Soup and Side Salad: chicken & vegetable soup for the soul, The BEST Arugula Salad add jammy egg
Amanda N.

Tasty, healthy feeling, and satisfying. I had this delivered for dinner tonight and was happy with both things. I liked the duo option with both a little soup and salad. The chicken in my soup was mostly good- there were more chicken grodies in it than I expected, but was plenty of other chicken to make up for it, so overall not terrible. The salad was fresh and delicious, had a variety of textures with the butter lettuce and watermelon radish- I liked the little crunchies they put in there for on top. An added jammy egg was a good call. Together, the soup and salad went well together. Looking forward to trying other things on their menu.

Classic Spaghetti with Tomato and Basil

Been wanting to try this place for the longest time and so glad I did. I ordered take out and so impressed by the variety of gluten free and vegan options. It was pretty pretty quickly and arrived super fresh. Got the pesto pasta and the classic spaghetti (both gluten free and vegan) and I'll just say this; was the BEST pesto I've ever had. So creamy and flavorful I could've had a whole second one. The quantity/portion size was also pretty good considering. I cannot wait to come back and get again or try a different dish. Definitely give this place a shot if you've never been!

Hair in dressing

Ordered from here on UberEats. I spent $40 on a salad 2 spring rolls (that's without any of Ubers fees). For that price I'm expecting high quality food. Instead I got spring rolls that were torn and dry (probably old), and my salad lettuce was wilted and there was a hair in my dressing. Yeah, safe to say I won't order from here again.

Affordable quality food. It was lunchtime and I wanted to try something new but healthy. My Bestie told me about the chicken wrap she had from this place the other day so I decided to give it a try as well as try a few other things that were on their menu. I ordered online and online ordering was very easy, but picking up my food was a little bit tricky. I'm not from around here and there's something called Costa Mesa kitchens where it's almost like a food hall and I was expecting there to be a sign that said goop kitchen, but instead there was just a counter in the front where your food was then held for you so apparently goop kitchen doesn't have a store presence, but they work with kitchens to make their food which is a very new and interesting concept for me. So after I figured out where to go, which was right in the front then I took my food home and I enjoyed every bit of it. The miso salmon was cooked to perfection. Although I did wish the salmon piece was larger. It looked like it was maybe Like three or 4 ounces but it did come with a lot of different sides. The salmon hand rolls were my favorite, so light and crispy and delicious. Japanese sweet potato soup was hearty but flavorful and they served it with roasted brussels sprout leaves that you can put on top which was really good. Then I had the chicken Caesar wrap that was surprisingly filled with falafel crumbles instead of croutons and there is a really nice sauce that went along with that. The total for everything came out to be about $60 for two people which isn't bad considering the quality of food that we were getting so I'll definitely be back for the salmon hand rolls and to try a few other things on their menu.

Japanese sweet potatoes, shroom shroom pizza

I have ordered twice from Goop. First time I ordered the turmeric broth, the Japanese sweet potatoes and side of chicken. The portion of chicken was on the small side for $7 but still good. I added to the broth and it was really good. The sweet potatoes with the cashew dressing was 10/10! It was so good I ordered again the next day. I got the sweet potatoes again and also tried the shroom shroom pizza and the roasted butternut squash, with a side of ranch and Calabrian caesar. It was all delicious!! There was an issue with my order so I sent an email to their team and they both called and replied to my email within 5 minutes! Top notch customer service, they really went above and beyond to 1. Listen to my issue, and 2. Provide a resolution that exceeded my expectations. Would order again not just for the delicious food but also for the excellent customer service.

Uncooked rice every time!

HIT OR MISS, BUT WORTH TRYING... worth the risk! LOL When it's good, it's really good, the flavors can be delicious and fresh! When it's not, it can definitely miss the mark. The bright side is that the staff always makes an effort to communicate with the kitchen and try to fix issues, which I appreciate. The Costa Mesa location feels a bit like a fast-food setup (similar to a Taco Bell model), more warming and assembling than hands-on cooking, but the ingredients themselves do taste fresh, which I love. The Manhattan location has an open kitchen you can see, but the process feels about the same. No real chef. Just assembly workers. Here are a couple of things to keep in mind: 1. There isn't much connection with the kitchen at all, and sometimes communication can be tricky when explaining problems like burnt pizza or hard rice. Call hours to the Philippines. Hi Melo and James! 2. The food presentation is beautiful, and I do have to give them credit , the eggs are cooked perfectly every time! Salads are decent. They may still be using seed oil tho. Plant based dressing usually are. NO real dairy dressings there. Personally, I've had mixed experiences with the wraps and pizza. 3 times it was burnt!!! On the other hand, their turkey meatballs are a consistent winner -- those are 5-star every time. I recommend ordering a few of those and skipping the stress! Lastly, even though customer service is handled overseas, they've always been professional, responsive, and genuinely tried to make things right.

The food is fresh, clean and delicious. I ordered on the app and it was really convenient for pick up. They texted me as soon as it was ready. Pretty awesome and quick.

Absolutely delicious. When I think of healthy whole-foods. This is exactly what it should be. Whoever curates the menu & recipes did a fantastic job. Everything we had was so fresh, perfectly seasoned & executed, flavorful, and just downright delicious. Every single bite was so satisfying.

Penne No Vodka ( Gluten free pasta and pink sauce with hint of spice)

I ordered off of instacart, goop superfina by goop kitchen and I wanted Italian gluten free. This was by far the most delicious food I've had lately! They did the pasta al dente and it had such a delicious sauce. Everything was detailed on when ordering on the instacart site and they use all clean, fresh and gluten-free, dairy free, nut free for some orders just read it. The turkey meatballs were delicious as well and in a red sauce with some type of cheese. I did get the ceasar salad not pictured but they had two types of dressing to choose from and I must say the recommend one was delicious and lemony! I definitely recommend this as a delivered food option for anyone who is interested in clean eating.

Spring roll salad

I picked up dinner here because I've been wanting to try the famous Potts pizza. The pizza was $25 and came with 9 square slices. The crust was perfectly crispy. The pizza wasn't super greasy but it was lacking pizza sauce. We also ordered the spring roll salad. I was excited when I found the container large enough to shake in my dressing. The salad was made with very fresh ingredients. The mint definitely overpowered all of the other ingredients and it was lacking protein. The cashew vinaigrette was a nice compliment to all of the ingredients. It was creamy and delicious. I would definitely try something else if I ordered from here again.

Service was just as impressive. Mia, our server, was cordial, attentive, and made us feel well taken care of throughout the meal. The hostess was also welcoming and set the tone right from the start. He then claimed that it was my father's responsibility to contact InKind about this issue and that it was our problem??? No accountability at all from the manager. Grow up. The food is pretty good. Our waitress was also great. But there are major issues besides that.

"Where the Parking is a Villain and the Nachos are the Hero"…read moreLet me paint you a picture. Newport Blvd. A line snaking out the door. You're squinting at it, already calculating if brunch is worth it. It is. Park somewhere, anywhere -- I don't care if you have to parallel park on a prayer -- because Salty Horse is one of those places that earns every inconvenient minute of your morning. The vibe alone is worth the drive: coastal charm collides with Western soul in a way that feels totally intentional and not at all try-hard. Think sun-bleached ranch meets beachside diner, with a menu to match. And yes, there will likely be a line. But here's the thing -- it moves, you will get a table, and by the time you sit down, you've already earned your meal through the ancient ritual of standing outside wanting it. Now. The Mesa Nachos. I don't use the word "huge" lightly, but these nachos arrived looking like a geological event. A mountain range of chips, toppings stacked with actual intention, the kind of nachos that make you immediately text someone "you need to come here." Shared between two people, it's a full meal. Attempted solo, it's a personal challenge. Either way ~ winner. The Hawaiian Cowboy sandwich lives up to every chaotic, beautiful promise its name implies. Sweet, savory, a little wild -- exactly what you want from something called the Hawaiian Cowboy. The pancakes were fluffy, gorgeous, and made me briefly reconsider my life choices (in a good way). And the Hibiscus Rose ( a caffeine-free option from their functional latte lineup) was floral, refreshing, and the kind of drink that makes you feel like you're doing something right. Salty Horse, the parking situation needs a word with management. Everything else? Absolutely no notes.

For drinks, we started with Fresh Pressed Blueberry Mint Lemonade($6). It was refreshing and not too sweet. Before heading out we grabbed a Berries and Cream Matcha ,less sweet ($8.50) and a seasonal Banana Bandit Matcha. Both had great taste and were delicious. The outdoor seating area is a lovely spot for small groups. If you're looking for tasty food without the seed oils, Salty Horse is the place to go! I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu! One thing to mention is their parking is street parking but there was plenty of spaces to park .

From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with real smiles, real gratitude, and a level of care that's honestly rare these days. You can tell they take pride not just in their food, but in every single customer experience. Now here's what really sealed the deal for me. Not too long ago, I placed a to-go order for their half chicken with sides, but when I got home, it turned out to be one of their chicken wraps instead. And to be completely honest -- not even mad. Everything on their menu is so good that it was more of a surprise than a disappointment. Next time I came in, I casually mentioned it to Fred (the owner) while placing my order -- no complaints, no frustration, just a quick heads up. He immediately apologized, which honestly wasn't even necessary. Stuff happens, and when the food is that consistently good, it's hard to care. But here's the part that really speaks volumes: when I went to pay, Fred wouldn't let me. Insisted the meal was on the house. No hesitation. No questions. Just genuine ownership and appreciation. That kind of integrity and customer care is hard to come by. At the end of the day, this is a 5-star establishment with 10-star people behind it. The food is consistently incredible, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the experience is one you'll want to come back to again and again. Spicy miso ramen: 9/10 Actually one of the better ramens I've had lately. The broth is creamier and isn't overpowering with chicken/beef flavor. The chashu was nice and tender as well. I really liked that their noodles were al dente and not too soft Deluxe mazemen: 8/10 Taking my first bite, I was instantly greeted with an explosion of umami. There's a LOT of flavor packed in this bowl and the noodles used are actually a bit thicker which is right up my alley. As for the Mazemen, we ordered the Deluxe and Veggie one, both is a 5/5. Very flavorful and it tastes just like ramen, but without the soup. The presentation of the dish looks like a work of art.
