Jason showed up, charged me $498.07. problem persisted. he came back, charged me another $114 for more parts. turned out it was a simple plastic tray that needed to be cleaned. $612.00 WASTED. My oven would not heat as indicated or stay hot. The technician on his second visit (after ordering parts) replaced the master control board in good time and was polite and knowledgeable. He was quite anxious about his full day, so didn't wait for oven temp on his gauge to read what the control board read, even though his gauge and my oven thermometer showed a lower temp when the preheat cycle was done. He had me sign a blank phone screen and I asked what I was signing. He said it just was saying he was done and going to his next job. When I asked that he come back inside to make sure the oven was getting hot enough he told me to call and make another appointment, he didn't have time. That would be appointment number three and I'm four weeks without a working oven at this point. Maybe don't book so many appointments for the techs each day? read more

He even noticed that my dishwasher had not been leveled properly and fixed that as well as installing the new springs for the door. I really appreciated how gently he introduced himself to my dog who was curious about what was happening. All-in-all, you have a great employee in Ethan and I would recommend Sears Service to others. Both calls I've had now, one for my dryer and one for the dishwasher were through my CHOICE Home Warranty. I requested service on my hot water heating system. I was scheduled 10 days out and received at lest 12 emails and text messages from Sears reminding me. They also gave me a 9 hour window to arrive so I had to plan my whole day at home. Half way through the day I received a call from the tech asking for the symptoms and in 60 seconds decided he couldn't fix it and cancelled the appointment. I supplied the make, model. description of issues and photos ahead of time so they could come prepared. I am disappointed and sad that this is the poor level of attention and service they provide. read more

Repair person did nothing as he could not work on my specific model refrigerator. Seems to me any repairman would have asked for specific information on what he was to repair before arriving at the customer's home. That sure would have been a big benefit to the repairman and me. In addition, I can tell you having to sit all day for any repairman is totally unsat to me as a customer. There are ways to more efficiently schedule appointments, maybe your company needs to look into a better way of meeting customer needs. read more

extreme bad customer service. Service tech was great, office/ scheduling exceptionally bad.

No body contacted me until after 5pm , tried contacting Sears home service since February 7th nobody would return calls or text messages. Had repairs done by someone else, parts were sent here the 14th of February. Today is the 21st. No contact of any kind until 5:08 pm . Horrible service by Sears. I'm sure the technicians are ok. It's the Sears automation with no way to contact anyone. Worst customer service experience I have ever had. read more

I set an appointment with Sears Home Services to come look at my clothes dryer. I cleared my schedule for today because of the ridiculous 8am - 5pm window that they give for the appointment. I received an email this morning, saying that they had missed me and the photo that was included was not my property. No telephone number to reach the technician and when I call the main number, I am guided through a labyrinth of options but not one to reach a live person. An extremely frustrating situation. Not a customer oriented organization. They are off my list of home-related vendors. I would give this review zero stars of the application. Let me do that, but I'm forced to give them at least one to post. read more

Didn't do anything and charged choice home warranty 100 labor fee. Then signed my name to the bill. I purchased a new dryer after old one failed. Told the service call could not be done for two weeks. Cancelled the service call. Rep called me today to say no problem it's a heating element. Next thing I see is a service charge of 100 dollars from Sears who didn't even show up to my house. read more

Sears charged me $385.00 to repair our Kitchen Aid refrigerator. That was to cover parts and repair! Then they charged me another $113.00 saying they sent the wrong parts. After the repair the problem continued as the repair man made the wrong diagnoses! We hired another company who showed us the real problem and recommended buying a new fridge. Sears said they would refund our money but then sent a letter saying the job was complete( even though it was not!) and the repair man had done what he was supposed to do even though he did not repair the problem! DO NOT USE SEARS REPAIR as they are dishonest!!! read more

Big surprise Sears is failing. I wish I would have looked this up before I scheduled an appointment. This is the most unresponsive company on the planet. There is no way to reach the technician. The technician showed up a half an hour early and did not wait for even one minute. My neighbor asked him to stay for 5 min and he was rude to her and said no. I was unable to get the work done on my dryer. I gave up the dryer wheel and heating element because I was told that I needed yet another item ( motor) for the dryer. They said I will be reimbursed for them. I have been working on this since January. I still don't have a dryer. I am unsatisfied with the service rendered. Sears Home Services does not have a phone number with a human you can talk to - ever. It's just a robot on their phone line. Everything must be done through their website, which is a complete mess. I had an appointment scheduled for a Friday. The weekend before, I logged in and was notified that earlier appointments were available, and I was desperate to get my AC fixed, so I made an appointment for the next day - Monday - and got a confirmation. But on Monday, no one showed up. I couldn't call anyone at Sears HS to find out what happened, or to get any help whatsoever. So then a few days later I got a text that the technician was showing up on the originally scheduled date, Friday. No way to confirm at all. So I waited on Friday for someone to show. Again, a no-show. Then 2 days later I got a text saying my appointment was confirmed...for the PREVIOUS Friday!!!! Yes, a date in the past! I finally gave up and found a different contractor. The kicker - a WEEK after the initial Friday date, I got a call from a technician who was on his way to my property!!! I told him that he works for the *worst* company ever, and that I no longer needed his services. Poor guy, this wasn't his fault. Then I get an email asking to write a review for the technician, and I get a receipt for zero dollars for the "repair". What a FUBAR company. NEVER USE THEM. This could all have been prevented had they allowed customers to talk with a human!!! read more
