Our air conditioning unit had…read morebroken down, and we also wanted to replace our gas-forced air furnace due to climate change concerns and its age. During our competitive bidding process, we were impressed by Maize Mechanical's competitive pricing and the owner, Mr. Martinez's, extensive knowledge about heat pumps, especially for our 4000 square foot home. We opted for a side discharge heat pump because of the limited space for the outdoor unit. Unfortunately, the unit was defective, and the manufacturer refused to replace it under warranty. Instead of going to court, Maize Mechanical, at their own expense, replaced the heat pump with a new unit from a more reputable company. Now, we enjoy reliable heating and cooling with a reduced environmental impact. Maize Mechanical also values customer service after the sale. They worked with us on the equipment's operation and promptly answered our questions. Our purchase included a five-year commitment to maintain the equipment through no-cost annual checkups.

It ran for.2.5 days and everything stopped. Called the next.morning and he came out. It had working again and nothing acted like anything was wrong. That same evening it quit again. We were.cold despite using oven and space heaters I did not get much sleep. I went over and over the furnace unable to determine way it would not start. I got the info on the blower and looked it up. Found it was actually 150 dollars. Then thinking the furnace seems fine, no errors on the led I pulled the thermostat and checked for power. That was perfect. So I put a jumper direct and the furnace started and ran. Cycled it 4 times without incident. Tested resistance on the thermostat itself and.found was malfunctioning. Let it run for three days without a problem. I called the company and the woman basically provided an oh well. So it's pretty unlikely I Will be using them.

We have had problems with our furnace dating back more than a year. It has been limping along even…read morethough we had spent quite a bit of money last year to get it fixed by another HVAC company which shall remain nameless because I have NOTHING good to say about them. On the Friday before Christmas our furnace finally gave up the ghost and we had to call someone out before it got too much later since it was already 4PM on a Friday afternoon. From seeing their ads on TV, we decided to call Unique. I called and talked with Adam and he was very courteous and polite and said he would see what he could do and would call back right away. When he called back, they had a tech in Westminster finishing up soon and he would be right over. In just about an hour, Adrian showed up and went right to work trying to figure out the problem with the furnace. After awhile he came up to tell us the news, which wasn't good, but we already were prepared for that. He went over the options that we had, what it would take to get the old furnace possibly running again, but with no guarantee that it would be fixed without need additional work because of what the previous HVAC company did. At that point we decided that instead of throwing good money after bad, we would bite the bullet and just get a new furnace. So, while he was writing up the order we asked when they would be able to get someone to come out. We were expecting that it would be a few days and that we would have to deal with a freezing cold house, but to our (pleasant) surprise he said that they would be back out first thing in the morning after they pick up the new unit. Awesome, just one night to have to deal with a cold house and space heaters. Just before 10 AM the next morning the guys showed up with our new furnace. Both of them were super nice and very professional (I really wish I had gotten their names to mention them personally in this review as they were awesome). They got right to work and in less than 2 hours we had a brand new furnace up and running and the old one already hauled out of the basement. Finally a reliable source of heat after fighting with the old furnace. I can't say enough good things about all the guys at Unique, from the initial contact, to the tech, to the crew that did the install. They were fantastic and this is the very first time we have had an HVAC company come to our home and we didn't feel like we were ripped off. I would highly recommend them to anyone having issues with their furnace or their a/c unit. Thank you so much and we know we will call Unique if we have any HVAC needs at all.

He was knowledgeable and explained his offering well. And the result was a really great furnace. We've had just one issue with it and that was likely the arctic snap. Having to have two hvac systems in this house is part of that problem. Last year, our upstairs furnace went out. The reason for four stars is that the repair guy they sent three times was pretty useless. He wanted to fix it, but couldn't. We believe he did want to save us money, so his heart was in the right place. I finally asked for someone else who showed us that the whole unit had flooded and was unrepairable. The salesman was also inexperienced so we asked for Matt and he came to the rescue with a deal they were offering. He also once again had the knowledge to recommend the right solution at the best price and with financing. So my main recommendation to them is to train people better. But we are happy with them overall and trust Matt.
