Back in town for the holidays so decided to check out a few breweries. First up was Odd Company Brewing. They're located in the Oliver Exchange Building which also houses Brio Bakery and Iconoclaust Koffehaus. We dropped in on a Saturday (around 3:00pm) and it was decently busy. Open and spacious with a touch of industrial chic. You need to go up to the bar to order. I was a bit surprised/disappointed that they don't offer flights but at least they let me sample a couple flavours before deciding There was 12 beers on tap along with a couple other drink options. Impressed that they carry Revel Cider. There's also a small food menu (snacks and mains). - Pretzel & pickle ($4.50) - soft pretzel, dill pickle and Dijon sauce. Small, light appy. - Fever Tree ginger ($3.00) - B couldn't drink alcohol so he opted for this. - Blood orange and carrot sour ($7.50 pint) - rosy pink sour ale conditioned on Sicilian blood oranges and carrot juice. This was light and quaffable. Touch of sour comes at the end. OCB has a good variety of beers and like that they continue to experiment. 3.5 stars.

2 beers! Nitro in Middle notice the bubbles?

Awesome brew pub!!! This place is brand new, and is sparkling inside... They really have some amazing and interesting beers... I thoroughly enjoyed the nitrogen beers which actually have way smaller bubbles and almost like a creamier frothy head on them. I really recommend coming down here and trying a bit of everything. The rhubarb nitrogen was by far my favorite, but the session ale and also the farmhouse ale was amazing. It's so close to my place and it's a really interesting new building that has some great stuff in it. Also the food was great. Had some olives and a fresh pretzel which were both done great!

This is a nice brewery with a very small food menu that consists pretty much of burgers, pretzels, and hot dogs, but very good ones. The burger won an award recently for best burger in Edmonton and it was indeed a good burger. Came here to meet some friends for my boyfriend's birthday, as they have both good beer and a nice outdoor patio (with heaters), and didn't mind at all if we brought along our own birthday cake. So we had burgers and beer and birthday cake and chatted with some of the other patrons who had brought various dogs and even one cat also. One nice thing about the beer is that the half pints are literally half the price of the full pint, so you're not getting overcharged if you just want to try a bunch of half pints of different beers to see which you like best. And there's the 102 Ave bicycle path right nearby so easy to get to by bike or scooter, although there's some street parking also. This will be a very nice place to stop at in the warmer summer days, and if you feel like some comfort food in the form of a burger, also hard to go wrong!

We were there during a hockey playoff game so it was a lot of fun. My only issue with this restaurant is the lack of parking space. This is one of the main reasons we don't eat here regularly. Overall, I still give this place a 4.5/5 stars.

I jumped on the chance because I love the pizzas here. They have a soft doughy crust. So we ventured here for lunch. It wasn't too full, and it took a while for someone to notice and get us seated. We actually debated leaving, however finally they seated us, it was all good. (Hence why it looses a star). Atmosphere is pretty typical for a craft brewery. I am not a huge sports bar fan, and I was pleased to see that TVs were not a focus here. Menu is good. Lots of different things to try, but they are well known for their pizzas. Great selection of beers. Also an okay selection of cocktails and wine. I am on medication, so I tried a "near beer" can that they offered and I was pleased with the flavour. I wish they would have a non alcoholic that is more local on tap. Hubby because of driving went with a coke. We decided on two pizzas - PB & J which contained roasted pineapple, smoked bacon, fresh jalapeño, mozzarella, brick blend and the Animal Style -Ezzo pepperoni, seasoned beef, bacon, pizza sauce, crushed chilis, Grana Padano. Both came out hot and fresh and tasty. I enjoyed my toppings better, however my husband's pizza sauce was absolutely perfect. Service (once we were seated) was pleasant. We received some chocolate dipped strawberries as a customer appreciation gift and that was lovely. My goal is to try all the pizzas. Give it a go if you like Detroit style pizzas.

It was okay but not memorable, it was also served with too much of a crown. For food I ordered the Lemongrass Chicken which they describe as a classic "Vietnamese Banh Mi style sandwich by our friends at Pho & Bun". I'm assuming Pho and Bun is a ghost restaurant in the same building but I don't know. Either way it was very good. The sandwiche was Just the right size. The others at my table ordered similar sandwiches such as the pulled port and the feature. There was also a couple of vegan choices and my daughter appeared to be pleased with hers. They have only two appetizers; pretzels and something they called "drift chips" which are probably fries. Inside it's very casual and not particularly large. They use long tables that are similar to picnic tables to accommodate various sizes of groups. There are some smaller tables too, as well as an outside patio. We enjoyed ourselves and the small size of the place kept the atmosphere pleasant. There are several other brew pubs in the area so they have a lot of competition. They get 5 stars for the food, and 3 stars for the beer. I can recommend Sea Change. Hopefully the other beer selections are a bit more interesting.

We sat at the bar and were pleasantly greeted by two of the managers/owners who also sat at the bar. Was nice to hear from the owners about how they came up with some of the beers. We ordered a pizza. The spicy pineapple one. Sadly I didn't have a chance to take a picture because we ate it so fast. It was great. Nice balance of flavour and not a massive crust (which I'm not a fan of). The place is really nice. Patio is big and you get a lovely view of a man made lake (what beats beer and a great view).

FU has a new sign on the front which is pretty awesome - love their logo! Otherwise, it hasn't really changed from Famoso. The interior is the same, including the very large oven! Maybe pizza is somewhere in their future. Service was pretty good. Our server forgot a few things, but she made up for it by having a very sweet personality. We were only one of two tables... on St. Patrick's Day! I hope they can get more business. Their beer is awesome, which is the highlight. And a good thing too, since they're a brewery. We tried the Cossack Imperial Stout, Naughty Amber, and Last Call Blonde. I thought they were all good, but the Stout definitely stood out as the best! If I were to recommend a beer from here it would be the Stout. The food was OK. I had the veggie burger and my partner had fish and chips. We also tried the mozza sticks. Nothing to write home about, but not awful! Typical bar food. The mozza sticks were obviously the best because you can't really mess them up. I think with some work the food could be great. We will see, these are still early days. I would definitely encourage this place to work on their food though because while the beer is good, the food will drive people away. People want to eat and drink at the same time and if the food isn't great, they won't return. Enjoy the beer if you do go! I'm looking forward to re-reviewing in a few months.
