I was a loyal client here for many years and truly valued the professionalism and care I once…read moreexperienced. This place meant a lot to me. Over time, however, it felt like the management style, particularly at the ownership level, shifted. Communication became inconsistent, and situations that once would have been handled directly and professionally were not. This was not reflective of the front desk team. Many of the therapists I connected with moved on. My most recent experience simply was not the right fit. I did not feel fully heard, and the session felt more rushed than mindful. After the session, there was no follow up or check in at all, which has never happened in any of my previous experiences here. I was tired of bouncing around, so I gave it time to see if things might improve. In the end, she agreed it was not the right fit. What was most disappointing was how it was handled. It took several calls, emails, and texts from me to learn that my sessions had been canceled less than 24 hours before my next appointment. The front desk told me the owner was supposed to call me about the cancellations and to suggest an alternative therapist, but that call never happened, and there was no follow up afterward. There was also a brief moment that stood out. I had left more than 20 percent, though less than the week before because the experience felt different. When I shared that, it was suggested that the front desk might not have passed the full amount along. That surprised me, as the front desk team has always been consistently kind, professional, and trustworthy. I want to be clear that the front desk staff are excellent. They make scheduling seamless, communicate thoughtfully, and create a welcoming environment every time you walk in. I am writing this because I cared about this place. I used to genuinely look forward to coming here. Moving on feels like losing something familiar, almost like losing a friend. I would still welcome a one on one conversation with the owner, as I would have appreciated that before. I hope the practice finds its way back to what once made it so special.

Both services were top-notch! She used hard wax, and it was a pain-free experience! The results were very clean, too. Erin was very thorough with the facial. We went over my daily routine and she gave suggestions for products, never pushing for me to purchase salon/spa brands. She took her time doing extractions, which I am very thankful for! Other aestheticians I've been to never took the time to clear out my pores like Erin did. I was so relaxed after the massage (bundled in with the facial), I was ready to take a nap! I had such a positive experience at Glow, I already scheduled a follow up facial appointment. The location was very convenient to get to as well. I took public transportation, and the 73 bus drops you off right down the block from Glow (literally less than a minute walk). Definitely schedule an appointment with Erin! It's totally worth it!

When I checked out at the front desk, I was only offered a 15% discount. I was a little surprised as it should've been 25% (I lost out on 20 minutes). Again, not a huge deal I'll roll with it. I asked to charge my card on file a 20% tip. I assumed it would be 20% of the discounted rate. Nope! The women at the front desk charged me 20% of the 80 minute rate. Super bummed about the whole experience. My husband often purchases me gift cards for birthdays, Mother's day, etc. He's going to have to find a different spa, unfortunately.

I purposely had a sport massage as it "targets a specific area of the body that is more vulnerable to injury or stress". At the beginning I said my left quad needed attention ('ve been in pain for about 2 weeks now). Perhaps I wasn't clear. The massage I received was a full body massage which included my upper back/shoulders where I hold a lot of tense. It was beneficial but as I understand it, it was not what I signed up for. During the massage, I asked if she would do my quads too. She did towards the end. Unfortunately I left the spa with the same pain in my left hip and quad that I walked in with. I wasn't expecting to be pain free, but I had hope for some kind of change

The space is crystal clean, welcoming, and comfortable and every precaution taken. I have never had any issue about safety. Both Steve and Sharmese's approach is warm, kind, and compassionate and they take the time and each has extensive expertise to understand and meet each client's needs and goals. The massage is always outstanding ... their skill is incredible! It was immensely therapeutic for me as it helped me greatly reduce my stress and relax deeply, as well as decrease my neck and back pain and increase my flexibility. I would strongly recommend both Steve and Sharmese at Restorative Massage and Wellness. Steve is a thoughtful, dedicated therapist that provides personalized treatment to his clients. He draws from a wealth of knowledge and experience along with completing the full doctorate program in physical therapy so Steve is beyond masseuse trained. I would highly recommend Steve to friends and family. I am regularly booked with Steve and find out well in advance if he is on vacation so I can book Sharmese as a backup.
