a solid color.) I was pleased to discover that my cutsew was on sale which made me very happy to hear. The clerk who rang up my purchase put the cutsew into a store bag and bowed as she thanked me. I would definitely do business with them again. Staff was friendly, sweet, and very helpful. read more

The Staff here have been really fantastic every time I have visited the store. Some of their prices are a little higher then the other Lolita brands that have come to the U.S. but we are talking about Angelic Pretty here- The ultra cute clone OTT monster brand. Anyways, I really enjoy the variety of brands here but because of the location I don't come here nearly enough. It is great to find if you are taking public transportation. But, because I don't live in walking distance to bart, I usually drive and parking is absolutely horrid here. That being said I have never had a bad experience here! Nice small store for Harajuku and Lolita fashion stuff, though it was confusing to find the place as it's displayed as Angelic Pretty on the street. Clothing selection is nice, the staff there were super friendly, and as a trans person they did a good job of not asking any pressuring questions, so you don't have to worry about that if you are worried about the same thing. read more

Finally made it here last week! Been meaning to go for a while, but never had the chance. Ended buying an ultra ultra cute Angelic Pretty dress!!! *love* Clothing - they carry a variety of lolita and punk clothing and accessories, so you can luckily (or unluckily for your wallet) find something you like very easily! Good points :: Very friendly shop girls :: Lots of variety - Angelic Pretty, Putomayo, Atelier Pierrot, Sex Pot Revenge :: Accessories - Umbrellas, purses, socks, head pieces, sales!!! Down points :: Only 1 dressing room. Had to wait a while to try on some outfits while another girl was trying things on. :: The dress I wanted to buy was "sold" online after I tried it on and was trying on another dress. Was ultra disheartened and told the girl I was going to buy it, and luckily she did sell it to me and would find a way to get the dress to the online buyer. But still =( What if I were wearing the dress at that moment and totally in love with it (which I was)? I guess that's the problem of the online shop corresponding directly with what's in the store. read more

After waiting ages to go to this store, I finally was able to last month. It was well worth the trip. The selection of Angelic Pretty, Atellier Pierrot, and Enchantlic Enchantilly was impressive. I was a bit disappointed by the choice of Putumayo goods. I'm quite fond of this brand but I didn't see much there. I hope to see a better selection of their goods in the future. I was a bit nervous on this trip as I had heard the staff could be a bit rude but I saw no evidence of this. They were perfectly affable and helpful, offering to take our bags and giving me a place to sit while my friend tried on a dress. They also had on really cute dresses and one of them even noticed the cthulu print I was wearing! The variety of dress styles was, of course, limited by the brands available, but despite this there was a wide range of color palettes to suit the tastes of most Japanese fashion enthusiasts. There were even more casual items like hoodies and tees and a lot of gothic friendly pieces as well, much to my delight and surprise. Yet another complaint I had heard was that there wasn't enough gothic style here. I can personally say that this is false. It also may depend on the time of year. One thing that is really important to note is that this store isn't even remotely close to what the average person would consider affordable. The styles of dress this store caters to are expensive. I noticed a lot of the other reviews on both this and the Angelic Pretty shop page (they are the same store, in case you are unaware) complaining about how expensive it was. It's one of those things that maybe should be researched a bit before walking in the door. It caters to luxury fashion enthusiasts and the pricing reflects that. The style sometimes requires a bit of savings ahead if you don't have a very high paying job. It would be great if their selection of shoes were more prominently displayed as it took me several loops around the space to find them. All told, I'm happy I finally got to visit this shop. Cute little store! I understand that Black Peace Now has moved in? They carry Angelic Pretty, Atelier Pierrot, and yea, that's all I remember. Shop staff is cute and friendly! I like that this shop also carries more... traditional lolita clothing, as well as Japanese punk clothing. Very unique clothing, and definitely not for the faint of heart or for the miserly. I noticed this place while driving past to find parking for a local event, since I arrived early I decided to stop by to window shop thinking they were closed but were still open for 10 more minutes. The 2 girls on staff were so incredibly nice, helpful, letting me try on whatever I wanted along with helping me into some items, even when it got past closing time they were still very nice and helpful, giving opinions and undressing mannequins when I found something I was interested in. One girl even took a trench coat off a mannequin in the front decorated window to let me try on and I bought it within minutes because it was so amazing! Pricing is the same you would expect from any legitimate brand Lolita clothing store so I was not surprised by the sticker price, both girls were just so amazing, the place was clean and well organized as well. I'd love to go back and buy more items I tried. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area! read more

Harajuku Hearts is something I totally didn't expect to pop up on Kearny St. It's random enough to come across people from Japan in SF, let alone an authentic lolita store! Wow. Almost every item is a work of art, especially the dresses! I wish I had bajillions of dollars to spend on this stuff, also if i could shrink about 10 sizes that would be cool, so I can fit into their things and be all cute. I walk by this fun store from time to time and gaze upon its lovely window displays. Never have I wanted to be a teeny tiny size 2 more in my life. These clothes are SO FREAKING KAWAII! Summon up your inner school-girl and get shopping. From punk rock plaid to harajuku-styles, this place has all of the direct imports from Japan that you can shake a stick at. Of course, lolita/Japanese brand name alt fashion clothing is REEEALLLY over the top expensive, so I can't really blame the prices on the store. I bought a gorgeous Atelier Pierrot dress from Harajuku Hearts back in 2011. The staff was super kind and wrapped the dress with care. I love that they carry so many Japanese brands. My boyfriend loves Listen Flavor and I love gothic lolita fashion so this store is great! I would love to see Moi-même-Moitié items there in a future if possible! read more

I love this place because everything is so adorable but it's just too expensive to afford any of the clothing. I can understand if the owners want to keep it a 'top brands only' shop but if they had some more reasonably priced dresses I think they could get a lot more business. I definitely would buy more! Every time I stop by San Francisco I always stop by this shop! The employees are very polite and helpful. The earrings and necklaces here are among my favorites ever; they're pretty cheap plus they're relatively comfortable, though I can't wear my new ones as long as my older ones. I would suggest shopping online at taobao for the lolita/visual-kei clothing since it's so expensive at the shop. read more
