They told me I needed a new one but then Alex came out, and he was incredible! He knew almost immediately what the problem was, had the necessary parts right in his truck, and had my fireplace up and running in about 30 minutes. My 15-year-old fireplace is working like new again! Both John and Alex were knowledgeable, professional, and clearly know their stuff. After dealing with another company that couldn't fix the problem, I was so impressed with how quickly and confidently Alex diagnosed and repaired it and they were so reasonably priced. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. I highly recommend them!

If your chimney sweep is not taking the whole stove out in the process, they are not doing you any service! The A-Z team was very thorough and was able to show us the condition of our liner and some issues ignored by the previous so-called inspections so we were able to get all of it addressed to prevent future problems. They also went above and beyond to get to the bottom of our stubborn damper handle, getting everything working smoothly again. Pricing is reasonable, and the guys were neat, friendly, and really cared about doing the job right. After the cleaning, we had them install a new liner and our stove is back to operating efficiently for the first time in years. Highly recommend A-Z Chimney Sweeps!

I recently decided to try replacing my very old sink disposal that was making a loud grinding noise. It was at least 30 years old so I wasn't surprised. The repair was surprisingly easy as I used the same brand to replace and the flange is the same after decades so I didn't need to do the hard work of interacting with the sink itself. When I pulled out the old unit, sure enough there was Ken's sticker on it from when he installed it for the prior owners of my home decades earlier! It was so old it didn't have an area code needed. Ken's team also told me about some repairs that could be safely deferred and done with the help of the local town when they did other repairs they are responsible for, which saved me about $1000. Tip: visit the Absolute website as there are usually coupons available to reduce the service charges.

I contacted R.H. Young after a heat pump in which they had installed a new motor and serviced…read morenearly a year ago stopped heating. The motor replacement had been done on their recommendation, as my 14-year-old heat pump was beginning to get loud. I was told that after the repairs I could then get many more years of service out of the heat pump, and paid $1840 for the work. They sent out a service technician to check why it wasn't heating. He determined the freon had leaked out and I'd have to schedule any additional repairs with the office. He also said that he would never have repaired a 14-year-old heat pump and would just have recommended replacing it. There was an $220 service charge for his work. When I called the office they said it could take an additional $1000 to track down the source of the leak, (I had never had a leak previous to their work on the heat pump) and provide new freon. I asked to speak to the manager to see if there was a better solution than paying another $1000, when I had already paid them over $2000 for a repair I had gotten very little value for. The manager called when I was out, but said he would call again in the next two days. I called back at his number and got an answering service where I left a message. I never received another call back from him. Apparently RH Young's customer service ends when the customer's check clears. I went ahead and installed a new heat pump, but not through RH Young.
