Had the best experience today! From the ease of setting up an appointment until we got seen by the doctor, 10/10! My kids got MediCal and I am so glad I listened to my mom's recommendation to go here. When I first called in to set up an appointment, I didnt have my child's id number. The gentleman at the reception was very patient and kind to look up their names. Sadly, he was not able to find it. It was my fault bec. I didnt call prepared. Even though, he was so patient with me and was very professional. The next time I called, I got their id numbers, and setting up an appointment was a breeze! The lady who answered was very corteous and friendly. D-day today, we arrived 15 mins early. The receptionist was very kind. She was smiling as she received us and let us in. I had a 13 and a 5 year old. They surely know how to deal with kids! Dr. Esther was very professional and vwry accomodating. My kids were very at ease with her. We love her! One good thing also is they have a lot of option for eyeglasses! Overall, 10/10 and this office is highly recommended! read more

Had a great experience today with Lisa. She has a very friendly and welcoming attitude!! Which is very rare these days. I was also there on December 27, 2025 & meant to leave a review but forgot all about it. I love this place the doctor is great & the staff is amazing. A couple of years ago the male doctor ( don't remember his name) told my husband he had bleeding in his eyes. Thanks to him we kept trying yo figure out why & eventually did find out. Receive 0 customer service after placing my order prescription here. Paid for my orders, and didn't receive any follow ups or calls about when my contacts will become available. I also tried calling the office to get an update as to why it's taking so long, but cannot get a hold of anyone and kept being sent straight to voicemail. Left a voicemail and didn't receive any call back either. My contacts did not become available until 1 and half week later, and i was notified about contacts being ready via a text message???? Cannot comprehend at all. Definitely would not be going back to this place again. Would not recommend. read more

I decided to make an appointment at True Vision Optometry and saw Dr. Herrick Duong. Upon my arrival I presented the front desk with my ID card and they checked me in. I liked that the check in process was seamless and I did not have to fill out any questionnaires like other places. After the check in process I began doing the diagnostic testing. We did the usual tests and a test I've never done before which was the retinal imaging. After the tests and a brief medical history I was escorted to the exam room. Dr. Duong came in shortly after to get me and took me to his exam room. When I went in he already had all the lenses preset and we did the usual tests where you read each line of letters and the "is A better or B". He then went over the retinal imaging and explained that it shows us our overall eyes health and is a non invasive way versus dilating our eyes. He also mentioned that this information is saved on their EHR so they are able to reference previous images to check on our eye health each year. He was very informative and I learned a lot from my visit compared to my previous optometrist. He took the time to answer all my questions before letting me try on some contact lenses. He recommended me try on a new brand that he typically wears and to my surprise they were really comfortable. He sent me home with a couple pairs and let me know to call them back once I've finalized my decision on which brand I want to buy. There was no pressure to buy anything and I didn't feel rushed during my visit. See you next year Dr. Duong!! read more

I needed new glasses and I haven't checked my eyes in a year. I decided to check out this practice that I found on my insurance's office finder. When I arrived to the office the staff was very friendly and helped me setup my appointment. On the day of my exam eye, the doctor was friendly and professional. They also had a wide selection of glasses to choose from after I did my exam. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and I will be visiting this practice for all of my future eye exams. read more

Had a great experience at True Vision Optometry! I had an appointment at Costco on my rare day off, only to find out they don't take my insurance (EyeMed)! I called True Vision and they were able to see me that day AND they take my insurance. Everyone was friendly and the wait was short. Dr. Herrick Duong was fantastic! He explained everything so clearly and was patient with me not being able to decide if "1 or 2" is better. Haha. The assistants were also really good at explaining my options and what my insurance does and doesn't cover. And they gave a little reminder magnet for next year's appointment. Horrible customer service. I spent just under $400 for a pair of glasses and they called me 3 weeks later telling that the color I ordered was unavailable and I had only one choice of replacement colors. Apparently, I couldn't switch the frames because the lab was already making the lenses. Bad business practices shouldn't be at the customer's expense. read more

I was looking for an optometrist in the area who accepts VSP insurance. I tried a few, but everyone was booked until the end of the year. Probably for the same reason I was looking- to use up our vision benefits before year end. Somehow, a spot opened up through their online portal so I booked it right away. This appointment was for my daughter, and we're far away from home (vacationing in LA for the holidays, but live on the East coast). Dr. Salado was friendly, professional and her expertise was evident from the beginning. She made her recommendations personal and catered to my daughter's needs and lifestyle habits. She still treated us as if we could be potential regular patients, even though she knew we didn't live in the area. I really appreciated the office staff, who were patient and willing to help us maximize our benefits. If it works out that we someday move to LA or are in the area for another extended vacation, I would definitely consider making an appointment to see Dr. Salado for the rest of my family! Plenty of parking, easy to get into. Walked in and got help immediately (granted waiting room was empty, but still nice that they acknowledge me the moment I got in). Front desk person was kind and had me set up for my appointment, the assistant went through all the procedures/machines to get my eyes scanned and such. Then I was greeted by Dr. Herrick, examined my eyes and proceeded to explain the photos taken of my eyes. I appreciated that he didn't push me to purchase any frames or stuff, really nice guy. They had a large selection of glasses and they did not mind me trying out various pairs to find the ones I absolutely loved. The work area and glasses I tried on were sanitized shortly after as well. I am extremely satisfied with the quality of service and turn around time. I accidentally broke my glasses and needed new ones. I went in on Saturday morning and got my new pair with in a few days. Dr. Salado and her staff are very professional. I decided to switch from my long time optometrist because I felt like I was being rushed to get out of the office. Dr. Salado answered all the questions I had and made notes of my family's vision history. What I really liked is that she offers Optomap. Now there's a record of my retinas from year to year!
