Four stars not because I was a huge fan of their merchandise but because I thought the store was very neat and curated. This store seems to have some few new pieces from brands like BB Dakota and some vintage pieces, as well as a surprisingly large stock of qi pao shirts and dresses. I've never seen the appeal of vintage clothing (like 90's and earlier) so I passed. But the store was arranged really nicely and felt very feminine. So, YMMV. read more

I want to curl up in a square of sunshine inside this place and somehow become the store cat. It's the kind of establishment that deserves a store cat --- probably a small 'prussian blue' gray cat with gold eyes and a tendency to observe from a high shelf. Pretty and eclectic, with a mix of new and vintage --- this is a store for long-term browsing. I love the vintage purses, delicately embroidered lingerie, genteely crowded tables and stands. And the staff is always interested in what you are looking for without making you feel you have to actually look for something to justify the notice. Was there today-and my mom went in...after a break up, all I wanna do is hide in my big sunglasses and cry. shopping didnt interest me. so i said 'what the hell!' yup, i went in there and ended up purchasing a cute skirt! and i loved how the sales ladies didnt rush me!!! its super nice, and the sales ladies made me laugh! I love love love this store. It's actually 3 stores connected. A women's, a men's and a vintage store. I used to shop at vintage only stores some years ago and realize that today it's very hard to find a store that carries a quality line of true vintage clothing. While their selection is not extensive, their pieces are nice. Jump on them quick. I went back to find that this skirt jacket set I wanted had been split up and one piece sold. I always cringe when that happens. My fault for not jumping on it when I found it. The womens side also has a very nice selection of skirts, blouses, sweaters, lingerie and shoes that all have a semi vintage look about them. You really have to keep on top of checking their inventory because things seem to move quickly here. If you see it and like it, you better buy it because it just might be gone if you think you are going to "wait til next time." Trust me, I know this routine. The staff are extremely friendly and will spend quality time with you helping you make a selection. The prices are GREAT!!! Seriously, I am on a limited budget and I can always afford something. Also, if you don't see your size out on the floor, ask them.. they might have more in the back. Floor space is limited so they have stock in the back. Lucky for me, I don't fit into everything in this store... otherwise I, like my sister, would buy it ALLLLLLLLLLLL! You guys have impeccable taste. It must be the lovely ladies (and gents?) that work there. I feel like family every time I go in and it's like they actually want to help me find things that fit me well and look good on me. Any store that gives an honest opinion about an article of clothing deserves high praises! I have man-sized feet, it's no lie. They knew which brands would maybe work. This is just the perfect little shop. Everywhere you look you see something cute. Even the name is cute. Couldn't give it five stars though- I got this awesome dress but I hadn't even worn it and the buttons started falling off. Its not their fault though so I'd definitely go back. Yes, they do have a fine selection of lacy lingerie.. but I must admit, this store is a little bit timid for my taste.. Its more on the conservative side of the spectrum. Ok, fine, I admit it I like the whips and tassles, but the expensive whips and tassles. The bras here however, are very comfortable, and they have some that fit my little apples... perky apples at that. Whenever I'm in the neighborhood I stop by Belle Cose and I always find something I want and usually buy it because they're affordable. Don't know why I haven't reviewed this trio of wonderful shops sooner... This is one of my favorite places to shop and sometimes, just browse. The staff is really cool (in an unpretentious way) and the owner, Theresa, is just brilliant (both as a buyer and a merchant)! Today, I literally stopped my car and backed up (carefully!) to go and see a skirt in the wonderful window display. The skirt didn't quite work but a beautiful, embroidered scarf-to (almost) die for-did. I walked out with something really special and versatile and, oh, I also found some fun striped tights (on sale!). I had the best shopping experience at this little cute shop. My mother in law told me about their collection of vintage cheung sam / qi pao (Chinese dresses) and I had to see it for myself. It definitely lived up to the hype. These are well made hand tailored dresses from 1940-50s Hong Kong plus some from later decades. The price was low considering the quality and pristine condition of the dresses. I wish I could buy the whole lot but had to narrow it down and got 3. The shopkeeper, Theresa, was extremely knowledgable about the stitching, fabric, and the styling of the pattern. She was very helpful and friendly which made the experience very enjoyable. I liked that she was enthusiastic about the dresses. I wished I had more time to peruse - they had some cute vintage bags, brooches, and other accessories. The prices are reasonable too. Great for cute dresses at pretty affordable prices. They carry a lot of BB Dakota/Jack, which have really inexpensive dresses (usually around $50), but more pricey skirts, shirts, and sweaters (~$60-$80). All their clothes are really cute, and they also have a lot of vintage-looking shoes. The women who work there are also very friendly and nice and remember you. They spent a long time trying to find skirts that were small enough for me, and they also gave me store credit for a dress I bought that became discounted a few days later. The only bad part of Belle Cose is the slight pricey-ness (but then again it's mostly designer stuff and the dresses are very reasonably priced), and they don't get a lot of new stuff very frequently. read more

I really appreciate what with all this neo-80s "neon throw up all over your leggings" trend nowadays that the Cose boutiques can hark back to even older time periods when ladies actually looked good, sexy and cute ALL at the same time. I really like this place & have been using it for a couple of years as a great place to shop for my naughty kitten. very friendly staff & the clothing is tres chic - ranging from comfy & relaxing to semi-risque. they small batch their inventory -- so you'll enjoy doing a little work to find that special item for her & you'll be sure she hasn't seen it before. They also have little knick-knack gifts but it's a small space. it's also pretty inexpensive when you compare to alternatives for dainty garments like AProvocateur or DBetty's. they do have sales - but it's usually offloading mix & match items. i've had a huge amount of fun here & her eyes ALWAYS light up when she sees the items. neighborhood positives - good vibes is right up the street & the men's partner store has those items that will keep you looking trendy. plus the limited inventory there decreases the chance of meeting that stranger in your sweater .... nobody likes that b/c it's weird. who are you ? get out of my friggin' sweater dude. read more

I passed by this store a couple of times. I finally stepped into the store. I entered because of the men section... @-@" I really like the menswear and wow.. women-wear was great too! I really like the clothes... It's like stuff i would WANT to design for my fashion design classes but you don't do that. I really love the 20s setting themes going on in the store. I felt like its Pearl Harbor! LOL Here is my experience: I asked.. (went something like this) me: what kind of store they were? It is vintage? The person at the desk didn't really explain what they sell. she: no, it isnt vintage. me: oh, it's just the theme? [nodding] I think it might sounded stupid. I didn't know! I have to ask... I'm only giving them 3 stars because they used to be soooo much better!! They used to be a boutique lingerie store and now it feels cramped and confused. I used to spend an hour in there, finding great panties, camisoles, tights etc... and now I'm not even sure where to find the bras and panties as they've been over run by clothing. I really appreciated the small clothing section they used to have with cute vintage pieces and awesome shoes and small displays of jewelry. How could I have forgotten to write a review on this adorable little shop? I was in a couple of months ago with my mom and friend when I spotted a wallet that would make a perfect gift for my friend. The extremely sweet staff did a great job keeping her occupied while I purchased the wallet without her noticing, and later when she opened her gift she couldn't stop gushing over how perfect the wallet was and how much she loved her gift. Belle Cose is filled with all sorts of unique new and vintage items, you'll find adorable accessories filling one corner of the shop and up the steps are beautiful pajamas, lingerie, and dresses. Shopping here is a relaxing experience, and while I've never felt pressured to buy anything I never leave this store empty handed. read more

Oh, this place is wonderful. I've discovered Eberjey, On Gossamer, Only Hearts, Scanty, and so much more. And that's just the lingerie. It's a small boutique so they carry just a few select and perfect items. Plus, some great clothes and shoes (again, just a few select and special finds). I covet the shoes but they're a little pricey. Actually, the lingerie is admittedly pretty high end but you can't put a price on a gorgeous chemise. Nope. You can't. Maybe I have a self-control problem. Oh, also it's connected and, I assume, shares ownership with Molte Cose, a great men's and gift store next door where I have occasionally splurged on my man. Again, it's not for shopping without restraint when rent is due. But both shops have unique and "new vintage" finds that hopefully will steal your heart as they have mine. I'd gladly give it the full five stars if I could afford half of what I love in this shop... Actually, I changed my mind. I shouldn't punish them because I'm not a millionaire. Go there now.
