Very happy to have found a place nearby with such amazing vegan eats. Getting into the...meat of the review I will say that overall the experience was good and the food was amazing. The beet burger and fries are pretty much what you expect, no more or less and hits that sandwich craving. The loaded nachos are fairly hefty, and as a flexitarian the jackfruit they add does an above-average job of imitating shredded pork or chicken. As you can see by the attached picture, the heavy guac is much appreciated. The star of the show for us, though, had to be the pesto dish. Perfect al dente penne with a savory additions to an already solid pesto. Highly recommended. Given the location and ingredients, the prices are obviously going to be a bit higher than nearby alternatives, though nothing unexpected. And lastly, the service was...alright. There was a middle-aged gentleman who may have been the owner who walked around and was quite kind to everyone dining. However, there were a few staff when checking-in who kept giving us a bit of a cold-shoulder and standoffish at first. Now granted, we had a special request of dining on the patio with our dog present, but the request seemed to be a disproportionate annoyance. Went last night to celebrate our anniversary. We had never been so parking was a little chaotic . Once we parked however, the restaurant was super cute . It is small inside but the service was great. Probably one of the BEST vegan restaurants ive ever been to. We came on a busy Sunday morning at 1pm and it was packed with an hour wait. After we killed time at nearby stores we came back and got seated right away indoors. This place is busy and quaint. We were all so hangry we ordered a bunch of food. Purple Potato Taquitos: A crowd favorite and I can see why. I typically love purple tacos/taquitos and it was so yummy and the potatoes mashed inside were smooth with the crispy outer shell. The color is so pretty and unique its a dish that taste exactly how it looks, amazing! Burnt Brussel Sprouts: We killed this dish! Flavorful, not salty, not burnt but super crispy in a really good way. Doesnt need any sauce or anything so good on its own dish. Natural Cut Fries: Perfectly seasoned thin fries that came with two dipping sauces. Not too thin and not overly fried. Beer Battered Avocado Tacos: I personally didn't try this but I heard the fried batter was good but the coleslaw was just okay. Still good though if you really like avocado. Butternut Enchiladas: Really good enchiladas that actually has a kick to it. The spinach and mushroom inside is yummy and the sauce pairs so well. Pesto Rigatoni: A simple pasta dish despite it being pesto and having alot of garnishes, it did taste and feel like a hearty healthy pasta. I mistakenly thought this came with tempeh sausage and not tempeh crumbles so I was looking for some protein. It was good but just okay and could be more flavorful. Chilaquiles Rojas: A super large and shareable dish. Crunchy and crispy chips paired with lots of different toppings. This was really good and I would get this again. Overall, this place knows how to make amazing vegan food taste so good. Even if you're not vegan, there is definitely something you would like here. I tried the deep fried avocado tacos and the macaroni and cheese. The tacos were delicious and a generous portion size. I went recently for the first time in a good while, and I brought my non-vegan partner, which had never dined here previously. For myself, I ordered the BBQ Burger. I was a bit nervous because I had the Beets Me Burger a few years ago and did not enjoy it at all (the almond butter gave it a somewhat chocolatey flavor that was off-putting to me) but I really wanted a burger, and decided to have faith. The BBQ Burger was delicious!! Great flavor, great ingredients, very good experience. My partner first ordered the Beer-Battered Avocado Taco and the Mushroom Taco. Personally I love both, he thought the mushroom taco was alright, but really enjoyed the avocado taco. Next he had the Mac n' Cheese. We both agreed that it was a bit watery and lacking in flavor. Finally, the Pesto Rigatoni. So delicious! Amazing flavor, I ended up taking many bites off of his plate. I only wish there was a bit more sauce, as I prefer saucy pastas, but the flavor was so good it really didn't affect the experience for either of us. To end it all off, we had the Chaffle, which I have no picture for since it was immediately devoured. A Seabirds classic dessert, always immensely delicious, and we both loved it! Too good. Came here for my sister's birthday, was so easy to reserve and it was so nice to sit outside. We only eat vegan certain times of the year for religious reasons, so as meat lovers, we were so impressed. I especially loved the jackfruit nachos, probably better than most nachos I've tried in my life. In terms of bread, so boring so plain. The nachos had great toppings for a few bites, then it was literally endless dry chips. Also, not enough salsa or sauce. My daughter ordered the Bibimbap Bowl which has fried kimchi in it and she absolutely loved it. My other daughter got the Breakfast Burrito and she thought everything in it was delicious.
