In our backyard, we had Superior lay pavers with drains, build a covered sitting area, install low voltage lighting and drip lines and re-landscape the beds. They did a wonderful job! Follow up on my last review. Had to have another pool company come out and fix the mistakes made by the Superior team. Luckily he was able to fix the system, or the filter and other machinery would have continued to repeatedly break. Summary of Issues Identified and Corrected in Pool System: * Spa Return Lines Misconfigured: The plumbing for the spa jets was installed incorrectly. Water was flowing back into the air lines, which should only carry air. This prevented the jets from working properly, as they rely on air to create the jet effect. * Blower Misleading Jet Function: A blower was connected to the jet lines, making it seem like the jets were working. However, the air was not being delivered through the actual jets, so the system was not functioning as intended. * Conflicting Returns to Spa: Two separate pumps were sending water to the spa, creating excess backpressure. This caused water to flow backward into the filter when pump #2 was running at higher speeds. In reality, pump #2 was unnecessary but was just sold to me to inflate my price. * Incorrect Suction Plumbing: The suction side of the system used a T-connector instead of a proper 3-way valve. This setup didn't allow for isolating the skimmer and cleaner lines, leading to poor suction and ineffective cleaning. * Malfunctioning 3-Way Valve: One of the 3-way valves that controls water flow between the pool and spa was malfunctioning. It would block all flow when turned (a condition known as "dead-heading"), which caused the pump to run dry and risk damage. * Salt System Wiring Issues: The saltwater chlorination system was wired incorrectly and wasn't functioning properly. * Unnecessary Booster Pump: A booster pump was installed but didn't have a dedicated return line--only a suction line. It was incorrectly connected to the spa return, which created additional backpressure on the entire filtration system. read more

I did my review too soon. Not sure what to think about this company. They installed the wrong color pavers and wouldn't take responsibility for it. They did a good job on my neighbor's yard so I let my guard down and didn't check their work thoroughly. I wanted a gray tone color pavers. They put that on the quote and invoices. But they put a tan color on the design. But they installed a gray-tan color. I asked if they can compensate me for their mistake by taking out $1000 (it cost me $16k) but they refused and said the color they installed looked good for my home. If you use this company, make sure you watch every steps of the installation process. I am just disappointed they wouldn't even acknowledge their mistake. read more

When we moved into our newly constructed home, we were eager to have the backyard landscaped and hardscaped with a specific design in mind. Superior Pavers had left a flyer on our door, and we called them with our ideas. From start to finish, they were incredible with which to work. Both Albert and Nick took our ideas and then put them together into a beautiful backyard that both our neighbors and friends comment on whenever they come over to visit. On a past invoice I paid to Superior Pavers I just noticed a "tumbling charge" of $ 1,885.00 for Belgard (Old World) pavers WHICH COME WITH A TUMBLED LOOK FROM THE BELGARD FACTORY. My building contractors pointed it out to me when they were installed (but I forgot to call out Albert on it), as the bottom of each paver is perfectly flat, so there is no way these were tumbled(the process whereby pavers or bricks are placed in a concrete mixer to take off or round the edges, in which case the "tumbling" effect would show on the bottom of each paver as well). They already come that way!! Our problem was that the promised quote never came, my text messages were completely ignored, after I sent my last text saying "thanks for nothing we won't do business with you" we got the rushed quote without even the options we wanted. BTW even when you were here you had a kind of attitude towards us. I referred many customers for you that won't happen. Couple years ago they did a fantastic job in my backyard. Last week I contacted them to build a pool. Albert came out gave us the quote double as two years ago. Pros: - cement work - drainage Cons: - They accidentally sealed over a water fill spout for the pool! Their first response was to deny their mistake and claim that we had old and rusty plumbing. False. We had to show them exactly where the spout was before they sealed it over with tile. Once they realized they couldn't blame anyone else for their carelessness, their solution was to cut the tile in half, cut a hole for the spout, and Frankenstein it back together. They left us with a broken ass tile, crooked grout line right through the middle of it, even though we had plenty of brand new tiles left over to replace it with. - Broke our sprinkler system. Had to pay another contractor to repair. - Broke our heavy duty gate and blamed it on the wind. When we confronted them about it, they again denied breaking it, and repaired it as "a courtesy." We ended up having to hire another contractor to fix it. - Workers left their daily lunch trash throughout our garden planters. Our garbage bins were no further than 10 feet away, fully at their disposal. They literally broke more things than they were hired to fix. read more

I was in a rush to get the job finished and they were able to start installing in 4-5 days after I received the quote. Everything that was promised got completed and it looks amazing. Do NOT sign a paver contract without getting a quote from Superior Pavers! Albert and Nick were great to work with. I have a small backyard and we maximized the space based on the design and layout. My project included gas lines, electrical lines and outlet for future hot tub, fire pit, built in BBQ, landscaping, rain gutters, and the pavers. I love the price, the looks, functionality, and service! Albert was always accessible, listened to what I wanted, and made adjustments during the project as needed. To save money, I did the side yard myself, but Albert leveled it and took out the debris...no extra charge! Also, I went with a fire bowl which was 25% the price of a custom built one and Albert did not even attempt to persuade me to get the expensive one! I've called twice to find out the status and they keep giving me the runaround saying they will have an estimate out to me in the next couple of days. All I know is that they never responded to my online request for quote so I had to call after waiting over a week. They then were over an hour late for the appointment and blamed it on car trouble (but never used their cell phone to call me until they arrived and I had left). Bought new construction home in Santa Clarita so I decided to get a few estimates for my back yard. I was debating between stamped concrete and pavers. I decided to go with pavers which is a little more pricey. I got estimates from 4 different vendors. Superior Pavers gave me the best price (really good price and lowest). I was a little hesitant because I thought it was to low for what they were promising. I gave them a shot hoping they would not let me down...well what can I say..I was blown away with the work they did on my yard. Wow!! They exceeded my expectations. They were there everyday working hard in the hot sun. They did an incredible job. Several years ago, I had previously installed walkway and parking area with interlocking pavers with a previous company and spent a lot of money on the work. I had contacted the same company figuring that they would do the work for the two patio areas but was told that it was too small of a job. You can imagine how upset I was and would have never had them do the original job had I known. So after contacting another interlocking paver company (see my review of that company), I then finally contacted the actual manufacturer of the interlocking paver company which was Angelus Pavers. Thank goodness I used Angelus Pavers (see review) because the salesperson referred me to several companies and one of them was Superior Interlocking Pavers Inc. Since I lost at least a week's time to waste with another estimate interlocking pavers company (see that review), Thank goodness for Albert Cedano who came to the rescue to get the patios done within four days! Please be aware that I had already prepared the areas. I had the design on paper with measurements, I had moved electrical llights and moved sprinklers so that they would be at least 10 inches underground and not hinder the interlocking paver company when they installed the pavers. In certain cities you may need permit and a permit for hauling the pavers; but many times if the job is too small, the city will exempt you; which you need to find out prior to hiring any interlocking paving company. I also had plastic heavy duty tarps on the area which Superior company would unload their sand and gravel. And do the job yourself to lay out the heavy duty plastic to protect the material dumping area --. Thank goodness because Albert had informed me that the installers would use wheel barrels; but instead the truck with the installers dumped all the sand and gravel they would use on my parking area (which already had installed interlocking pavers) - and would had scratched the pavers with their shovels. In addition, I suggest that you have an portable toilet for the installers - do not rent from Superior company since although they have their own, it was being used for another job so I would definitely go with another toilet company to deliver the portable toilet otherwise the installers will go in the backyard where ever they can find a place; even through I informed them I would give them monies to buy pastires across the street when they used the restaurant toilet. But I suppose they are on time crunch and do not want to waste time so they used my backyard - not good. And it took more than the two days estimated time because of unforeseen problems -- even if one day, the installers need somewhere to go. And if you have them tracking dirt and gravel through your residence, then you don't know how it feels with bare feet which finds the gravel no matter how well you clean (and my 83 years old mother will have a fit with them tracking in dirt!) In addition, I had several large patio umbrellas which was important during the 80+ degree heat wave for the installers who were happy for the cool shade; even though I had to haul the umbrellas over them since they refused to do it. As for the final job, which you need to get an separate estimate which is the sealant which needs to be applied after the pavers are installed. Without the sealant, the sand will wear away (like mine did in the walkways). Get this estimate and you will have to make sure that it includes power washing and make sure that pavers are dry before appling sealant (call manufacturer of sealant) according to the manufacturer and not the paving company. As a side note, I had to pay an additional $250 for delivery because the pavers were the wrong color which were to match my previous installed pavers. It was not the fault of the company but the Angelus changed the pavers colors during the years -- so go to the manufacturer's plant at Angelus and you can see all the current styles, colors and designs actually on their huge plant parking lot (diagram of the names, styles are on a sheet inside the Angelus manufacturing plant office. Superior Interlocking Paving Inc met the deadline to make it for the celebration! And I'm very happy with the results and happy I oversaw the project! read more

We had a big backyard project that included demo of the entire existing concrete deck, pool coping, pool tile, and plaster, huge demo job! Albert has all the equipment to handle everything including dump trucks and Skip loaders to haul away all debris. Albert was extremely helpful with choosing all materials, color scheme and over all design of the entire project. He installed 1600 sq feet of paver deck, new paver pool coping, pool tile, stonescape mini pebble pool finish, split main drain on pool, led deck lights,led pool lights, deck drain lines, slump stone planter wall.
