    Fresh oyster
    Martina O.

Went to this location based on local suggestion and we weren't disappointed. Friday night arrived around 6, just before the rush hours, perfect! Ordered fresh oyster as appetizers, according our server its from Louisiana and they are hugeeee! Its tastes great and fresh! We pick our own combo with crab legs, calamari and shrimp with broccoli as add on, it also came with potatoes and corn cobs. Alex was our server, she is friendly and has the right suggestions. They also have decent dessert selection that we didn't take, ample drink menu to select, food portion is perfect and both have food coma afterwards! Hmm we missed the Thursday karaoke night, we might be back !

This rating is more because of the food and bc of the waitress we had. With that being said, we didn't have the best experience granted we had a party of about 20 so that had something to do with it but not making excuses for it. Just so you're aware, there's a $30 fee to use the back room for a large party. Ok so it was pretty empty when our scheduled reservation was for (4:30). Idk if it's because they were short staffed or what but the wait took a while and then it took a while for us to be waited on. Nothing against Allie though, she was great, but I'm sure she had other tables to work on which was a problem. About 6 of us ordered drinks and those took forever and then after that it also took forever for us to order food. Once we finally got the food, everything was delicious. Most people got theirs at the same time but there were a few who's came maybe 15-20min later. I had a dozen oysters steamed in the seafood dock seasoning and also lobster bisque. I'd be back for both! I also had a peach margarita and considering it was during happy hour, it was pretty strong. All in all not the worst experience but also not the best.

Attempted to get a good seafood meal while visiting the Ville this weekend. Seafood Dock was recommended and Yelp reviews were favorable. The oyster platter photo cinched the deal. What started out as promising did not end well. Following were my pros and cons: Pros - *Prompt seating and server taking drink orders *Delicious oysters that looked like picture - combo Cajun and garlic butter seasoning was perfect *Good drink selections - Whiskey Ginger Smash was very tasty. My daughter enjoyed her Lychee Mojitos *Attentive service by 2nd server and did not feel rushed even after 11 pm close *Large screen television which worker graciously changed to allow viewing of Gator basketball dominate Bama Cons *First server went ghost when ready to order - later told that she got preoccupied with a large party. Had to flag down another worker to get second server. *Food ingested made me and my adult children sick. Cannot pinpoint if it was the preparation of food or the food itself. I ordered the snow crab legs and green mussels with the combination of Cajun and butter garlic sauce (again) and added broccoli to potatoes and corn that came with order. My daughter had the same sauce combo with snow crabs and crawfish with addition of broccoli and eggs. She also added a spicy Seafood Dock sauce to her meal, and we both added generously to our meals. All items were tasty as were our drinks. Leftovers were bagged and shared upon arrival at our destination. I had an upset stomach later that night and my children were similarly impacted with the adverse effects. It was not a highlight of this return to G'ville and the $130 plus generous tip was not warranted. Will avoid during future visits planned which is sad since the ambiance would have been nice for future game viewing.

The decor is magnificent and service immaculate. I tried the oysters, steamed, w/garlic butter, spicy. Omg, I feel in love. Steamed well and lots of butter garlic seasoning and there were plenty of garlic slices to let you know..there is garlic. Not to spicy, hit the palate just right. Then the encore meal, shrimp, crawfish, potatoes, corn, sausage, and an egg. After the amazing experience I had with the oysters, the main meal left me flat, deflated, and gravely disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, but it surely was not good. There was plenty of butter oil, I stayed with the garlic butter seasoning with this on as well. Back to the butter oil, it was just that, didn't taste buttery at all, just oily, but there were plenty of garlic slices, but not even that could salvage this miss. Nothing was seasoned, well cooked, but bland, boring, and uneventful. I don't eat pork sausage, but I did try two, they were the best part in terms of seasoned foods. The sausage were a bit soft, no crunch to the skin; just a sausage. The corn was definitely frozen, soft, sweet, no crunch that you would get with fresh corn. And then leaves the shrimp and crawfish. You get a healthy portion, shrimp are a nice size, no teeny tiny shrimp here, and the crawfish were a healthy size for crawfish. The butter oil soaked into both, but they were still bland. So, give it try, and if you need to, bring your own Lawrey's or save the calories and just get a fried basket of something.

I would definitely recommend this place. It's clean, good food and excellent customer service. I had the 1/2 lbs. snow crabs and 1/2 lbs of blue crabs. It came with potatoes and corn. Every tasty if you are looking for seafood. Nothing was standout about it because it's still a chain seafood dock, juicy crab, Cajun crab company.... They are all the same. But over all it was a good choice. Price was reasonable and the atmosphere was open and well spaced out.

Visited on a Sunday and was seated immediately. Service was great! We went for seafood, obviously, and was very pleased. Largest crawfish I ever seen, in addition to the gigantic oysters. I understand it may be a little commercialized but the quality was great in our opinion. Def recommended and would return.

I had a blue crab and shrimp boil with sausage, potato and corn on the cobb.

Today we had a " Deep Dish Ziti" that has meatballs, Italian sausage, pepperoni, marinara, creamy alfredo, Italian herbs, lot's of creamy mozzarella & Parmesan cheese and fresh basil with a garlic knot on the side! So good and it just hits the spot. This may not be an Italian restaurant but honestly this dish was really wonderful and it tasted authentic and like the Italian food I always had from home. A fabulous combination of meats, cheeses, sauces & herbs everything just came together so nicely I would order it again! We also had the "New Orleans Jambalaya" this dish consists of blackened chickened breast, sautéed shrimp, chicken andouille-sausage, bell peppers, tomatoes, onions, a Cajun spiced broth over rice pilaf! The flavors here are done really well! It tasted nice and everything was cooked terrific. We decided to share some dessert so we ordered a "Salted Caramel Pizookie" which is a warm caramel cookie with sweet almond toffee, crunchy pretzel bites, white + Ghirardelli dark chocolate chips, topped with vanilla bean ice cream and caramel sauce! Absolutely heavenly! They have about 12 different Pizookie flavors and options including a Gluten-free option, a Dubai flavor, strawberry shortcake, monster and more! Everyone will love this place, bring the kids or don't. Whatever you decide to do this is a place that has it all. Gluten-free options, a kids menu, pasta, burgers, pizza, steak and slow roasted meals, entree salads, soups and more! Do not hesitate this place is worth stopping at and having a meal. I ordered a ribeye steak, which was cooked as requested, but the sweet potato fries I'd ordered were not delivered. After a wait this and a couple of other small things was mentioned to our server, and about the time everyone else was finished eating, a small plate with regular fries was finally brought to the table. One member of our party ordered a Tri- Tip steak cooked medium rare, it came out to her practically raw. After a long wait, this was pointed out to our server who took it back to the kitchen. After a while, it was returned exactly as it had been... still nearly raw, but with some fresh sauce poured over it. Since everyone else had finished their meals by this time, I requested the meal be comped, which our server did. All in all not the enjoyable evening we'd looked forward to, unfortunately. A couple of points: all the misdelivered and undelivered items could have been avoided if the runners were aware of what had been ordered before taking it the the table. The steak issue is on the grill chef who messed it up the first time and then tried to get slick the second time - as if fresh sauce would solve the problem. The entire meal came to around $169 -after the comped uneaten steak. On the upside, the burgers and ribs were said to be tasty, and the various sides as well. Our server handled things well, so props to him... and a decent tip despite everything. I may be back for a burger and beer.

There is a long bar, sitting area with fire place and an outside area as well. Chris Hart, the owner and brewer is doing something very right here. The beer selection is diverse. I think I counted 19 beers on tap, plus a host of guest taps including cider and wine. They do Belgians right here, but there were also sours, gose, pilsner, IPAs, porter, brown ale, and some European favorites like a winter warmer, hefeweizen and Marzen. The BEER: Wicked Child Belgian Strong Ale 14% ABV... sips like it is under 10%, smooth and delicious, just very slightly boozy. This is the strongest beer in Gainesville The Snow Gose 4 5% ABV... everything you would expect, sour and salty goodness Pucker Round fruited Gise 5.5% ABV... holy wow, a little tonic, and a lot of pucker. Good. Key lime and passion fruit Lord of Flashheart Belgian blonde 6.5% ABV... yes this is a grand blonde, well balanced and easy drinking Queenie Belgian amber 6% ABV... Staff interactions felt dismissive, and when concerns were raised, they were not handled with professionalism or care. Most disappointing was the absence of meaningful engagement or resolution from management. Mistakes happen, but how a business responds matters. In this case, communication, attitude, and follow-through all fell short. I hope leadership reviews this feedback and takes steps to improve staff training and customer engagement, as these changes could significantly improve the guest experience. Below is the formal complaint that was emailed and submitted, however, there has been no response: Good morning, I am submitting a formal complaint regarding a private event held at Splitz Bowling - Gainesville, FL on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The reservation was under the name Josie Jackson, and we paid $435.38 for a private section with four lanes for two hours. Lanes 27 and 28 experienced continuous technical issues throughout the reservation period. While I understand that having more than six participants per lane can sometimes contribute to delays, lanes 27 and 28 did not exceed six players during the first hour and were the first to malfunction, confirming the issues were not related to lane capacity or guest usage. During the final hour of play, lanes 29 and 30 also began experiencing issues, further reducing usable play time across all four lanes. Additionally, our dedicated server was present for less than an hour and did not return, and multiple staff members were disengaged despite a busy venue. Management arrived 30-45 minutes later and offered minimal remediation (initially 15 minutes, then 30 minutes across all lanes), which did not resolve the technical issues. No meaningful follow-up occurred despite assurances. On-site security staff were inattentive. Given the cost and repeated service failures, I respectfully request: A corporate review of this incident Appropriate compensation or refund Corrective actions to prevent similar issues for future guests I would appreciate a written response. Please let me know if you need additional documentation. Shantell Hadley, MBA shantella.hadley@gmail.com
