What an amazing store. Everything is very curated. It's clear they are very intentional about what they'll put on their racks and it shows. I've bought and sold here and always had great experiences. I can't even begin to express how much I LOVE ReLove... I came here to go shopping during my bachelorette in 2022 and they were so sweet and let my whole family hang out in the store FOR HOURS while I tried on clothes. They even recommended places to eat in the area when we left. I had been following them on Instagram for a while so they were my top spot to visit for my SF Bachelorette. I asked them to set up a rack for me ahead of time based on my previous outfits and a form they had me fill out before I got there...and they really killed it. The rack was pulled by many of the ReLove staff, but we worked with Michael and Dominque while we were there and they were the best. So many of the pieces I have bought from ReLove are ones I want to keep forever. Therefore, I think the value is worth it. I'm currently on a no-buy (and am off of Instagram where I normally shop their stories from LA and have them ship it here) so was trying to figure out how to support them so decided to leave a nice review. I had taken in high-end shoes one pair and one blouse nicely put together and folded I had traveled over an hour to get there I got there 10 minutes before they closed as I walked in the lady was going to start to help me and this man walked up stood in front of me very rudely look me up and down and said oh no I don't have time to do this you're going to need to leave I just don't got time and I said I've been on the bus for a long time can you just maybe take a look he acted like I didn't even talk turn around and just continued on whatever he was doing talking to somebody else I felt very uncomfortable and judged for no reason except for just being there I understand I may not be the fanciest person in the world but I certainly am not a street person or a bad person and I did not appreciate being treated like this I went right next door to the consignment store and she looked at my things was very polite made good conversation even though she did not buy any of my things she was very polite and did not make me feel like they did it wouldn't have done anything bad on their time or to them if they would have just taken some time out of there day from talking to people and standing around to just take a look at my things or maybe even just talk to me like I was a human being these people are very rude I would not go back into their store and I would not recommend anybody go in there if they are looking to have any kind of a pleasurable experience I do add that all the stores surrounding this store are so friendly especially the UPS store up the street but these people were extremely rude and I'm surprised that they're business is still up and running to be honest with you read more

Omg!! I was hunting for an evening dress to wear for an afternoon wedding ceremony. Within 10 mins of entering this store, I found it. It was the first dress I pulled off the racks, how lucky. Earlier I was just laminating how I couldn't even find something decent new is there a dress shortage or something?! Right before coming in I saw $60 all cotton, very commonly designed dresses at gap. I'm so glad my search didn't have to be dragged longer. At Relove I also picked up a pair of cool extra square sunglasses that will block out all sun (and anybody I don't want to see) in their curated display case of accessories up front which was only $25 (how is this possible?). Michael was the staff member at the time I was shopping, he was very friendly, approachable, guided me around the store and gave me suggestions for shoes and jewelry I can look for at home or wherever to pair with my dress. Story from a while back: So, the owner bought all the clothes that I brought in my initial visit, but she was rude enough that I don't plan on selling to them again. On their website and in person, at the time, their instructions for sellers said to bring clothes in garbage bags. An employee would then go through the garbage bag of clothes to assess for buying. If you dropped the clothes off then you had a certain amount of time to pick up any clothes they didn't want to purchase. I waited in line at the counter after walking in. When it was my turn, I tried to explain that, "I read the website and have garbage..." "Garbage? You brought me garbage??" Before I could even finish my sentence ("... garbage bags with clothes"), the owner started raising her voice to me - she thought I brought her literal garbage LOL When I called to confirm the buying process, they employee on the phone really emphasized the importance of putting the clothing in garbage bags for their review so that's why I tried to explain my intentions that way. Anyway, this made me laugh because it felt a bit absurd that I was being yelled at, but she glared at me as I explained that I did NOT bring her literal garbage. I explained, as I had originally tried, that I brought garbage bags containing the clothes I was interested in selling (per the website and per the phone call I had with an employee to confirm). The owner did not apologize to me for the awkward interaction. It would have been embarrassing had someone else been inside, at the time. I had some really nice pieces from luxury indie designers + a pair of popular combat boots, and they decided to buy everything. So I went from being accused of bringing garbage to having all my stuff bought by the store. They definitely didn't have a fair exchange rate, but I'm too lazy to figure out another way to sell. I've noticed that if you are someone employees find interesting then they're very nice to you. This can be for your style or some reason that they find charming. If you aren't that interesting (*cough* maybe you come in wearing athleisure because you're going to yoga *cough*) then they are not very welcoming. I've visited enough times to observe this. An employee once told me that they're going for a New York street style vibe, and so I guess the customers they hope to attract embody that vision. I honestly haven't been back much since. I think maybe once in order to use the money on my account. I laughed when I was yelled at, but it's obviously not a nice way to be treated. read more

This is an absolute must for vintage and thrift connoisseurs. I've been going to used clothing stores for two and a half decades. I can tell that every piece on the rack was an intentional choice and genuinely looked over for quality. They focus more on vintage from the 70's up. They have a great selection for everyone. I also appreciated how natural and easy the conversing was with the person working. Zero feelings of forced customer service or disingenuous compliments *the shop next door...not such good vibes, more fluff stuff, no eye contact from staff, no hello and extremely high prices...plus the pricey things were chained and randomly in the racks which was super irritating... read more

Prices are ridiculous. Bought something from here recently that I already thought was a bit overpriced for the brand, but wanted to support the business. Then I'm on Depop and I find the exact same item I bought from here for half the price. If Depep is notorious for up charging and your prices are worse than theirs, that's a problem. read more

The selection here is good, lots of quality pieces and well curated. A bit pricey but have been able to find pieces I thought were fairly priced as well. I have also sold here as well, and while I could have made way more money selling online, it is worth it for the convenience aspect. MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT - they burn so much sage. The smell doesn't come off the clothing even after the first wash. It's an overwhelming smell when you walk in and I hope they can cut back on it. I enjoy sage and respect the reasoning behind burning it, but I don't want my clothing to smell so pungent. read more

After hitting up most of the vintage clothing stores in SF, this one has by far has been my favorite. The diverse selection and great staff (shoutout to Michael!) really made the visit to this shop super memorable. Think enough space for you to browse, but will still throw some suggestions in there from time to time. I like the layout of the store where new items are front and center as soon as you walk in and that items are grouped with similar colored items. It makes browsing the racks really enjoyable. The dressing room is super roomy, which is great if you are like me and try on everything before you buy. I shopped with my dog peaches, and she loved that there was enough floor space in the dressing room area to curl up in a ball and chill. I will definitely be back to browse the racks (might actually go back next week...). Thanks again to the staff for making this such an awesome shopping experience. This was not my first time in the store, and I appreciate how knowledgeable and discerning their buyers are, that they don't make you wait weeks to get an item authenticated. They just know how it should be priced, whether it fits in with the store's vibe, and everyone that works there is cheerful, welcoming and delightful! I came to ReLove because I wanted to have an SF vintage store experience, and I've never done it before. I started with looking at Goodwill but settled on coming to ReLove because of the positive reviews. I have to say, this was absolutely worth the trip. The store is cozy, there are just the right amount of clothing on display, enough for me to feel like I could go through most of the store and see all I want to see in a fairly reasonable amount of time. I found at least 5 things to try and I got 2 amazing finds in one trip. This was exactly the type of fun experience I was looking for. The styles are diverse enough that I think anyone with a good eye (for what looks good on them) can find something to suit his/her needs. I went to try a few other places since, but this is definitely my favorite vintage store in the Bay Area. I highly recommend this awesome store! read more

Worth a visit (maybe a regular one) for one-of-a-kind, previously worn items, impressive range. I decided to go out one day in search of fun vintage finds in the lead up to my birthday, mapped it out and everything -- ReLove did not disappoint. I loved the look of 4 items: a light blue flannel jacket with black patch detailing, Japanese denim jeans, a Japanese linen men's shirt, and a loose fitting black hoodie. I was, however, underwhelmed by the fit of everything i tried on, but still decided to purchase two of them: the black hoodie and the jeans. I'm planning to get them tailored to fit just right. Do not go here with a dog. I walked in with my little chi-terrier mix (she is 17 years old & very mellow temperament) my dog was ON a LEASH that was instantly jumped my the owners (or mangers) pit bull that came running for my dog, their dog was not on a leash. Needless to say my dog was very scared and so was I. But want was worse is the lady (owner of the dog) said that her dog did nothing wrong, for us to leave and never return to their shop EVER... that I was never welcomed in their store! I was floored at her action and behavior. I left in disbelief. Please be cautions. I love dogs. But this is not acceptable for customers and their dogs. Their dog should be on a leash to say the least. It should not be allowed to startle customers or their dogs that are on a leash. If I could, I would give this experience a -5. I will stay away from this stinky shop...they burn too much cheap in scents to over power the old clothing. read more

This place is interesting. There's a mix of vintage clothing and also gently used designer clothing. The brands are varied, such as Helmut Lang, Burberry, Chloe, Tory Burch, etc. Prices also vary a lot too. I thought some pieces were more reasonably priced than others. That being said, you can't really find anything under $30, but the quality and brands tend to be better. My friend picked up a pretty Helmut Lang sweater for $48. There was a GORGEOUS pair of YSL heels for $125 in the case. These shoes normally retail for like $500-$600 so it was quite a deal. I saw a similar pair of YSL shoes at a different consignment store for nearly double, and their condition was a lot worse than this pair. I ended up buying a gently used Fjallraven mini backpack for $35. That's pretty decent, about half off. I forgot to use my check in offer though! read more

Re-love...to love again and again and again. A welcome addition to Polk Street. Please note, this is NOT like a Buffalo's, Crossroads or even a Cris Consignment. The concept may be similar, but the aesthetic is very different. The buyers here have carefully hand-picked, gently used garments and show case them with love and style. The feeling is approachable and wearable. They've done a lot of the work with selection, so you don't have to. Speaking with one of the owners, Delila, today, I could sense the passion for vintage and her aesthetic shines through in this beautifully put together store. I stopped by and found a leather jacket, a sweater, an awesome dress (think 80s, Linda Evans Dynasty style...oh, yah) and a very fashionable fringe scarf. As someone told me recently, there are so many "used' things out there that just need a little TLC, to breathe some new life into them. It is amazing to see such things transformed into something beautiful with the touch of someone's love. Sort of like human beings, right? We all need a little love. Welcome to the world of consignment, where sometimes you find a lot of crap and other times you walk out with a gem of a designer! I recently moved to this area and friend recommended I check it out, so I casually strolled in today after a nice massage (I do work too, FYI). The greeters Maggie and Miley were very welcoming and cool, chatting it up while I browsed the racks. Everything was very organized and I immediately found a couple items (crew sweater and Burberry blouse) that fit me, hooray! The prices were very fair amongst the variety of items, including high-end brands like Hermes to brands like Rag & Bone. The style is very chic-esque and SF, with a lot of asian inspired fashion as well. They have some jewelry, accessories and shoes but most of their items are clothing. Not too big of a place but you will probably find a piece or two (like me). Make sure to check in and get 10% off your first purchase, and also make sure you love the items before purchasing!
