I've come to this body shop before but for minor dents and what not. This time around my car was parked at my work and someone backed into it. The body shop had it for over a month but that's because of insurance issue. Nonetheless they did an amazing job!!!! I'm so grateful and happy they took their time. I have came here quite a few times unfortunately and fortunately as well haha. It's not the greatest having to get your car repaired but each and every time Patrick has been wonderful to work with. He is extremely professional and helpful and Carlos is the same. The whole shop is really nice and they take pride in their work. I noticed a bit of chipping on the paint a month later which unfortunately is too long to get it fixed under their warranty but that was my fault for not checking everything and i didn't expect them to cover it which they didn't but Patrick still went out of his way to try and paint over it to at least protect the car a bit and I truly appreciated that. I see that the entire shop takes pride in the work and they truly treat you like a friend and family. I recently had my Mercedes sl500 repaired with Searson Body Shop. Both my front bumper and passenger's front fender were damaged. I received great service with Searson' Body shop, both by Patrick and Carlos. My car looks better now than it did before I was in the accident. It was through my insurance company, State Farm, it was a nightmare dealing with them, but Carlos handled it very well. I did, what I thought was, some fairly minor damage to the side of my truck. The first two body shops I went to for estimates said they would need to completely replace the whole side panel of the bed, to the tune of $3000. I went to Searson and was told they would have to pull the side panel off the truck, but they would be able to hammer out the damage and repaint. The total bill was $1050 and the work is beautiful. My mother went to their shop, horrible experience.. They provided a rental with over a month expired tags. Left over spray on the hood. They messed up the interior lining of the roof from the back and put masking tape. She kept telling them to fix how it was and they played stupid that they hadn't done anything... Like you guys for reals...? I have a photo my mothers car before it went to get repaired and it's not hanging. Searson Body Shop made my insurance repairs painless! The front end of my CR-V was scrunched, and I didn't know where to take it. They were in AAA's network, along with a handful of other shops, so I took a stab in the dark and hit repair shop gold! Steve is great! He kept me informed of the repairs and timeframe. Three weeks and three pages (!!!) of inventory later, I got my car back, looking better than it did before it got smashed! In the weeks following my repairs, I've had a recurring problem with the windshield sprayers that got replaced. Every time I call, I just have to bring my car in and they fix it on the spot. This place is horrible I got duped bad. I want in to see if I can get an estimate on how much it would be to fix my car. He said he would check it out and let me know. The next day he called me and told me it was going to be around 3000 dollars I told him I don't have that kind of money he said ok you don't have to get it fixed but you owe me 1200 for inspecting your car and figuring out hat was wrong with it. I took my car into Searson to repair damage on my rear corner panel, repair was good however when I took my car in my radio/nav and charging port were working, I left it with Searson to do the repair when I picked my car up the radio/nav and charging port no longer work they told me they won't fix it and it was clearly their fault, I filed with the BAR and waiting to hear back. this place has horrible customer service and they were very rude, when I went to make a complaint on who I spoke to the night before on the phone the guy asked me if I saw the scary old guy outside when I came in I said I saw an older guy but no one intimidating I need my car fixed his response was that's who you spoke to last night and chuckled, who says things like that at a business. I will not give up and will take them to small claims if I have to! read more

I've seen some shoddy repairs and was really worried that the car would never look the same... Boy was I wrong! I opened up yelp and found this GEM, all positive 5* star reviews. The staff was extremely courteous, they let us stop by and check on the progress of our vehicle (2004 Blue lagoon GLI). They were attentive, helpful, down to earth, and great guys.. the atmosphere is great! After all the repairs were completed the car looked stunning. Paint and lines were immaculate! This past week, a piece of road debris damaged the front end of the same vehicle, my brother, now living in San Jose made a special trip just to have the same shop repair it.. My car (2017 Mazda) was unfortunatly hit while I was parked at work, my trunk took a pretty big blow. So I started a claim back in May, I called my insurance and they gave me a few names of a couple shops. I've never needed a body shop so I had no idea what to expect. Searson body shop was one of the names my insurance company told me. My insurance set up the appointment for An estimate and within a few minutes I had a text from Searson about my appointment! I showed up to my appt the next day and they took some pictures of my vehicle and we set an appt for drop off! The waiting for the appointment is what took the longest but my car was drivable so no big deal. I dropped it off Monday morning 6/20. I was greeted by Patrick on Monday morning who had advised me that due to covid he did have a few techs out so it might take a little longer than usual and I said no worries it is what it is! As I was leaving the shop my car was getting taken to the back already later Monday afternoon I got a text with a link for an update on my car! My car was ready for pick up today Wednesday 6/22! I also need to add that they informed me that their work has life time warrant ! To me communication is very important! And Searson body shop kept me informed the whole time! First of all, I have never had service great enough to feel compelled to write a review. Searson Body Shop, however, is my first exception. After getting quotes and shopping around, I decided to take my car here a month ago. Steve (the owner...I think) was REALLY friendly and to-the-point. I was given a quote and asked to drop the car off on a Monday. Steve took care of EVERYTHING, from the rental, speaking to the insurance people, to making sure I was getting a check for the repairs from the insurance. I literally did nothing besides drop the car off. I dropped my car off, got a rental, and was out within about 10 minutes. A week later, I came back and my car looked better than ever. In fact, there was a scrape on the bumper that had bugged me for years before the accident and, to my surprise, that was fixed too! The outside was washed and waxed, the tires were cleaned, the inside was COMPLETELY detailed, and smelled awesome! I was sad to even drive it knowing that I'd probably never see it that clean again. :( Anyways, this guy is honest and stands by his shop's work. He was absolutely professional and courteous. I have never met anybody with a better business ethic. If you're reading this, you're probably in need of some repairs and can't seem to decide where to go to get your car fixed. I took my car to Searson's after it was hit while parked at the curb on Christmas Day. They replaced the fender, blended the paint with the door next to it, detailed the ENTIRE CAR, inside and out (which was totally unexpected) and will wash & wax it for me after the paint cures. I've unfortunately been hit twice while driving in Salinas. Both times I took my car to Searson Body Shop and both times I got it back looking even better than it did before the accident! Can't say enough good things about these folks. They handle all the insurance mess so all I have to do is stop in and pick up a rental and come back when it is finished. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS SHOP! Went in to get the whole left side of my car repaired. Body work came out ok; but when it came down to matching the original color, they COULD NOT pull it off. When I brought up the issue to Steve, he refused to fix it, and in return tried to convince me otherwise by stating that the original paint was of "bad quality" (like a salesman with a horrible pitch). After disussing the incident to my insurance, my car sat at the shop for 2 weeks before they even attempted to match the color for a second time. I DO NOT recommend this shop to anyone, take your business elsewhere to a shop that is focused on meeting customer satisfaction. read more

Steve and the rest of the employees at Searson Body Shop made my insurance repairs on my Escape Hybrid easy and problem free. The work was completed in a reasonable amount of time and the car looks as good as new despite having over $11k in damage. They handled all of the communication with the AAA insurance and also handled picking up the car from the tow company. The staff was very professional and also helped me out by delivering the car and picking up my rental car. I have never had such good service from a body shop before. Once the car was delivered, we took it out for a test drive to make sure everything was to my expectations. I also received a follow up call a few days later to make sure that no issues were discovered. They faxed me an itemized list of the work that was to be done and also encouraged me to visit and see the work being done on the car. I would definitely use Searson to work on my car again even though they are located about an hour from where I live. read more

My first repair -- minor dent -- was done well. When I went back for a second more extensive repair, Searson's refused to have the vehicle (which was rear ended) inspected by a dealer with knowledge about mechanical issues that would have been impacted. Had to involve my insurance company to get Searson's to take the car to the dealer to be checked. Mostly, I didn't like the way the staff initially tried to patronize me on the phone. Won't be going back. Too bad because my first experience was a good one. read more
