However my experience at the Irvine Facility on Whatney was more than satisfactory. Journey answered a lot of phone calls from me and even met me at the unit to show me how to open it. I accidentally left a suitcase and two bags in front of the office. When I realized this, four hours later, I learned that Journey and her co-worker had retrieved my belonging, called me to leave a message and kept them secure until I arrived. Moving is a very stressful activity and the ladies at this facility are a pleasure to work with and made the experience much more tolerable. They are an exemplary example of exceptional customer service. Bernie JG.

It is incredibly easy for this place to be nice, welcoming, and professional when they want you to…read moremove in, but that professionalism completely vanishes the moment you decide to leave. I gave a proper notice to vacate and tried calling this facility several times to finalize everything. Because they refuse to answer their phones, I had to complete my cancellation through their automated system. I left multiple voicemails asking for confirmation, but no one ever bothered to call me back. Instead of processing my exit, they charged me for the entire month of May. I never received a single phone call, email, or notification about a pending balance. The very first "communication" I received was a notice from a collection agency. They made it completely impossible to reach them, ignored my automated cancellation, and then quietly sent me to collections without warning. It is completely unacceptable to tank a customer's credit score because your local staff refuses to manage their office or answer calls. I have a full paper trail of my notice, my automated cancellation, and my phone logs. Management needs to contact me immediately to pull this debt back from collections and correct their own administrative failure. Unresponsive, unprofessional, and deceptive.

I honestly can't say enough good things about US Storage Centers. From the moment I walked in, the…read moreexperience was smooth, professional, and genuinely pleasant--which is not something you usually say about storage facilities. Andrea and Mary were phenomenal. Friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and truly on top of their game. They made the entire process easy, answered every question without rushing, and treated me like a valued customer instead of a transaction. That's real 5-star customer service. Andrea helped me on my last storage rental on their sister property, and she just is a fantastic Human Being and excellent at her job! And shoutout to Raine as well--equally awesome, helpful, and clearly someone who takes pride in what they do. If you're looking for a storage facility that's clean, well-run, and staffed by people who actually care, this is the place. Highly recommend US Storage Centers--and especially this team.

The service managers were somewhat helpful. Their system is old-school. Gate and storage access have to press codes manually. I moved out after months of paying 4-5 months in advance. The Good: As movers, they're quick and efficient. They got the job done with minimal issue…read more(nothing was lost or damaged), so no complaints there. The Bad: John, the owner, is at best careless and at worst dishonest. I read the other negative reviews here, and that all seems pretty on-brand. He will bully you into accepting his shady practices. PDQ moved my stuff twice. The first time, John pressured me into signing a document saying they wouldn't be liable for anything damaged during the move. When I questioned him on this, he seemed offended that I would even ask and assured me that if he damaged anything he would pay for it out of pocket just because he would "feel bad." Then why have me sign a document? He just wanted me to take his word. I caved and signed it, and luckily nothing was damaged during the move. They moved my stuff into his buddy's storage, which he claimed would be prorated if I didn't use the whole month (it wasn't) and I could pay by credit card (I couldn't). The second time they moved my stuff, John brought an extra mover just so he could get "in and out" quicker (the rate for an additional mover was not worth the time it saved me). Then, his incorrect math overcharged me 0.5 hours (see attached photo). He was rushing me to sign the check, so I didn't bother to check his math (my bad, but still...). I didn't catch this error until I was going through old documents years later. 0.5 hours at $225/hour is... well, a lot of money. The entire experience left a poor taste in my mouth, like I had been taken advantage of. Personally, I would look for a mover with a bit more professional courtesy.
