Update on a previous review I had given this company. Do not use them. I needed a plumbing access line moved and as a result concrete repair work done. When I was finally able get through to them after several calls and texts, I was quoted an exorbitant amount because the job is too small for them. I found this company on Yelp after we got several quotes from other companies that were out of our price range. It's a huge driveway that was asphalt and gravel and we wanted pavers. I called and someone responded right away. Jose came out a few days later and measured and quoted us way cheaper than the others. We said okay and they started a week later. They obtained a permit but did not submit appropriate plans and there were many issues with respect to determining the work that needed to be done with the inspectors. For a 13' x 22' patio area, I was quoted a very fair price ($2400) for everything, materials and labor. MB Paving did a great job and I am really glad that I ended up going with them for my flatwork needs. I recently purchased a 1947 1000sf home with a 4" slab of broken concrete that covered the back yard. Additionally, there was an existing freestanding brick fireplace and barbque that I wanted to keep. I had probably 8 contractors come out and give me quotes that were all over the place. MB Paving did a great job demoing and removing the concrete slab, a small CMU wall, a shed, and a tree. They had the entire backyard cleared within three days. And the freestanding brick fireplace was left in tact. They returned the following week and installed a beautiful brick patio, pea gravel surrounding, and repoured the driveway. Terrible experience. Called the company based on the reviews and was sent to voicemail, which left a cell number to text. I texted the cell number with my issue (I had a driveway installed with pavers about 6 months back and it was installed incorrectly). Received a text back stating, "who is your contractor? Are u asking for Jose?" I had no clue what they were talking about and again explained my situation. She then stated she was in the hospital with her son and could I please send pictures of my driveway so she could forward them to Jose. Again, I had no idea who Jose was but I forwarded the pictures anyhow. A few hours later I get a message back stating, "Jose said he can't help you." What? Nothing further. No explanation. I told them I thought their response was super unprofessional and I was going to write a Yelp review about my experience. Let me tell you, they called me 10 times in a row and even sent me a picture of her son in the hospital! This is CRAZY!!!! They did finally say they couldn't help me because they dont do pavers (although a lot of their Yelp pictures clearly show paver work), but this was after the horrible, terrible, unprofessional experience I had with them thus far.
