If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would. This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We made a reservation well in advance for a party of 20. When we arrived, we were told that other guests were already sitting at our reserved tables. Instead of honoring our reservation, they squeezed our entire group into a much smaller area where everyone was cramped and uncomfortable. Our server was kind and did the best they could, but the kitchen and overall management were a disaster. Dinner took over 2 1/2 hours, and food came out one or two plates at a time over the entire evening--even though we all ordered at the same time. Some people had finished eating before others had even received their meals. I ordered the nachos, and they didn't arrive until 2 1/2 hours after we sat down. Waiting that long for nachos is simply unacceptable. We were repeatedly told the kitchen was backed up because they were busy and because items like the chips were "homemade." They absolutely were not--they tasted like standard bagged tortilla chips from the grocery store. To make matters worse, the food itself was mediocre and not worth the wait (the one standout was the fried okra). Between the mishandled reservation, the excessive wait times, and the disappointing food, the entire experience was incredibly frustrating. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

We read through the reviews and almost left. But we figured let's have a beer and some mozzarella sticks so we weren't rude to our server. First, our server rocked. Great guy and conversational without being too much. The mozzarella sticks rolled out and they were awesome. So we decided to stay and grab more food. Pizza was delicious (I do prefer a more thin crust with a bit more crunch, but I'm not here to split hairs), the wings were cooked to perfection, and the fish wasn't quite there. We did order "extra crispy" but within minutes the breading became soft. For a bar, I'd say it was good. Not worthy of so many one stars we saw. Room for improvement? Of course! But there is ALWAYS room for improvement. We would definitely revisit. read more

Everything aesthetically looked great, but nearly everything was overcooked, dry, and had no seasonings. Our sever was great at first, but then disappeared after our food had arrived. We received our items in a timely manner, about 15 minutes after ordering, but the big problem was the taste, and lack of taste of the food.We were with our friend and his 10 year old daughter and she ordered the French toast and it tasted like meat! They must cook everything on the same grills without cleaning them in between. The best item was the wings. They were still very dry, but the seasoning was good on those at least. We each ordered beers and asked to not have chilled glasses as I saw some people at the beer receive them that way and they still delivered them in chilled glasses. I liked their options for beer though and they tasted good so they keep the lines clean. I like how they refreshed the space from how the brewery had it, they really utilized the space well and made it literally and feel larger and airier in there. The tvs are in great spots to be able to see a few from any place you're sitting in the restaurant. When we were there they had sports and news on silently without captions while top country music was playing. We won't be back, sad waste of a great location. read more

First time visiting this place. Had a tall draft to start my lunch. Draft was $7 and tasty. For lunch I ordered the taco trio. For $13 the tacos were tasty though wish it would have been served with a side like charro beans or cilantro rice or even a side salad to make it a complete meal. Service was friendly, even if it was slow. We weren't in a rush but it took a while for the bloody marys' to come out. They were actually served after the food arrived. read more

Got there around 11:30 am. Service was slow but very friendly. Ordered 3 items, one was a fried item that we sent back because the oil was dripping off the batter. Appetizers came out after the main course. It is a nice atmosphere, good for drinks but they need to train up their kitchen staff. read more

The jalapeño poppers and wings are dynamite. Service with three different barkeepers was also top notch. Whomever rated this place poorly was either having a bad day or completely oblivious to the food and service. Fast service, well prepared food, and great pours. read more

The bar was nice and long and the menu had promise .but the sandwich tasted like the bread was trenched in butter . Just so greasy . And on top of it the sandwich came whole. Never have I seen a sandwich not nicely cut diagonally across. Especially, since we were sharing. So I asked for silverware to cut it myself. Guess what I got? a fork ? So we had to fork it across to attempt to cut it . I don't think we will go back . read more

I have eaten there twice with my daughter on a shopping trip to Taylor. It was one of the BEST restaurants I have ever eaten it! The staff was very efficient and friendly and the food was SUPERB! I really wanted to like this place, but the disappointments kept coming. Mozzarella sticks were so salty they were heartburn inducing; the marinara was supposed to be warm but was cold (not a dealbreaker, but just another negative point). The chili cheese fries had just a sprinkle of cheese, but plenty of chili. No condiments with it and none on the table. The New Yorker sandwich we ordered was *wet* on the bottom slice. It was supposed to come with sauerkraut but instead had thousand island dressing. What? We ordered three different drinks. The first, the Golden Bullet tasted like an alcohol-free ginger beer. The second, a Peach Beach, was very tasty but mostly ice (also supposed to be served in a pint glass, but see photo. The third, the Tower 34Tini we ordered with light ice and they brought a half glass-full out (see sad photo). Then the lid wasn't tight, so pouring into the martini glass provided meant even LESS drink as the table got soaked. Finally, 15 TVs in here, all playing the UT game (yay local football!) but the ONE I was watching was switched to Florida/Tennessee game. Why not two of the side-by-side TVs you ask? I guess mine was the one that the bartenders could see best. I dunno. It was irritating though and I had to change my seating. After walking around and exploring Taylor we decided to try Second Street Station this afternoon. We ordered cocktails and bite, mozzarella sticks, fried pickles and jalapeno poppers. Our cocktails were subpar and in fact we had to send the monitor back as it was undrink able, my old fashioned was tolerable but not good. My friend and I decided to stop by for dinner and drinks. The ambience was fun and lively. Server was nice. Food was mediocre (we ordered some wings, tri tip steak and fried chicken). Cool atmosphere and great service. This place could be really good if they put any effort into the food. The queso was bland and curdled without any trace of the hatch chiles it is supposed to feature. The pizza did not have the ingredients it listed and the ones it had were just dropped in single clumps. It's like they left the high schoolers to it with no training and no supervision. read more

The interior of this place is really nice and our server was really sweet and helpful. The food could use some work. We really liked the Buffalo wings but not the garlic Parmesan. The fries could definitely be crispier but were seasoned well. The pizza rolls were a hot mess. First of all, they were way too big and the texture was gross and got boring after a while. They were mostly made up of dough and were so oily. I did like pizza sauce; it had a really nice flavor. But it was totally overpowered by the ridiculous amount of dough and oil. Went to Second Street with a team working on the largest construction site in Texas. We were met by a nice server, but unfortunately, she disappeared after taking our order. We were there to celebrate a team member, but we're unable to eat. The food nor any explanation as to why , never made it to our table. Waiting 45 minutes, we had to head back to work. Perhaps our server was back preparing lunch, or decided it was too hot work?? Or perhaps we were not welcome at Second Street? Whatever the reason, I wouldn't head to this place. Walked into the bar and instantly got a weird vibe. Getting stared at by bartenders. Slow service. rude. The red head bartender doesn't know how to do her job. She would rather sit around and talk than do her job. She was rude to not only me. but my group of friends I was with. The overall trip to the station was horrible. I've eaten here many times, but the service has really gone downhill. Today my friend and I each ordered a half of a Cubano, and got about a quarter of a sandwich. The waiter told us it doesn't come with fries and we had to show him on the menu that it does. My friend said he didn't want mustard and was told it doesn't come with mustard... again, pointed out in the menu it does! Then he asked for mayonnaise on the side.... They're out! We arrived around noon and the place wasn't full by any means so no clear explanation for the incredibly slow service. There appeared to be one server. I was afraid to try anything else so I went with the burger. It was actually pretty good. The fries were limp but warm so I didn't mind too much. The wait just about drove me crazy. We waited at least 15 min. to just get a menu then another 40 minutes for the food to arrive. I get it - it was lunchtime and presumably there is only one cook. This place is forever a favorite. I lived in the lofts above and am from the bar industry in Austin, so I know a good margarita when I taste one - and these are the best, no matter who is making them. Toto, Eric, and Rob are to die for - the most professional bartenders I've seen! Tania, a bartender/bar manager is a real hustler - she surely sets the standard along with all of the other employees. Beyond the cocktails, service, and cleanliness, and they couldn't have made me feel more at home! The manager, Bill, is exemplary in his involvement and always ensures guests have the best experience.! Great food, great service, great environment. 5+++++++ stars! read more

Nice place. Clean fresh look spacious and wait staff is very friendly. Lots of TV's to keep you occupied while waiting for your food. The place is newly opened and I believe that they still to work on a few things. Getting the food out quicker and work on the temperature of the food going out to the table. French fries were cold and my friend's potatoes were under cooked. Once they get a handle on these things, it will be a great place to grab a meal. read more

Cold fries, tasteless sandwich, a pizza that looked and tasted like it came straight from the freezer section, burned pizza rolls, Mexican martini that tasted like tequila and olive juice, took 40 minutes to get the food and zero service. We were there over an hour and never got a water refill. Considering this is the owners second location(the first is pretty successful) they better get a plan to fix this hot mess or its not going to last long. read more
