Very disappointed. I was really really excited to get a facial because I never can afford to do one, so I saved up for it for my birthday. They only saw me for 40 minutes even though it said 55 minutes on the website. She also only did 2 minutes of extractions, which is the whole reason I went. First the nuts and bolts: Don't be put off by Cloud9's location close to Davis Square - they're actually closer to Teele Square, and I've never had trouble finding parking on the street even at rush hour. There are 2-hour parking meters that accept credit cards. The pricing is reasonable, a little less expensive than comparable massage places, and they offer a $10 discount if you pay in cash. You can easily book online and I've been successful booking same-day services and booking two slots at the same time for "mom and me" massages. If you arrive early, be prepared to wait on the sidewalk: unfortunately the studio has had to lock its doors between appointments because of thefts at their other studios. Apart from that minor inconvenience, the massage rooms and reception area are clean, well appointed and welcoming. Now on to the review of the services: Fantastic! In addition to competent and compassionate bodywork, everyone has been extremely kind. If you've asked for deep-tissue massage, it will indeed be deep. Like others here, I appreciate the no-pressure approach (no pressure to re-book or purchase products). Got a much needed couples massage here. They were able to get us in same day and thus began our calming and reinvigorating experience. The masseuses patiently stretched and kneaded every knot and tight muscle. The background sounds and dim lighting was relaxing. Hot towel to wipe away the oil and a check in halfway to confirm pressure. Water and a mint waiting in the lobby. Wish a bit more time was spent on my legs and feet as I'd requested, but I probably need a full massage solely focused on those areas. Top 2 of the 3 lifetime massages I've received. I just had was was literally the best massage of my life from Liz. I went with the Signature massage, which is a little bit of everything - some Thai massage stretching, some "traditional" tissue massage, some hot stone massage (amazing), and all topped off with a steamed towel rubdown that conveniently removes the excess lotion so you're not too greasy afterwards. The pressure was perfect, the therapist hit almost every muscle and joint, and it was long enough to feel luxurious. Three things I will mention that took absolutely nothing away from my experience, but would be good to note: -You have to have your mask on at all times, and the hole in the table where you rest your face pulls it a bit taut, so that could make breathing difficult for some people. -After I flipped onto my back, the therapist used a lotion that seemed to have eucalyptus or something else in it that was pleasantly tingly on my upper chest (to the point of feeling warm), so if you have sensitive skin that might cause irritation. Their website does request that you tell them about any sensitivities beforehand. -Thai massage is a little bit more "active" than a Swedish massage, so expect that the therapist will be gently picking up your limbs and bending/stretching them rather than just rubbing your back. 10/10 would recommend! read more

I left there feeling like a was light as a feather. Honestly the best 55min of my life! I will 100%be back. Super clean,friendly, professional establishment. The experience of cloud 9 felt more like a business transaction than a relaxing experience. The place is relatively clean but smells like harsh chemicals. There is no spa ambiance, just a couple of dark rooms down a hallway. The communication was minimal and they did not give any pre-massage paperwork like normal spas do, where you list any important medical conditions the masseuse should be aware of. I would say it's fine if all you're looking for is a back rub, but if you're paying $100 total with tip I would recommend going somewhere else. read more

This was my first time at Cloud9 Massage and wellness. Before I came in I informed the staff (via online submission form) that I have allergies to seeds and nuts. I showed up to my appointment and that's when the massage therapist informed me that they're oils are made with sesame seeds. Informing me in advance would have been the professional thing to do. I wasted my money and time going to the spa just to turn right back around. Side note if you have allergies to nuts and seeds it's suggested to bring your own oil or lotion. read more

I usually just get Swedish/deep tissue, but am really glad I tried their signature massage, which included deep tissue, hot stone and thai massage at the end.
