I called the next morning to cancel and was told by the staff that all sales were final, period. I left a message for the optometrist and have yet to hear back from anyone. The staff should tell patients in advance that ALL SALES ARE FINAL. At no time during my visit did the optometry staff warn that all sales were final. I wasn't aware until I looked at the tiny receipt that I was handed (which I immediately put in my wallet stated that all sales were final). I agree with the other posts about the staff and Dr. Ordonez' team are friendly. However, I am disappointed that I couldn't cancel the order even if when I called within 24 hours.

It was a bit of a wait, but it just speaks to the time and patience Dr. Zamora takes with her patients. And then Judy! After I filled in my intake information, she explained the purpose of every machine used throughout the eye exam. I even got to see some pictures taken of the back of my eye (first time ever seeing that after over 25 years of wearing glasses!). After the exam she took my existing eyeglasses to pull the existing prescription. She courteously tightened and cleaned them too!! Dr.Zamora then proceeds to complete the exam and explains every step of the way as she assesses my eyes. She's very personable so I felt comfortable sharing recent eye history and issues I've been experiencing with vision and wearing contact lenses. She's very knowledgeable too! Overall wonderful experience and am now looking forward to having my annual eye exams completed with Dr.Zamora and her team!

I have a high prescription, so I paid over $100 extra to upgrade to 1.74 high-index lenses -- even after using my insurance, the total was still over $200. Yet the lenses are ridiculously thick and heavy, nothing like what I expected for 1.74. It is even thicker than my old one without any upgrade. I feel like I've been sold an "upgrade" that made no real difference. The doctor and staff were nice, but that doesn't change the fact that this product is garbage for the price I paid. I should take my money somewhere else -- this place will leave you with regret, not better vision.

I've been seeing Dr. Chang for about 7 years now, great doctor always a good experience…read more My contact lens prescription expired 3 months ago (apparently they only are good for one year) and I just wanted to reorder another box until my next annual appointment in a few months. I looked up that sometimes they can do a courtesy extension of the prescription if your vision has been stable and have no issues. I asked for such an extension but was told multiple times I would have to get another contact lens exam for $160 (out of pocket) in addition to the cost of the lenses. I think that as a long time patient they should be able to accommodate such an easy request, since I would be getting my annual exam soon again anyway. It's not easy to schedule an unnecessary exam especially with a busy schedule, just to get a box of contacts. Bottom line loyalty doesn't seem to count here and maybe it's time to switch optometrists.

I wasnt able to locate on yelp or google but its located 2nd floor right next to Macy's . I came on a saturday for a 6:15 pm appointment on February 21st and booked with Dr.Catherine. I was seen by Dr. Steven Lee instead. The visit was great.. Absolutely didn't have to wait a long time. It's been awhile since I last checked out my eyes. Dr. Lee took his time assessing the concerns and issues I had. It was very easy to talk to Dr.Lee . He was patient, I did not feel rushed at all. Compare to all the visits I have had with other locations, all the doctors would rush and I would be done being seen by a doctor within 10 mins while the wait with appointments would take 30 minutes. I highly recommend coming here, time is money. The full appointment took 50 minutes with less than 1 minute wait to be pre-test screening and assessed by a doctor.

Edited after Business response to include:…read more There was no misunderstanding. I showed up at 10:00 when the shop opened, ready for my 10:00 appointment. The Dr. didn't begin until almost 10:15. That's late. I was told before my exam that my frame size could be accommodated. It could not. No amount of "above and beyond" was needed or would have changed the bad information from the beginning. The shop can't accommodate wide frames. The business owner did offer a free pair of frames (that would not fit), by way of apology. I do not want free things, but thanks for the sentiment. Original post: Dr. Luo was 15 minutes late to her 1st appointment of the day with no apology or even mention. While waiting for my exam, I told the front desk that I needed large frames and asked which brands to look at. I was told that two brands in stock would accommodate me, and that they could order anything else. After the exam, it turns out they do not have a pair of frames that will fit me. They did encourage me many times to get a smaller pair with the hope that the springs would stretch enough. Would still be too small. Since that was certainly not going to be a viable option, I asked for copies of the written prescriptions for reading, computer, and distance, to be filled elsewhere, only to be told that I already had them, and that I misunderstood when Dr. Luo told me she would save distance scripts to their system and that they had printed them out in tandem to save paper. That's not a misunderstanding. That's a miscommunication. All around, poor place.

DEFRAUDING a 19-year-old…read more My son walked into LA Optometry in Montebello yesterday, asked what the costs would be for a contact lens exam and fitting. He was told for $75.00 he would receive a contact exam, fitting, and training. He had just taken an eye exam two months ago, so he brought his eye prescription with him. After taking the test and getting fitted for the contacts, he was charged $145.00. When asked why it had doubled, their answer to him was "we had to give you two eye exams". So basically they're committing FRAUD, telling customers one price and charging you another after the fact. Their staff should have made it very clear to my son, that he would get charged for two eye exams from the start. That they would need to retest his eyes and test a second time for contacts separately. That was never explained to him. If we had known from the start, he could have simply returned to his original Optometrist and not have gotten scammed by adults who know better. So much for helping local businesses. We'll NEVER return, and we'd strongly recommend to anyone thinking of using their business to have the price written down before you get charged double.
