Do not take your vehicle here took my truck there for a simple adjustment on a automatic C4 spoke with Dennis don't believe this guy just trying to get your vehicle in there to generate cash doesn't work on your vehicle just works the phones. I think you can tell a lot about a company by the way they handle their customers problems. I brought my car to them for a repair back in 2009 and they fixed my truck quick and we're upfront and honest with the costs. In 2022 my clutch went out on the freeway and I limped it in based off my previous good experience. It was replaced but unfortunately their supplier made a mistake and my clutch wasn't operating properly. Dennis handled it professionally and made it very easy on me to make things right. The correct part took a little longer to arrive than expected. But not a huge deal! They seem to be a little busy. This place was recommended to me by a friend who had their transfer case worked on. And everything went smoothly. My transfer case was in need of being resealed and it cost about 900somethjng bucks. I called around to compare prices and this seemed to be a reasonable price for people who knew what they were doing and the assurance of that. I recommend this place. read more

Went to these guys to get my transmission replaced. Upon the first initial conversation I had stated that I wanted a new transmission not a rebuilt. They led me to believe that that's what I was going to get. Ended up with a rebuilt transmission. Upon doing the work they realized I had a leak in my rear main seal and didn't even bother to tell me. They definitely didn't offer to replace it or anything. Went back to talk to them about it and the manager basically stated that they don't do rear main seals. Now I have to pay my mechanic to pull everything apart again to change that. Also have a noise in my front transaxle that wasn't there before they started the work. Once again they're passing the blame and saying that they had no responsibility in causing that noise. Would not recommend these people to anyone ever. By far the crappiest transmission people in town. read more

I had my manual transmission rebuilt by recently changed name Factory(see review)to Certified Transmission. After 24,450 miles, it leaks from the gaskets and seals and a bearing is very loud now. I did not run it low on gear oil and suspect it was not a truly rebuilt correctly transmission. I work too hard for my money and would never trust them to do work for me again. Too bad as I liked them :( I am only sharing my experience and recommend a JDM Japan imported unopenned transmission, if you have that option. Ebay has been a good source for me. Good luck read more

Certified Transmission saved our vacation!!! If 10 stars were an option they would have earned it. Last week my family and I were headed out to Sedona in our Jeep Wrangler. This would be the first big road trip with the Jeep. Unfortunately the transmission started to have trouble soon after leaving town. After calling several transmission shops from the side of the road, I found Certified Transmission. Cindy sounded honest over the phone and assured me they would be able to look at it first thing that morning. We had it towed down to the shop and sure enough they jumped right on it. After 10 minutes of these guys looking at my jeep I could tell they knew what they were doing. Unfortunately my transmission was toast. We would have to replace it. I thought our vacation was ruined, but Certified Transmission managed to have one shipped from Los Angeles over night and have it replaced in under 24 hours. I got to tell my 2 year old son and wife that the trip was back on :) We were back on the road the very next day and made it to Sedona. The jeep is running better than when I purchased it. I have a 2006 Dodge Dually Diesel with 130k miles. The transmission had shifting issues so I scanned it and it threw a code P7157 ( governed line pressure too low ) I decided to take it to Certified Transmission to get an estimate for repair, and I got a call back from the guy at the counter. He told me that they found metal shavings inside the pan and had signs of transmission wear and it would need a complete overhaul. He told me it would cost me anywhere from 4200 to 4800 for repairs. I wanted to get a second opinion because I take extremely good care of my vehicles and had a funny feeling about his estimate. I had it towed to a reputable business ( East County Diesel ) that was recommended by a good friend and after inspection and tests performed on the vehicle it came back with the same conclusion I had. It needed a Pressure Valve Body, adjust the bands and replaced the transmission Throttle valve. All in all I got my vehicle back and it runs better then ever. The technician told me that the pan had no metal shavings and there was nothing wrong with the gears or bands. The cost to do all this work and still did adjustments to the valves and also included transmission service was way less then what Certified was trying to charge me for some bogus work. Right after receiving my truck I drove it back to Certified to let them know what I though about their estimate. The technician had an attitude and basically rushed me out of the shop. I really hate to do this but I don't want anyone falling for what seemed to me a scam! Be careful and make sure to do your homework or get a second opinion before shelling out that kind of money. Great service. I had my entire transmission replaced with them. They gave me a 2 week window when it would be done, they had my vehicle about 26 hours and it was done! The women at the desk is very friendly, and the owner whom I only interacted by phone is very profesional. Being a female I run into issues in the automotive industry with being talked down to. I have 20 something yrs of experience working in cars, several engine rebuilds, and one transmission rebuild (on a different veichle) so it gets frustrating. He was profesional explained what was wrong and what he suggested to do. I had gone in just wanting to replace it but he still wanted to do his own diagnoses which is understandable. I have been "fighting" with my C4 Transmission leak for over a year. I put in new seals, and three pan gaskets and Lots ofTransmission fluid. I was not happy with the old girl as she kept leaving red puddles everywhere I parked. I put in a request for help on Yelp and several shops called me all trying to sell me a full rebuild. Up to $1,800. I can by a new one for less and put it in myself. Certified called and I spoke to Cindy. She said to bring it down and they would check it out, no charge. I dropped it off on Monday, they check it out and fixed the leak, adjusted the linkage and shifter. Kept it over night to make sure it did not leak. Finally I can park it with out worries. LIEFSAVERS! Yep, that's what they are. The day before Valentine's day my son in-law had plans to drive out about 2 hour distance. While he was picking up some last minute gifts his car broke down. The sound the car did made my son in-law think the transmission just gave out. I did some research and found these guys and boy am I "Happy" I did! They were fast, friendly, and professional, but their most powerful trait was their honesty. They towed the car for free and told my son in-law that it wasn't the transmission.
