After one initial visit, a video appointment, and a second in-person visit, all he was able to do was order a fan, decided it wouldn't fix the problem, and declared the fridge unfixable even though it's only two weeks old. Wasn't helpful and didn't seem knowledgeable at all. read more

Technician was professional, knowledgeable and very helpful, however, the overall service of Sears is a complete scam. This shouldn't be legal. The business model is to quote such an exorbitant fee for repair, often greater than the cost of a brand new appliance, that they just collect the "diagnostic fee" and then move on. A part was replaced in my washing machine in January. It's not working again. Two appointments have been rescheduled by Sears. It was recommended to sign up for an appliance warranty and since January I've spent about $700. I should have just bought a new washing machine. I can't get a hold of anyone....only AI. I am filing this complaint due to Sears' failure to honor my Home Protection Agreement. For over three months, my refrigerator has made a loud continuous noise, and despite 10+ service appointments, Sears has not fixed the issue, escalated it, or offered a replacement. Sears changed my address without permission, removed the directional indicator ("South"), and has refused to correct it despite months of calls. As a result, technicians and parts repeatedly go to the wrong location. Every representative claims they "cannot update the system," causing constant delays. Technicians have repeatedly ordered parts that never arrive, arrive damaged, or are incorrect. One technician refused to order the needed part because it was "five minutes past 6 p.m." and told us to schedule another appointment just to place the order. On multiple occasions, technicians arrived, sat in their vans without contacting us, then left--marking the visit as attempted service. Sears has promised several times that a manager would attend the next visit. I have called every morning to confirm, yet Sears claims dispatch "cannot be reached," and no manager has ever shown up. After months of failed attempts, the refrigerator remains unrepaired. Most recently, Sears again ordered a part but said it must be shipped to the wrong address because they still cannot update their system. This reflects a complete lack of organization and customer care. At this point, Sears has failed to diagnose, repair, or escalate the issue and has not honored the replacement clause. I am requesting an immediate replacement refrigerator. I have submitted a complaint with the Colorado Attorney General and will be filing with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau as well. This pattern of delays, misinformation, and failed service raises serious concerns about Sears' business practices and their treatment of customers with active protection plans. read more

"The Thieves of Time" (AKA SEARS REPAIR SERVICE) For the THIRD time in four weeks, Sears Repair Service has stolen my day from me. Their service window is eight hours long, which means I MUST stay home all day waiting for them to arrive. Today at 12:30pm, I once again received a text telling me my service would need to be rescheduled due to "unforeseeable circumstances." The automated text informed me I had four opportunities to choose from to reschedule, or in other words, for them to steal another day from me - and of course the next available time is not for another two weeks. If you are considering purchasing a Sears Service contract, be prepared to have your time stolen and NOT refunded. read more

Unfortunately, our appointments were cancelled by our 3rd party service company 4 times in a row. Each cancellation happened last minute on the same day service was to be provided. It took 2 months to finally receive service. There is an over abundance of automated communication via text and email in the form of daily reminders leading up to our scheduled appointment. The cadence was excessive. There is an AI chat bot that reaches out every time an appointment is scheduled. This is fine, except for the fact that the system does not remember the issues we were experiencing. I had to describe the issues every time we rescheduled and answer the same follow up questions, despite the fact our chat history was still present in our text thread. Automated text messages informed us we would receive a phone call to let us know when the technician would arrive within the 8 hour block of time reserved for our appointment(!). We never received a phone call. The only way to find up-to-date information on our appointment was to visit a third party website via a link that was buried in the communications we received. Our technician was friendly but not familiar with the model of our range, despite being the only authorized repair company in our zip code. Sears offered $160 in reimbursement for the 2 month delay in getting a technician to our home. It's been over a month and I have yet to receive any payments. After making 2 appointments for a repairman to come out and repair my refrigerator, and having no one show up or call either time, my refrigerator died. When I called again, they said it would be 2-3 weeks before they could come out. This was in June when the weather was in the high 90s. We couldn't wait that long, so after a few days, we got a new refrigerator. Now, they are saying that since we didn't have their repairman work on it, they won't honor the protection agreement that we paid for with them. Shoddy business, with very little concern for the customer after they have your money!! Last year my dryer was out of service for 5 months and my Bosch dishwasher was out of service for 10.5 months!! The AI experience was a total failure & I vowed I wouldn't renew my warranty this year. He was on time for my Annual checkup on 5 appliances & he was very professional & skilled & efficiently recertified all 5 appliances. Very good results with service and technician. Tried to buy replacement filters from Searspartsdirect with no luck. The system would not accept any of my 3 credit cards. Filters were backlogged for 2 weeks. What gives? The AI system was a piece of garbage so please provide a phone number without that AI stuff. read more

They cancelled on us FIVE TIMES the day of service with no explanation, simply "due to unforeseen circumstances." This was all done via an AI bot, with no phone number, no contact email to reach out to a human being. Each reschedule was two weeks to a month later. I have a GE washer that needs repaired. Tech's do not have parts on hand to repair in a timely manner parts have to be ordered. I have had 2 appointments that have both been cancelled by by Sears. Now they want me to wait another week to 2 weeks to have someone come out to fix this washer. SO over a month with out my washer. I have missed 3 days of work now because of Sears. Ice maker repair. They scheduled for July 4th between 8am and noon. I waited til noon--nothing. ( And I cancelled a late morning event I was going to attend) All I kept getting when I tried to reach them was chat bots. Finally spoke to a human- she said the repairman would call within the hour and that I was indeed on the schedule. Finallly, after 1pm, I get a message that due to "unforseen circumstances" my repair could not be completed that day. The next available date they gave me was a week out. Unbelievable!! They wasted my day and you still can't talk to anyone. This is not how you run a business!!! read more

I would encourage anyone considering getting a home warranty with Sears to run fast the other way. We got one for an aging refrigerator bc we were told it would be cheaper. We were charged for 3 months with multiple appointment cancellations, ridiculous 8 hour window times (never showed), confusing customer service messages between humans and contradicting AI messages, and when we got tired of the run around we cancelled. Sears told us there was a fee for early cancellation. Every single interaction we had was infuriating. This is a scam product and you should take your money elsewhere. read more

It took three months for my dishwasher to be repaired. The first technician said it was a lost cause, and I would get a new one. After that I had a series of FIVE appointments that were automatically cancelled and rescheduled. I got through to some sympathetic (but frustrated) people at Customer Service and finally started getting texts and reminders. A technician came and fixed it, and did a very good professional job. This is the WORST customer service we have ever experienced with a company. We have had two separate appointments cancelled each by a bot. There is a whole bunch of random phone numbers and you can't get a single human person to talk to anyone. The window they give for a service appointment is 8-5 and we had to take two days off of work only to be cancelled day of. I'm not sure the headache is worth the price. read more

worst repair service, I would never recommend this company. Johnny spliced a new wire that was the wrong size and voltage on to the heating wire of our dryer , 16 days after he did this hillbilly repair work the heat in the dryer went out again. I called GE back and they sent a different repair company that I could actually call and speak to a human being not sears AI robot. The other repair man replaced the wire with the correct wire kit from GE and the wire sears hillbilly rigged it with was melted at the one end because it was the improper voltage of the wire and we were lucky the dryer didn't catch fire! I don't recommend this repa service for anything, PERIOD!!!! read more
