I was dealing with "Thermoil in Belmont, MA" and got zero answers from them with back and forth nonsense about an electric water heater that I needed replaced. So after a few months of nothing from "Thermoil", I texted 128 Plumbing in Wakefield on a Sunday, got a response and had an appointment for the beginning of the week. They had a person come over to look at the work I needed done and the next day they had "Tony and Santos" come over for the installation of a new electric water heater. They have great service plans for their customers, giving you the top products offered in the field for your piece of mind on longevity and durability. You know who you are dealing with when someone comes over to work in your house with company vehicles. Not someone in a beat up personal vehicle that looks like they are having issues. If there were more star ratings I could give for 128 Plumbing it would be a 100% star rating. Charlie Boyd Chelsea, MA

They called promptly at 9:30 AM the next morning and arrived by 10. We needed a replacement water heater, and they were completely done by 5 PM. They are focused, efficient, and helpful. I also appreciate the membership they offer as a company. Wonderful team!!

Full disclosure, I know Chris personally so it made it a bit easier when choosing a business, but I…read moredoubt his approach to customer service would be any different if I were a complete stranger. Chris was at my house within 30 minutes of initial contact. The problem was diagnosed within 5 minutes, and the part was ordered. Before having to place the order for the part Chris made several phone calls in an attempt to find the part that day, and rectify the issue immediately because he was concerned that with a child in the house we shouldn't go without heat. It goes without saying that these HVAC guys are in high demand this time of year, so to have a technician at my house inside of 30 minutes was impressive. Without belaboring the point, the work was completed fast, the price was ridiculously reasonable considering it was an emergency call on a holiday weekend. If you are looking to have HVAC work done you'd be crazy not to contact Seasonal Control. He's an up and coming small business owner with many years of experience. Honest, reliable and hard working. As a consumer, that's all I can ask for. Thank you Chris. You really did come through for my family and I right before the temperature drops to below freezing!

The best. Couldn't have hoped for more. Without boring everyone with the details of our…read moresituation, we'd only been in this house for 6 months and with a history of quirky working behavior from our central air, the previous HVAC company I called (can't recall their name) were puzzled with the initial furnace install (from DiPietro), "why'd they do that?", "have no idea what they were thinking with this?" and recommended a band-aid that should get us through the seasons but thought a new intake duct through the floor, etc. for $3000 was the ideal remedy. Several months pass, and in the peak of July '18 humidity our furnace/AC stopped working. I took too long to deal with the matter, but when we called Seasonal Control, Bob came over, took 30 minutes or so to determine the shutdown (burned wire) and then another hour to figure out the dampers were incorrectly wired, re-did the wiring, ran the tests, etc. Perfect. All's well. And has never been better. $260+. This company does not do "online"(Facebook, etc.), mostly word of mouth, and they're busy, plenty booked up. So, you may get help right away or may be a challenge. But I could not recommend them higher.

Please keep this in mind and consider a second opinion if they give you a large quote. This is my story: My elderly mother contacted me in a panic after she had a technician named Ryder come to her house to check/clean her heating system. Somewhere in the process, he told her that her entire heating system needed to be replaced and would roughly cost her $15,000...AND he gave her a DEADLINE of 3pm that day to get back to him or that price would change. Please note that her heating system works and is not broken. I decided to contact Cranney's on my own and ask one simple question: "Do your technicians get a commission on their sales?" I was placed on hold so the operator could consult the manager. When she returned, I was told the manager was at lunch and would call me back. I then asked for an assistant manager or someone else that might have the answer. She then asked "What is this in regards to?" (I am not sure why she asked that again, as I only asked that one question). Sensing the defensiveness in her voice, I decided to tell her that I wanted my technician to receive a commission because "he did a wonderful job". She sounded relieved and more willing to seek out an answer. She put me on hold again. When she returned she told me that she could "not disclose that information"...this was enough for me. If a technician charges 15K for a job and gets 5% commission, that's a $750 addition to his paycheck. Please keep in mind I never got an official answer, however if the answer was "no" then it would've been simple. Offering commission on services like this without guardrails, is a corrupt incentive for technicians with no integrity and an easy way to con old women into spending money they don't have on something they don't need. Not to mention the coercion technique used causing unnecessary panic by telling her that a decision needs to be made TODAY...or else. Also, you should know that the manager never called me back. I have no interest in telling them how to operate, I can only offer my experience with the hope that the consumer is better informed. Please consider a second opinion when using their services.
