Had a severe transmission leak for many years. My confidence is solidified in Vanesa and her brother. Excellent service. Replaced my transmission case with correct year case. My car shifts smoothly and has not one leak to speak of! **They didn't leave a mark or scratch on my paint!** Attention to detail and quality work. I'm dealing with these folks for all of my classics and moderns.

First initial experience was great but the very end was absolutely horrible. I took my car to SD transmissions because I was having rpm problems and figured it was a transmission issue. I was told that an initial scan of my car would be 90 dollars and any other service with them that 90 dollars would be a credited towards those services (a 90 dollar discount). After the initial scan their employee Jeff (who was helping me all throughout my time there) told me they would have to take my transmission out and do a full check and it would cost 895 dollars plus the 90 dollar credit which would be 805 dollars. That was a lot of money but I needed to figure out what was wrong. After they did the inside check they told me it would be 2900 to fix. (mind my transmission did not need to be replaced) Unfortunately that was too much money for me and I decided to not go through with the services and just sell my car instead. I spoke with a junkyard telling them about my transmission problems and was told I would be getting 940 dollars since the car did still run. The day of pick up I paid Jeff and stupidly paid the 895 dollars without noticing the 90 dollar credit was not given (my own fault). After I paid , my business with SD transmissions was over. Before speaking with the junkyard employee Jeff took it upon himself to lie to the employee and say my transmission needed to be replaced and it was not drivable. I was never told this and would've discussed this with the junkyard while doing my appraisal. Jeff had no right to speak to this man at all because this was my own personal business not regarding him. Due to his lies i was only given 500 dollars. I lost 400 dollars which would've helped me with the almost 900 dollars I just paid. I was lied to and my money was stolen from me and put into a deeper financial hardship. I will never be doing business with SD transmissions ever again.

When it's hot out it will start but then within an hour die. Been happening for about a year, we tested it with the door open and it would run most of the time indefinitely. So anyway when I brought it in I voiced all this too the service advisor. I told him to make sure the mechanic tests it with the door closed because we know with the door closed it's overheating, which is the problem I was trying to solve. They charged me for the technician to look at it and then run it for 2 hours in an air conditioned bay with the door open. So of course it didn't overheat. So they call me and go oh no nothing's wrong. So I question them about it sure enough they ran it under the wrong circumstances. So then the service advisor goes back out turns it back on, runs with the door closed sure enough within an hour it dies. Well long story short almost $700 later they tell me yep it's overheating. Yeah I know that that's why I brought it in, what is the diagnosed issue? We're not sure but we should probably just do a thousand hour service cuz that'll cover everything. Well the generator only has about 850 hours So basically they just wanted to throw parts at it. I can take it to any generator or RV shop and they could do that cheaper than what Cummins would charge. I took it to Cummins for a targeted diagnostics But instead got stuck with a huge bill and no more information than when I brought it in. Second issue of the three issues they fixed.. I have a hydraulic parking brake that's connected to the drive line. They had to repair a hose that was leaking. Well after they repaired the hose they didn't add any of the lost hydraulic fluid into the reservoir. So the very first time I went to put the parking brake on it wouldn't engage. So I'm sitting there at my house trying to call my wife holding the brakes so she can come in hold the brakes so I can go out and diagnose the issue which was the reservoir was low on hydraulic fluid. I honestly didn't bother to call them about anything I mean how can you trust him if they don't even bother to fill up a parking brake reservoir which keeps the coach from rolling away. So don't waste your money going to Cummins thinking they know better, at the 200 plus dollars an hour your not getting any better service than anywhere else.

Higher viscosity leads to higher pressures which lead to seals leaking and failing. I'm really surprised you haven't researched this. How about the leaking oil filter a day after install? How about the scratches from resting my tires on the paint of my car? Lazy and inconsiderate. Matt said the gentleman he spoke with, John, I believe, was super cool I called and spoke with John and he was indeed super cool. I made arrangements to drop off the truck the following day. The next day when I arrived I was greeted by John and he was as super cool in person as he was on the phone. I immediately knew why Matt picked Sparky's to take care of his truck. Fast forward about a week. I received a text from Matt. "Please give Sparky's a 5-star Yelp. They were f***n' awesome!" Next up is engine work and Sparky's even delivered the truck to Roy Wheeler Automotive where that will take place.
