We spoke to several landscapers about options for hardscaping our backyard. The winner was clear in the end. SCV Landscaping first impressed us by offering something that nobody else did - a designer, free of charge! That's right, Greg worked with us to talk through options on how best to design the backyard and then created free 3D renderings! This was EXTREMELY helpful because it truly allowed us to visualize what our yard would look like with our house - it even caused us to make some design changes to our original plans since we could visualize them so well. Greg would always update the designs quickly (overnight) so that we can see how our design changes would look. Greg and team provided us sample pavers for the colors we were choosing between so that we would be comfortable with our decision. Once we agreed on a design, the team got to work almost immediately. They use a project management system (Basecamp) to ensure constant communication between the owner, designer, project manager, foreman, and the owner! This allowed me to ask questions and receive answers in real time. Once work began, I was amazed at how fast the team works. I *never* saw members of the crew sitting back and relaxing during the work time - this team works HARD and I could tell they really connect well as a team. This is important as you know that people that are happy with working together truly care about the quality of the work they are doing - and it showed! Throughout the entire process, the foreman would always walk me through what they were doing. In fact, in two cases, I noticed the work being done didn't exactly align with the plan - he explained to me that he had leftover pieces and knew that using them would enhance the overall look of the finished product - and boy was he right! I appreciated the attention to detail that the entire team provided. Also, I want to point out the unseen quality in the work. The team cuts no corners. They use top-of-the-line reinforcement under the pavers, used top-of-the-line paving "sand" to fill the cracks between the pavers, flood drains EVERYWHERE, custom cuts on all corners for the pavers, custom cuts around all pipes/drains, and they even used concrete around the planter box wall to ensure the hardscaping will not move over time. These are details that ensure the work will last for decades to come. We could not be happier with the entire process and the end result. It looks amazing and the quality is sturdy. After the job was done, we realized one little section of pavers wasn't draining the way intended - at 7am the very next morning, the crew was back to enhance the drainage of that area and it is perfect! They also provided us instructions on how to best care for the plants/grass - and now one month later they have continued to grow very healthy and beautiful! The entire team, Nick/Greg/Eric/Foreman/crew did great! I recommend them to everybody looking to truly increase the value of their home through hardscaping. To help provide context, the work performed for us included pavers, grass, plants, planter box areas with mulch, custom stepping stones with pebbles, irrigation system (grass and plants), a firepit (they run the gas line all the way from the meter to ensure full power!), electrical connections, high pressure water hose connection, a stucco wall around the A/C unit, and extremely well done water drains in the pavers, grass, and even inside the firepit. We began the process of talking and obtaining bids from several companies and after meeting with Nick and Greg U., we decided that they were the team for us. We met with a few landscaping companies to bring our backyard vision to life. Of the 3 we met with SCV Landscaping had the best understanding of our goals and budget. They were able to take our rudimentary concept drawings and turn it into a beautiful rendering, and offered up a few minor revisions to tweak it. From an installation standpoint, it was very professional and quick, this was 3 weeks from beginning to end with consistent progress made each day. We felt peace of mind knowing that everything was done properly with permits. After researching countless contractors and going back and forth with who I was going to going to hire for the backyard, I am so happy that i chose SCV landscaping for the job. When i moved into my house i knew i wanted a Pool, Built in BBQ and patio cover, but was had no idea how i would lay it out in my back yard. Even with all the craziness SCV managed to make sure my front and back yard were neat and tidy every time they left the job site. Job foreman Greg M. was so attentive and handled all my requests and concerns with the upmost professionalism. He made sure that things were getting done in a timely fashion in order to meet my deadline. He met with me many times offsite to choose materials and kept me up to date with progress pictures. in all i could not be happier with my decision to have SCV build my backyard. My husband and I chose them after going through several different prospects and BOY ARE WE GLAD we went with SCV. Folks in our neighborhood also getting pools noticed how efficiently and QUICKLY they finished our complete property landscaping redo and pool install and had to wait 8+ months to get there's done with many periods of zero work being done along the way. They redid every inch of our 0.2 acre property: new irrigation, plants, grass, mulch, lighting, trees and brand new in ground pool, water feature, wall, and equipment for a *VERY* competitive price all within a 3 month period. We found SCV from a neighbor referral and also saw their advertisement placards all over the neighborhood. We spoke to Nick and Greg and they came over to do an onsite consultation of the backyard, Greg go us the first render of our idea some time later. He was really good about edits and tweaks to maximize our backyard space and we settled on a design and were put in the queue.. Now we did have to wait a while to get started, but we knew that and Nick or Greg was good about keeping us updated on start date and ended up starting a bit early. Where SCV was way about the rest of our bids was actual construction time, they FLY through it, when they say 8-10 weeks, it's really 8-10 weeks, we had friends that used someone else and it took 4 months to get their pool done. The onsite formen, Eric and Brian are on top of things, quick to answer questions or concerns, we were never in the dark. The crews who did work were always nice and mindful about our kids and dogs, the site was never a mess. Any issues that came up were resolved quickly and fixed. I would use them again anytime.

We met with several landscaping companies when we were ready to have our backyard redone. SCV Landscaping was the clear choice for us. Greg came out and met with us and he was a wealth of knowledge. We loved all of his ideas and experience, and especially loved that they take care of everything! They had a plan drawn up to submit to our HOA, which was very helpful. Upon deposit, we were given an estimated 3 month wait for the project start, but it ended up being about 8 months. This, however, was not an issue for us and we were able to communicate with someone easily when we requested an update. Once the project started, the work was done very efficiently and communication was fluid. Brian was our project manager and he was great. Lalo was the foreman and he was extraordinary! They were done in 2 weeks and everything seemed to happen seamless and the crew was polite and neat. We had a paver wall installed, a raised paver circle for a seated area (and portable fire pit), all new irrigation, sod and drip lines, as well as landscape lighting. A few days after everything was done we had an issue with raccoons lifting our sod and Brian came out to take a look and talk with us about solutions. Lalo also came back out to adjust the sprinkler timing. We are so happy to have found a company that we can trust and we will definitely use them again.

They installed good amount of drainage and sprinklers on every plant that we chose. We love the water feature as well. SCV Landscaping was amazing! Not only did they complete the pool in 8 weeks as they promised, they also started 2 months ahead of schedule! We got appraisals from multiple companies that were known in SCV and none of them could compare to the style we wanted, and not to mention, that they do EVERYTHING from pool to landscape to hardscape.
