Picking up swag for our next Yelp Elite Experience!!
    Vilma R.

I came here to pick up a flat of beer for a Yelp Elite Experience I was planning. I had been in contact with Zach who gave me all the details. When I arrived to SeaChange it's in a bit of an industrial area. They parking situation is a bit scarce so I had to look for parking for a bit but once I found some it was ok. Their patio is really great looking! I'd love to sit out there on a hot summer evening with an ice cold brew. They have nice string lights for ambiance and picnic tables. They serve food here as well as their beer on tap and in cans. The prices here were excellent for their beer (I did not try any food this go round). The staff are super friendly and helpful. Inside the taproom, there are about 10 tables or so, not very big but big enough that it feels spacious and cozy all at the same time. With indoor dining recently reopening here in Alberta, everyone dining in looked really happy and like they were having a good time. I picked up my flat of beer and paid for it and carried it to my car. I would definitely return to try some more varieties of their beer and grab a snack too.

Required to show our badges of honour to get in Lots of spaced out seating Friendly, chill staff Ordered the Sea Guppy flight to share (dealers choice) Pretzels with honey mustard (I could drink that mustard!) The McDaddy & BBQ Pork sandwiches. We went half & half so we could taste both. I can't tell you which is better... both amazing. We'll be back to try to other sandwiches for sure.

Back in town for the holidays meant trying a few new spots. The craft beer scene is slowly growing; Sea Change Brewing was on my list of places to try. It's located beside a pet grooming shop. We dropped in on a Sunday afternoon (around 5:00pm). It wasn't too busy so we were able to snag a picnic table for our group of 5. The inside is modern and nicely decorated. Service was friendly and they checked on us several times to see if we needed more drinks. There were 7 beer options on tap. I was surprised to see they had banh mi options (supplied by Pho & Bun) to go with the usual snack options. - Drift chips ($6.00) - potato crisps by Drift Food Truck with aji sauce. They brought out a complimentary bowl to start. Not salty and good with the beers so S ordered one for the table. - Flight ($10.00 for 4) - everyone got flights (option of 4 or 6 samples). I went with the Irish amber ale, the wolf, prairie fairy and session ale. The prairie fairy sounded tasty (blackberry, raspberry, tart and dry) but it seriously lacked in any flavour. The Irish amber ale was probably my favourite but the beers overall lacked character and depth. I wanted to like them but I guess I've become a beer snob or something. - The Wolf ($7.25 20oz) - N got a pint for himself along with sharing a flight. He felt the same way about their beers. I liked the chill vibes in Sea Change but you won't be blown away by their beers. Hope they can work on distinguishing their beers.

During this Covid 19 time, I tried ordering booze through Sea Change, cause who would have known that you can get alcohol delivered???? So awesome!! So when I found that Sea Change, a local brewery was offering delivery services I was SO excited and ofcourse I ordered! This is a great time to do what you can to support local businesses in Edmonton and this is one business we definitely wanted to support. I ordered 6 cans of their Irish Red Ale and the Shumka Blonde Ale. When it was delivered, the staff dropping it off was super friendly and the items were packaged securely. It took only about 30 minutes for this to be delivered from the time of my order, which in my books is pretty awesome! Now to the good stuff, both beers tasted DELICIOUS! Plus supporting a local business is a plus. Plus l, delivery was fast! So I encourage you to check them out! Sea change, local brewery that had great local beers amongst other selections. Support smaller local businesses during this time. :-)

I eat out daily. Busy spot, with rocking patio. The flight was great. The decor was eclectic with cute sayings. And washrooms were super clean.

Went here for a tour and tasting. Not only is this a local Edmonton owned business but they are killing it with the beer and food. Cosy tasting room, amazing Merch! The Tshirts and logos are incredible! Had the pork belly Bahn Mi, and it was simple and incredible. Amazing crunchy freshly toasted bun. Prices are great too, beers were $6-7, and sandwich was $10. Try the wolf, the blonde and The Prarie Fairy!

I love it here and I keep on coming back for more. There's not a bad beer on tap. I particularly love the Prairie Fairy and the Wolf. For me, I am spoiled because I live so close to this place, along with a handful of other great breweries. But for me, I could stay at Sea Change much longer than the other breweries because they serve food -- particularly these amazing Vietnamese sandwiches. When I go there, I get "Sea Changed" and then I can walk home. I feel good about that because the owners and the staff are amazing, kind, friendly, accommodating, and love to tell their story about their brewery. There's so much pride there and I will always keep on coming back for more. Thank you, Sea Change!

Excellent beer selection with amazing and friendly service from Mackenzie. Stay past 9pm to get $1 hot dogs on fridays and Saturdays. If you're there a different night, get the lemongrass chicken banh mi (Vietnamese sub)

I jumped on the chance because I love the pizzas here. They have a soft doughy crust. So we ventured here for lunch. It wasn't too full, and it took a while for someone to notice and get us seated. We actually debated leaving, however finally they seated us, it was all good. (Hence why it looses a star). Atmosphere is pretty typical for a craft brewery. I am not a huge sports bar fan, and I was pleased to see that TVs were not a focus here. Menu is good. Lots of different things to try, but they are well known for their pizzas. Great selection of beers. Also an okay selection of cocktails and wine. I am on medication, so I tried a "near beer" can that they offered and I was pleased with the flavour. I wish they would have a non alcoholic that is more local on tap. Hubby because of driving went with a coke. We decided on two pizzas - PB & J which contained roasted pineapple, smoked bacon, fresh jalapeño, mozzarella, brick blend and the Animal Style -Ezzo pepperoni, seasoned beef, bacon, pizza sauce, crushed chilis, Grana Padano. Both came out hot and fresh and tasty. I enjoyed my toppings better, however my husband's pizza sauce was absolutely perfect. Service (once we were seated) was pleasant. We received some chocolate dipped strawberries as a customer appreciation gift and that was lovely. My goal is to try all the pizzas. Give it a go if you like Detroit style pizzas.

The brewpub has certainly been seeing its time in the sun for several years now with the popularity…read moreof microbreweries reaching its peak. Edmonton is no different than anywhere else in the fact that our restaurantscape has been dotted with more and more local breweries - which is cool and all - but the part that has caught my attention is the elevation and refinement that has also evolved. Gone are the days when the average pub is slinging a beer in your general direction and calling it a day. Now there are chefs involved, complete dining programs, and entire concepts. It's more than just a boozy good time (but it's also still that). One of the standouts in this game is Campio Brewing Co., which first opened its doors in 2018 and have since expanded to a second location. In a previous life the original restaurant operated as Characters Fine Dining for twenty some years, which is why the space might feel familiar. (I remember dining at Characters in my 20s and believing that it was the height of luxury.) Voted Best Brewpub 2025 by EDify Magazine, Campio has positioned itself as a reliable standby when it comes to beers and eats Downtown, and they ain't slowing down anytime soon. I visited on a Monday evening, only half realizing that it was also an Oilers home game night. At only a seven minute walk away from Rogers Place, you can be sure that the place will be positively packed with jersey-wearing fans, the majority of which who are grabbing a bite before gametime. This was absolutely the case during my visit, and while it was crowded there's something about the buzz of a hockey night that feels pretty special. Peering through the sea of blue and orange in the main dining area, it was clear that tables were at a premium. I had no idea that there was additional seating downstairs but quickly learned as the hostess lead the way down the stairs. The basement appears to be the brewery itself, lined with fermentation tanks and wooden aging barrels. The picnic-style tables are communal. While it's not as nice as upstairs and certainly feels like an overflow area, it is kind of neat to be sitting where all of the brewery magic happens. (Think of when you try to go camping but the campground is already full, so they just stick you in a big empty field with the rest of the extras.) The main upstairs dining area is expansive, rich in wood, and feels historic. You'll find exposed brick and the same epic wooden pillars that exist in many of the old buildings downtown. But the best table in the entire restaurant? That would be the elevator shaft room - now converted into a small dining area. The elevator buttons are still on the wall! Our server was super personable and friendly, genuinely seeming like she was having a good time. Campio is obviously known for their 16 rotating craft beers on draft brewed right in the restaurant itself. They also sell their beer in cans (covered in beautiful artwork) which can be found in liquor stores everywhere, as well as offsale at the brewery itself. My husband is a big fan of their seasonal Once in Oaxaca (a prickly pear horchata sour). I, myself, am not much of a beer drinker so I was pleased to find a list of house cocktails to choose from - way more my jam. The Iced Edmonton Fog (Baileys, Cointreau, Amaretto, walnut bitters, earl grey tea - $14.50) sounded really delicious and fun. (They also make beer cocktails!) The flavour profile of this drink is right up my alley! The combination of almond, walnut and earl grey sounds cozy and delicious! However, I found that I wanted even more flavour from each sip. The beverage tasted quite watered down and could've been more full-bodied. It did remind me a lot of a paralyzer though, which I was not mad at. The main concept at Campio is to fuse Edmonton's blue-collar nature and artistic flair into one, serving up whimsy and quality with diverse offerings. I do think that this shows a clear understanding of the clientele in this city and it points toward Campio's success. The menu is fresh, playful, and approachable, offering the kind of food that people actually want to eat in a brewpub today. They've got Fried Pepperoni (With honey mustard - $9.00) on the snacks part of the menu and I'm not one to refuse! A Halifax stable, Edmonton and this Maritime city seem to have a lot in common when it comes to cuisine (RE: the donair). Sliced paper-thin, each ruby-hued round is crispy like a chip. You could easily toss about 20 of these into your mouth and barely notice. I liked the tangy honey mustard to dip into. This dish is like the best part of a pizza without all of the unnecessary rest of it. I'd happily start my meal with these every time! For the main event Campio offers two types of choices; you can opt for a handheld (I've had their Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich before and that tall stack is a good time!) or you can order a Detroit deep dish pizza (which I feel is kinda their "signature thing.") Detroit-style pizza really blew up arou
