It was loud - several cell phones constantly ringing and beeping (once my practitioner even got up in the middle of our session to take a call). There was an employee in a break room nearby who was constantly belching loudly. There must be no fan in the bathroom (which I do t think is even up to code) so I could hear another employee peeing and farting, all while trying to relax into my massage. and then when I tipped %18 I was shaken down for more. First off, Mike was awesome! I recommend him because he gave my boyfriend a super massage! My boyfriend got a 60 minute massage for $65 ($5 cheaper than the advertised amount). However, I can't speak the same for the lady who gave me the foot massage (60 minutes for $48). She was NOt professional and NOT good at massaging at all. She was working as a receptionist and the masseuse! It was very rude! She would stop massaging me every time there was an incoming call or she would run to the front door to greet customers and then came back to massage me. And she counted all wasted time to the 60 minute massage that I booked! It was not even a massage! She did nothing nice to my feet! She literally sat on my foot once, massaged the towel instead of my actual toes, and randomly touched my calf areas without any massage intention! I wish I got her name so I can warn you all! She was wearing a white shirt when we were there, Sunday 10/03/21 afternoon! And to make it worse, she demanded a $10 tip for a $48 massage! When my boyfriend gave $10 for a $65 massage to Mike (who was not physically there to get his tips because he was busy preparing for the next customer) and we had to give it to her to give it to him instead, she demanded a $10 for her as well even when she did a bad massage job and her massage was only focused on foot while Mike gave a combo massage. I wanted ti give her $7 for $48 massage and she bitched about it! She demanded $10 and kinda rolled her eyes saying: minimum is 20% tip! She just made it up! She was rude and didn't deserve a tip! Also, they cannot even afford a front desk person! So frustrating when someone demanded a tip that she does not deserve! You can even add on a private Sauna session followed by a shower to any massage which can really make a massage feel like a full spa day for under $100 . The owner is very sweet & easy to make appointments with. Michael is an incredible massage therapist!! I've been to dozens of spas through the years and Michael is truly the professional you need for any deep tissue massage to help fix specific issues. He knows the anatomy of the body so well it amazes me; each massage is fully customized each time for optimal relief. Called a day ahead before coming in for a little relaxation with my two sisters, and we ended up choosing bodywork over foot massages. That was definitely the way to go! Inside is charming and clean. We split up into a couples room and a single (which we were fine with). Yuyu (sp?) was my masseuse, and she was really sweet and very good. She used just the right combination of pressures and different techniques, and she made sure not to get oil in my hair without me even asking. I left feeling incredible. My sisters both were equally happy with their massages. Since we were paying in cash and it was our first time it was $60 apiece, so we tipped $20 each since we were getting such an incredible price compared to the other options in the area. They even have a little loyalty card where the sixth service is free! Will definitely be back. COVID has dulled my sugarcoating, so I'm going to be blunt about certain complaints from some other reviewers: If you're trying to stiff a hardworking masseuse -- who is risking her health to bring you relief and escape for an hour during a pandemic -- out of $2 of her tip, shame on you. Very subpar massage. The lady was an older female and took almost 15 minutes to get prepared and ready. She spent half the time on my back which aches more than it did before I went in. Barely did anything on front other than legs(no chest, stomach or neck area). She did go on my forehead and hair and ears which I thought was strange. At the end during time to pay, the lady demanded a 20% tip which is inappropriate in my opinion. You take whatever tip the customer provides and you be thankful for it. Just very ok. Came across this place on Groupon so decided to try it out. They did not have anyone working the front desk and during my massage the woman stepped out 3 separate times to speak to customers at front door or answer phone calls. I was not relaxed and the massage was very rushed. I recently had a half hour foot massage on a whim while I was on a date night for my birthday. I think it was around $35- pretty affordable. My husband wanted a massage as well, and even though there were two employees there, the other one seemed to be off duty. I thought that was strange, but it was about 2 hours from closing time and so maybe there were other things that needed to get done? Bad massage by a masseuse that is not well trained. I went in for a 1 hour full body massage. My masseuse didn't ask me what type of pressure I'd like so I told her harder on the back and shoulders. She refused to press harder because she said I was "tense" even though I was very relaxed. I had to tell her multiple times to press harder on my back since I have a lot of knots and she still refused to apply more pressure. After the fourth time I told her to press harder, she started applying more pressure but on my arms and legs which was almost painful. I just received a 60 minute foot massage during COVID. First they check your temperature and you have to wear a mask. If you pay in cash, it's around $48. This is my first time receiving a foot massage and it was pretty good! Definitely relaxing; the first few minutes, i received a quick massage on my upper back and shoulders and that was much needed! It is a bit intense (I didn't mind!) so definitely say something in the beginning if you want something less intense. I am a regular customer every week for 90 min sessions, and my fiancé and I come here often. We love this place and we support it 100% as a local business and a Cambridge/Somerville community place! The best part is the massages are quite stellar and the prices are more than reasonable. We know all four masseuses; they are a small business and lovely people. Things can be hectic (but rarely! I get interrupted more than once but it is 30 seconds each time and a max of twice per session - so just chill- because they don't have a dedicated receptionist because they can't afford one), but even then, I actually ask specifically for Coco (who does all the management and receptionist activities) because she actually gives really excellent massages. (Trust me I know a good massage and I'm a deep tissue sort of gal). This is one of the best massage places in Boston, hands down. Best bang for your buck and honestly best massages in the area regardless of price. Michael is my favorite because he is suuuuper deep tissue (if you're an athlete or in pain, he's your man and be prepared to do some deep breathing) but he's currently on sabbatical for another few weeks. The people working here were also misleading about the price over the phone. We still tipped, and then were scoffed at for not tipping more. I opted for the 60 min foot massage. This includes a 5 min hot soak and shoulder rub. From the very beginning my lady was already chatting her head off to the other lady working on my friend. I asked her politely many times to use more strength, esp on my feet but she just wasnt into it. Therefore the entire 60 min was like a big tease for me. I have had hundreds of Chinese massages in the last 10 years. This place was by far the worst experience. The lady masseuse kept telling me to "relax". I was relaxed. But, she insisted I wasn't. This was irritating. Finally, the 4th time, I told her that I had pain in my neck and this was probably why she thought I was not "relaxed". She ignored me. By then she was agitated and started massaging my arms very hard. Now, I see a previous review that states the exact same situation: accusation that the client is not relaxed followed by extremely painful arm massage! I've been going to foot heaven since my neck and back was injured in a car accident last November. The pain was significantly relieved after a one hour session although it comes back the next day. My insurance paid for my 6 months treatment but I still go every two weeks now. I believe there is a grant opening because the price for one hour session dropped from $80 to $60 and there are new staffs. some improvement in the shop be done, I am glad they are still doing a great job for a more affordable price, I will keep on coming back! read more

Went here for a body massage, not a foot massage. Had high hopes for this place, as I was looking for a place near work (Kendall Square). Stopped in the day before the massage to make an appointment, and entered to find no one at the front desk. After calling out "hello?" a couple of times, a woman ran out from the back; I could see her through a beaded curtain (!) reclining on a couch. Weird. Anyway, she booked me for the next day, and said there was a discount if I paid in cash. Okay. The next day when I arrived for my appointment, again there was no one at the front. The same woman ran up from the back and asked why I was there. For an appointment, I responded. Oh, she said. Okay, weird. An older man appeared from the back, putting on a uniform shirt. He didn't speak...showed me to a room. The room was nice. No complaints. The woman followed and explained that I should undress and cover myself with a towel, which she handed me. A small bath towel. Clean, but tiny. (I am a normal sized person). Again, weird. After I complied the man came back in the room for the massage. I'd (barely) covered myself with the small bath towel. The "massage" was primarily him rubbing my back through the towel. What? Id be surprised if he had even the minimal amount of training. It was almost like if you asked your friend to rub your back when it's a bit sore after a workout. It was an hour massage, and for the majority of it I was totally shocked about how terrible it was. Get some trained massage therapists and a proper blanket in there (oh, and you were laying on disposable paper like a doctor's office), and perhaps they'll be legit. Not cheap either.
