I popped in here for a quick birthday get together and was pleasantly surprised at how quick the service was even for as slammed as it was. The Oilers were playing and the atmosphere was buzzing, so if you're around on game night and want a place to watch the game, I'd recommend here... get here early though so you can grab a seat as it fills up quick! I also have to say how AWESOME Sea Change has been in the Beaumont community! They didn't just come into town and take money. They have been so busy supporting community events and it's AWESOME!! Just for being so active in the community, I'd support them just for that... they really are rockstars!! Even though I am not a beer drinker (so you're probably wondering why I'd be in a brewery), I still love supporting local business. I also love the fact that there is a tonne of parking as well. Make sure that you order the chicharrines. It will quickly become your new addiction as they are delicious to snack on!!

As for food, the Beaumont location partnered with Huma, a Mexican restaurant in Edmonton, to create their menu.

We sat at the bar and were pleasantly greeted by two of the managers/owners who also sat at the bar. Our bartender Christina was prompt with our drinks and incredibly knowledgeable and great to interact with. We had 2 flights to try everything on the menu. Was nice to hear from the owners about how they came up with some of the beers. We ordered a pizza. The spicy pineapple one. Sadly I didn't have a chance to take a picture because we ate it so fast. It was great. Nice balance of flavour and not a massive crust (which I'm not a fan of). The place is really nice. Patio is big and you get a lovely view of a man made lake (what beats beer and a great view).

We ordered the baked pretzels and they were tasty. We saw some of the pizzas at other tables and they looked amazing. I can't wait to return to 70 Acre to try more beers and food!

For the berry ones they do them seasonally- they use Evans Cherries in their cherry vodka. Any fruit comes from the local area. And they do lots of local sourcing for their ingredients and collaborations. Double double is their version of Baileys- but better than Baileys! The last time we went they even had a carrot cake chai version and it was so delightful! Sugar beet brum (rum), traditionally made with sugar cane, they use a more local ingredient: Sugar Beets from Southern Alberta. A-freaking-mazing! Such a clear crisp taste, perfect on the rocks. Their wheat comes from across the road at a local farmers: Schneider's Farms. And a family fungi farm grows oyster mushrooms on their spent grain- very cool! They have been open since Oct 2017 officially. In over 700 liquor stores in Alberta. Over 30 products, from vodka, gin, and a line of whiskey. I loved the named areas or equipment - that was adorable and made it really unique! Jelly Bean brewery spot, to the mid still Schatzi. I will definitely be back for some Christmas gift shopping and to bring some friends to their tasting room and gift shop. Nisku isn't that far away! Their space is stunning! I love the outdoor entering area, even a Teepee used for ceremonies. They have a beautiful upstairs area you can rent. And fantastic open taproom dining and of course a great tour area. Our distillery tour was top notch! Amazing story teller, full of knowledge and experiences. It made it so much more than just a tour of the distillery and the processes. Would highly recommend a tour!

We were there during a hockey playoff game so it was a lot of fun. My only issue with this restaurant is the lack of parking space. This is one of the main reasons we don't eat here regularly. I jumped on the chance because I love the pizzas here. They have a soft doughy crust. So we ventured here for lunch. It wasn't too full, and it took a while for someone to notice and get us seated. We actually debated leaving, however finally they seated us, it was all good. (Hence why it looses a star). Atmosphere is pretty typical for a craft brewery. I am not a huge sports bar fan, and I was pleased to see that TVs were not a focus here. Menu is good. Lots of different things to try, but they are well known for their pizzas. Great selection of beers. Also an okay selection of cocktails and wine. I am on medication, so I tried a "near beer" can that they offered and I was pleased with the flavour. I wish they would have a non alcoholic that is more local on tap. Hubby because of driving went with a coke. We decided on two pizzas - PB & J which contained roasted pineapple, smoked bacon, fresh jalapeño, mozzarella, brick blend and the Animal Style -Ezzo pepperoni, seasoned beef, bacon, pizza sauce, crushed chilis, Grana Padano. Both came out hot and fresh and tasty. I enjoyed my toppings better, however my husband's pizza sauce was absolutely perfect. Service (once we were seated) was pleasant. We received some chocolate dipped strawberries as a customer appreciation gift and that was lovely. My goal is to try all the pizzas. Give it a go if you like Detroit style pizzas.

It was okay but not memorable, it was also served with too much of a crown. For food I ordered the Lemongrass Chicken which they describe as a classic "Vietnamese Banh Mi style sandwich by our friends at Pho & Bun". I'm assuming Pho and Bun is a ghost restaurant in the same building but I don't know. Either way it was very good. The sandwiche was Just the right size. The others at my table ordered similar sandwiches such as the pulled port and the feature. There was also a couple of vegan choices and my daughter appeared to be pleased with hers. They have only two appetizers; pretzels and something they called "drift chips" which are probably fries. Inside it's very casual and not particularly large. They use long tables that are similar to picnic tables to accommodate various sizes of groups. There are some smaller tables too, as well as an outside patio. We enjoyed ourselves and the small size of the place kept the atmosphere pleasant. There are several other brew pubs in the area so they have a lot of competition. They get 5 stars for the food, and 3 stars for the beer. I can recommend Sea Change. Hopefully the other beer selections are a bit more interesting.

Even less so for bars in small towns (I know Camrose is…read moreTECHNICALLY a city, but not to somebody who's lived long periods in dense areas of Calgary).... so when I walk into a bar at 8pm, I don't expect it to be PACKED, but I do expect there to be SOME business... and more over, I expect there to be some staff providing actual service. When I came in with my two brothers and our dad we were one of only 2 groups there: the other being a group of 6 or 8 people at a cluster of table pressed right up against the end of the bar. The bartender (the only staff on at the time) seemed to know them, and basically spent the entire time we were there standing at their table talking with them. We walked over to the pool table, which is in plain sight from where she was standing and proceeded to shoot an entire game without ONCE being approached, or even called out to... finally, my Dad had to go over and point out that we'd been completely neglected this whole time and retrieve our drinks from the bar (which, I don't know how this place works, but that would never be the case in the city - with an almost empty bar like this they should be able to easily make a round now and then). Over the course of the 3 or so hours we were there, that group left and another smaller and younger group showed up, setting up camp not far from us, and still there was no service in our area save for one brief appearance. I can't imagine what had her so busy all that time. I'm giving this place a second star because the building itself was very well kept, the pool table was in good condition - everything NOT related to service was perfectly fine... nothing to write home about, but fine. The service on the other hand was pretty terrible, and the lack of business at that time of night was completely confusing... until I talked to a friend who's a local, and I was told that at the time we were there (8 to about 10:30) is when "people are at home, drinking for cheaper. They don't start to get busy until later when all the pre-drinkers show up." Yeah... not exactly my kind of place.

FU has a new sign on the front which is pretty awesome - love their logo! Otherwise, it hasn't really changed from Famoso. The interior is the same, including the very large oven! Maybe pizza is somewhere in their future. Service was pretty good. Our server forgot a few things, but she made up for it by having a very sweet personality. We were only one of two tables... on St. Patrick's Day! I hope they can get more business. Their beer is awesome, which is the highlight. And a good thing too, since they're a brewery. We tried the Cossack Imperial Stout, Naughty Amber, and Last Call Blonde. I thought they were all good, but the Stout definitely stood out as the best! If I were to recommend a beer from here it would be the Stout. The food was OK. I had the veggie burger and my partner had fish and chips. We also tried the mozza sticks. Nothing to write home about, but not awful! Typical bar food. The mozza sticks were obviously the best because you can't really mess them up. I think with some work the food could be great. We will see, these are still early days. I would definitely encourage this place to work on their food though because while the beer is good, the food will drive people away. People want to eat and drink at the same time and if the food isn't great, they won't return. Enjoy the beer if you do go! I'm looking forward to re-reviewing in a few months.
