I make an effort to come at least once a month to check out what they have in store. I love that they post frequently on instagram (@vacations4sale) and allow easy online purchase for the items they post. Makes it super simple (dangerously simple) to get awesome pieces on the daily. I will warn folks - it won't have the warm fuzzy feels you get from your classic retail places (or the consistent go-out-of-their-way-to-suggest-pieces vibe you get from the staff at Relove), but their stuff is just so freaking good they could insult me the whole time and I would still come back. Now that I no longer live full time in SF, I see this shop becoming my #1 with the ability to buy and ship items to my new place outside of the city. Also, if you are looking to get fitted for some vintage denim, the woman who was there when I went a couple visits ago (blonde hair, clear framed glasses) hooked me up and pulled some great pieces for me from the daunting wall of denim. I ended up looking for ONE pair and ended up loving and buying three =) Make the trip out to the Tenderloin for this shop! You will not regret it.

I've been on a 70s polyester kick lately, buying up all the wildly patterned, wide-lapelled blazers I can find. I dropped in here over the weekend for the first time to see what they had and found 70s prints galore and a bunch of amazing jackets to try on. My favorite was a red, white, and blue chevron duster but it had a few issues, such as seams open in three areas and a number of fabric pulls. There were also some confusingly-placed buttons randomly sewn/pinned on but at least those are always nice to have as back-ups. In retrospect I feel a little guilty about having hinted at a discount. It's a fun and special piece and I feel lucky to have it. Thankfully, though, the young lady at the counter was totally gracious about it. In the end, it was worth the hour-ish I spent that evening closing up the seams, pulling through the larger fabric snags, and removing the superfluous buttons. I should note that my duster seemed to be an exception because everything else I looked at was in terrific vintage condition. This is a wonderful shop and I am so excited to have finally found it!

When I went in the store the young lady asked what I was looking for and what was the occasion. I explained what I had in mind, she said let me show you a couple dresses, one was a maybe and the other was a no. She showed me the next one and it was perfect, I tried it on and didn't even need to try the other dress. Amazing, I have never gone in a store, brought three items in, tried one on and it was perfect! I then thought, it doesn't have a price and I'm sure it's going to be expensive... but I loved it and told myself I'll pay $300. I asked how much and she looked it up, $125! I'll take it . I also told her and her Mom the owner of the store that I was looking for something for my five year old granddaughter as a shawl, showed her the dress she was wearing to the gala and the owner said wait right here I think I have something perfect. She came back and she was right! Then she was kind enough to give it to us. This store is amazing, I'll definitely go back for another update to my closet. Great selection of quality clothing and a fair price! You can't beat the customer service. A word of caution, pay attention to the parking signs, I parked one block up and didn't see the street cleaning signs. I got a parking ticket for $125 :( but all in all still under my budget and I have a great dress. Here's a photo of my family at the event.
