had them do some work for me a few years ago, had my cloth seats replaced by leather in my Silverado. They did a great job andGabe was onward at the time. My understanding is he's not any longer and it's reflected by the service. I called two days ago to get a quote on some service , I caught the guy at lunch, but he took down all the information for what I was looking for and said he would call me back as soon as he got back from lunch, this was 12:15 At 3:30 that afternoon I had not received a call so I called once again the shop manager, Eric, answered. I asked for Johnny who was who I talked to earlier and he seemed confused as to who Johnny was at first, then he told me he wasn't available. He was at lunch. When I questioned that he said that they alternate managers taking lunch and I told him that he was on lunch at 12:15 and I was quite surprised that he would still be on lunch at 3:30. Anyway, Eric is the kind of guy that likes to talk over you so it was a hard conversation, but he said he would have Johnny call me back. Never heard from him that day, then the following day I called him once again and got their answering machine, so I left a message. Finally today day three I a call back from "Johnny" and before he could get a word out, I told him that I had already made arrangements to get the job done. Everyone there goes out of their way to do the best job for you. We have a Honda Pilot Touring and live in a hot area in Southern Monterey County. Erick showed us all the degrees of window tint. We picked the BEST tint that reduced the heat & UV the most over all the other shades. The test window pane was cool when slipped in front of a heat lamp. Had to get that! They got it done and it came with lifetime guarantee (of owning the car)! They wouldn't let us leave without a TOTAL TOP NOTCH DETAIL FREE. For the future, I asked the price of a detail and was surprised how low it was. They also sell tires & provide other services. Gabe is the owner and very knowledgeable and loves vintage cars! Nice waiting area and can give you a ride elsewhere while they do the job. EPILOGUE: our trip to San Diego was incredible! We didn't have the air conditioning & fan going as usual ...up high. This happened years ago. I'm talking 2018-2019. I had a Mazda CX5 and the lights I attached i bought there. Forgot how much I paid but I think it was around $250. I went back a few months after I bought them to get replaced because the lights stopped working. They replaced them free of charge which was great. However, I took them back again in a few months because they stopped working. They refused to replace them again and instead offered to sell me a different style of lights for over $700. I couldn't believe the price for two headlights for a 2016 Mazda CX5. I didn't buy them and when I left I researched the different lights that fit my car and found that same model, maybe not brand, but the same style lights on not just Amazon but direct from other dealers from anywhere between $20 - $50. I was outraged that they would try to take advantage of me like that and left them a honest review of my experience. Which was a bad one. It wasn't personal, it was an honest review of my experience. The owner Gabe didn't like that and take me down and found out where I worked. He went to my work twice to try to talk to me about my review. At the time all his reviews were 5 stars. Which now made sense to me cause he was talking and bribing people to remove the bad reviews. Well when he talked to me he talked to me for around 15 minutes and told me his whole life story and tried his best to try to get me to feel sorry for him. He said that a review like that could really hurt his business and he has people that depend on him and then finally he said he could detail my car or put tints on my car for free if I took it down. Completely terrible experience.. I was told by the owner and front desk help, that they installed aftermarket parts with great work . So I asked if they could install headers for me .. they moved parts around that didn't need to be touched and were not set back properly.. I was told it would take over night and ended up taking 3 days .. which turned into them charging me 3 days of work .. when it was a simple headers swap in my 70k Camaro ZL1 .. I spoke to the owner before picking up my car after getting the quote of 2,500$ which is outrageous by the way.. When I told the owner , he got real aggressive and started cursing at me, telling me if "it's so easy why don't you do it then..?" ... As a birthday surprise for my wonderful son in law Wunsa, we decided to have his 2015 Dodge Charger windows tinted and the car detailed. As an excuse to have Wunsa's car for the day I asked to borrow it so I could take my car into the dealership (on his birthday!). Lorena was so accommodating to fit in the car although their calendar was full through September, nonetheless they accommodated us. When we brought it in I met Lorena's other half Gabriel, and we hit it off, he was thorough in explaining what work was going to be performed. They were both so hospitable while inside their office. Although, it took longer to perform the work we were assured they were going to complete the work, however it would not be ready til after closing hours. I had to tell Wunsa that I had found something wrong with his car and had to take it into the garage. I explained it was going to take longer because the part was being delivered. When the car was ready we all went to pick it up and the look on Wunsa's face was so enjoyable, we all felt sympathetic joy! He was so surprised and happy. The work performed by Grease Monkey was beyond reproach of the highest workmanship and care. You can tell that the workers take pride in their work product. Horrible service. Grease Monkeys put my tint on a year ago and at the time told me that if I were to get pulled over for the tint that they would take it off and put it back on for no charge (warranty). I called and they told me it was covered, then I show up and the guy tells me that it is not covered. He told me that he would not charge for removal, but would charge to put the tint back on. Then he told me it would be $25 if it took them longer than an hour to remove the tint. I said ok and he hands me a paper to sign that says $45. I told him that he just told me $25 and he said that, "No, I didn't". Weird. I didn't want to argue and signed the paper. It took them less than 30 minutes to remove the tint. I get my car back and there is water everywhere inside and dirt on my side panel. This isn't the first time that I was done wrong by this establishment. When I first put my tint, my partner called, and they told him a price and he made the appointment. Then I showed up, and they told me a price that was $50 more than the price he told my partner. In addition, the same thing happened with the paper signing. The price was higher than the original price told, plus the $50. I am highly disappointed. read more

Enter Grease Monkeys Customs. On a Saturday, with just an early morning phone call, Gabe and his crew were able to fit us in for a carpet, upholstery, and headliner cleaning. They did some deep work, going above and beyond my requests, did some addition small (and even large) work that wasn't requested but was very much appreciated, and delivered an amazing interior considering what we started with. I left Grease Monkeys with a sparkling exterior, trunk, engine, trim, and carpet, and a nearly perfect headliner. I was amazed. Grease Monkeys really came though, and I'll be a returning customer for some dents and auto damage on my other vehicle. The owner Gabe owns a few exotic cars himself (ask about his Audi R8) Gabe carry's every style of tint and shows you in person what you will be getting. When the car was finished (same day) it came out detailed and looking better then I imagined! Beyond satisfied no bubbles (after two days of drying, completely normal) perfect job!! I liked the tint so much I asked Gabe to powder coat the wheels gloss black and stage 3 buff and wax the car. Once again, It came out perfect and looked like a new car!! I was looking on Yelp for a good place to get my windows tinted and I found a few places with good reviews and this was one of them. I then proceeded to call a few and get a quote for my car and initially they told me it would be a certain amount because my car had extra, small windows they had to do as well, which totally made sense. I then had my mind set on another place because it was cheaper but then Gabe, the owner, gave me a call and with his superior customer service, made me change my mind and I decided to make an appointment with them. He even gave me an even better price than what was originally quoted to me. I arrived and the waiting area was so cute and clean and they offered wi-fi and a tv you can watch while you wait for your car. Unfortunately, my car would take some time because I guess they were short a guy and they offered me a ride home in their courtesy shuttle. They picked me up a few hours later and when I arrived at the shop, I was greeted by Edgar and Gabe,the owner, and both were outstanding. My car turned out even better than I imagined and they even vacuumed the interior of my car, which made it look completely new. Quality! Worth every penny. Wish I had gone in sooner. My car looks amazing! My '09 car had a dent (~6in diameter) on the hood, cloudy headlights, and a dull exterior. Gabe and his wife were able to remove the dent (and even worked on another dent gratis), make the headlights look crystal clear, and throw in a wash with the special shine on the caps :D I'm on a budget, so I essentially asked them to do as much as possible until they hit my budget.
