A very professional organization Ace demo our swimming pool - on schedule and budget. Ace team did an excellent job of cleaning up after every day Solid supervisory support to handle any problems. Punctual to start the day on time and keep noise and disturbance to minimal for our neighbors. Ace walked the permit through Glendale inspector process. If we had another pool, I would hire Ace immediately to demo it read more

We hired Ace Demolition to remove our swimming pool and deck at our hillside home. There was limited access along the side of our house (6 feet) and curvy roads to get to our home, but they got the job done on time and for the quoted budget. Eric and Paul communicated the timeline and project steps well, and we were happy with the overall process. They handled all the aspects of communication with the City of LA Grading department and were on top of any issues that came up. Removing a pool and regrading the hillside is messy work, but they cleaned up after completing everything. And the crew kept the work site tidy at the end of each day. All team members at the job site were friendly and thoughtful. read more

Ace is the place! In early December we hired them to demolish and haul away our decrepit trailer parked next to our house, and they did a great job in all respects. * Great communication with Paul and Eric * Charles and the crew were thorough and helpful * Pricing was fair -- no ups, no extras * Started and finished on time Who could ask for anything more? read more

We have two bathrooms and one kitchen plus a few closets need to be demolished for remodeling , I found Ace Demolition on Yelp , Eric and his workers are so professional , they did great of both quality and time management, the demolition was completely on time exactly the same as Eric estimated and I'm very happy with the quality works they did. A very good value of service for what we paid ! read more

Our hillside home swimming pool was not an easy demolition project. It required the entire shell to be removed and hauled away over two retaining walls. Ace Demolition came up with a plan using a digger to 'hand off' the debris to a skid-steer, in which that driver dumped the debris into a street side dumpster below. Impressive stuff. To fill the excavated hole, they followed city grading guidelines and matched the site soil appropriately. Eric and Paul were good at communicating. Because Ace does so many jobs, they do hire many different crews for overlapping projects. The crew that worked on our project was different from our neighbors. At one point, this crew broke a sewer line running through our property. This crew never notified me and actually discarded the broken pipe pieces. If I didn't find the mistake myself that evening, this could have been a big problem down the line - possibly leaking underneath the foundation of our house. I had to have plumbers come out and patch immediately. Also, our estimate did go up about 10% since we waited a few months before they took the job. I would only recommend Ace in NELA for hillside projects as other contractors failed to get the job done. Big thanks to Eric and Paul. read more

I was very happy with the service I received from Ace Demolition. We had them remove a hedge and gate from our property. A fairly small job but it was the final resolution of a property line dispute so it needed to be handled carefully and professionally. Robert and his crew did this as well as I could have hoped for. They removed all of the encroachments carefully and efficiently knowing that they would be under scrutiny while working. Throughout the process they company was quick to respond and understood what was needed. The job was reasonably priced as well. I wholeheartedly recommend Ace Demolition! read more

I recently hired Ace Demolition to demo our backyard. We had a giant planter box made out of bricks that sat on top of a concrete patio. We decided that we wanted to rip out the planter box and concrete so we can put in grass. I was little nervous about demoing the backyard not knowing how it would turn out. Eric and Paul were so great during the entire process! They quoted us a fair price and we booked right away. The crew was 100% professional, very nice, and the results exceeded our expectations!! They were able to break down the concrete very easily. They prepped and smoothed the dirt that was underneath, getting it ready for use to plant grass! We were impressed with the work and will definitely call on Ace Demolition again when if we have another demo project! Hire this team you will not be disappointed! read more

I had a wonderful experience with Ace Demolition; I particularly appreciated the high degree of professionalism at every level of the job. The combination of excellent communication from Robert in the field and Paul in the office made me confident the job would be handled expertly and on time, and that is what happened. The site was left clean and neat--a great bonus. Very happy! read more

I needed to remove large concrete pavers from my backyard to install artificial turf. It was tough mostly cause the backyard is sunken down about 20 steps. Ace Demo - Paul, Robert, the whole team - were amazing. They gave me a virtual quote, kept in regular communication, showed up right on time, and finished the job at a competitive rate in about 4 hrs. (Another company quoted me 1500 more and said it might take several days). Not only did they do an incredibly thorough job (the clean up was amazing), they were so polite and friendly and just really nice people. Can't recommend them enough! read more

I reached out to Ace Demolition about tearing down an unused, cinder block based horse stable. Paul was very quick to respond and set up a day for Robert to come take a look at the project site. Robert was very friendly & informative, and asked questions about the job that no other contractor had. They seemed to be genuinely interested in the job & what I wanted from it. They came back a few days later with a very reasonable quote, and I was sold. The team they brought out was also very friendly, and worked quickly. After 2 short days, the job was finished. Would hire again. read more

Fair pricing and careful work. Robert did an excellent job making sure the team knew which areas to demo and how careful to be. Then Andy did an A+ job managing the crew (and putting in a ton of hard hours himself) each day. Hats off to Mac, Greg, Dave on the team as well. Would recommend Ace Demo. read more

I have had a mixture of experiences with previous construction companies including demolition and general contract. I was ready to move forward with another company from yelp that had more 5 star reviews but decided to get a quote from 2 more companies. I called Ace Demo and a man named Paul answered, sent me a quote through email and said his boss would need to see to verify although he had the photos. Normally, when they said that they hike up the price. THEY DID NOT. Erik, the owner came a day later to see the project and quoted me the same price. This was Thursday. He said he would get the guys in 7:30-8:00 AM on Monday morning. 7:40 AM his team was here ready to work. By 9:15 AM they had taken down a 280 sq ft shed/bard. THEY EVEN KEPT MY PLANTS ALIVE that were leaning against the barn. They are currently still removing the items by hand but they had a small enough machine to demolish it. The other companies that quoted me did not. Erik said this may take 2 days, but they're almost done so tomorrow will probably just be clean up. ANOTHER NOTE: they laid plywood on my turf so they would leave marks or ruin it when the wheelbarrows and the machines we're going back and forth. Cleanliness and Timeliness. This is a rare quality to find. Thanks Ace Demolition! My ADUs will be done by you guys a read more

I hired Ace Demo to do a partial removal and fill of my existing pool and pretty much the entire backyard concrete surrounding the pool. Pool was only 16-18 years old but had some major structural issues and took up 90% of our 1000sf back yard. Having 2 small girls we needed more space for them to play and for our house to fit our growing needs. I found Ace Demo online and read the many positive reviews and decided to give them a call. They responded quickly and stopped by within a few days, provided me with a proposal listing everything that was included etc. I decided to get one more local price from another demo company specializing in pool removal too. Needless to say that price came back 50% higher. I decided then to go with Ace after a few weeks of sitting on it since it was such a big decision. Not many people remove pools but Ace Demo definitely knows how to handle the process and showed up as promised with Daily updates from Paul. After a free weeks all was complete and I had a big dirt lot again to start from scratch. Everyone was professional, polite and responsive especially liked the communication with Paul. i would definitely recommend them from both a price and quality stand point. read more

My experience with having my pool and the surrounding concrete completely removed was 100% positive. All work was permitted, by the book, and completed with consummate professionalism. The team hauled off the concrete and hauled in the fill dirt despite the very narrow entry, and nothing whatsoever was damaged in the process. Paul, the company liaison, was always immediately responsive, and Omar, the supervisor, was informative and reliable. The operation was smooth and drama-free. I can now move forward with designing and installing a garden where a pool used to be, with the confidence that the removal and fill-in were done correctly and legally. The cost was steep, but honestly, I did my homework and didn't find anything cheaper, so on a relative scale, the price was reasonable. read more

ACE removed our 600 cubic yard swimming pool. Big job, big mess, but they made the process easy and did a fantastic job preserving our concrete decking. The proposal was straight forward and extremely competitive in price. No unreasonable contingencies! A positive sign of a good contractor will have a great relationship with the city when you pull a permit (they did)! While, I rarely have a need to hire demo contractors outside of using a general, I would hire ACE again without hesitation. Great crew, in the field and in the office. Thanks guys! read more

We used Ace Demolition last year when we were doing a remodel. This time we needed to have a section of concrete removed. My interaction was with Paul. He was so responsive with his estimate. In fact he had to send Robert out twice for another estimate because we changed the amount of concrete removal. Robert was just great. They came out this morning and completed the job in about three hours. The crew was so nice and took such good care of everything. They had to hand carry the concrete out of our townhome. I can't say enough about this company and would use them anytime we needed any demolition work. read more

After weighing the pros and cons about getting rid of my pool, I decided to hire ACE Demolition and I am very glad that I did. The deciding factor over another demolition company was human kindness which is exactly what ACE Demolition's Contractor Eric and Office Manager Paul severed up on a silver platter with every interaction. WOW! This experience was a breath of fresh air because one does not come across a company like this every day or every other day. Both Eric and Paul provided open communication at every phase of the project, sincerity, dedication and above all again, human kindness. Eric's and Paul's best traits above all are respect and patience! What more can a person ask for? Given those characteristics I knew by the middle of my pool demolition project that I had made the right decision by choosing ACE Demolition over another company and that made me feel confident and secure with my decision. Eric is a team player as he even told me he does not mind receiving text messages 24/7 which was such plus given that I work a lot another words, I can work around my schedule to communicate with him. Paul is also a team player especially if Eric was busy as Paul would reach out to me and assure me that Eric will follow up with me very soon with my questions and Paul's words always came true 100% of the time! One of Eric's employees his name is Danny kept reminding me with a great big smile that he will always treat my home as if it was his home. That was very touching! So, what are you waiting for? Need a Demolition company that is caring, compassionate, respectful and above all honest with years of experience, ACE Demolition is the one that you want to investigate. I want to also give a shout out to all of the ACE Demolition crew/staff thank you for making sure all was well each and every day. Eric and Paul, I am forever grateful to you both! ACE Demolition met all my request in fact went beyond my expectations. I was never let down. Thank you ACE Demolition. read more

I am a Yelp believer After reading all the positive reviews, I decided to go with Ace to cover my pool. Eric gave us the quote. He told us the project would be completed within a week It took them almost three weeks until all was complete, with a fence left open until then. According to the reviews, we were to expect that the boss would be informing us regarding the progress of the project, but he was MIA throughout. He sub-contracted the project to another company with Ace only pursuing the permit. Two men showed up on a Friday, and I understood that they were supposed to build the ramp for the bobcat and a dirt path to the pool. But, Instead of ordering the 2 loads of dirt to build the ramp, they ordered at least 10 loads and left the dirt blocking half my driveway and half the street, with little being used until Monday. Luckily, my son is in construction and he put two cone around the dirt pile, as the contractor did not. On Saturday, four men showed up and they did a good job of breaking up the pool but did not need the huge pile of dirt. My concern was, however, that they were unsupervised and not using the safety equipment, hard hats or safety glasses. One man cut rebar with a torch, using his knee as a workspace. On Monday, two men arrived and started filling the pool with dirt. They did a good job covering the pool and It took about them a week. It took them another week to repair the gate. Luckily we are retired and we were able to keep our two large dogs in the house. I can imagine this being a bigger issue if we had to go to work. read more

I'm in the process of converting the detached garage at a duplex I own which had a 50+ year old pool that needed resurfacing, the concrete decking around it had all lifted from large tree roots and the maintenance was getting annoying since nobody used the pool. Not to mention, the liability as it will now be a triplex occupied with renters. I called Ace Demo, Eric came out and evaluated the work that needed to be done. He sent me a proposal very quickly which I showed to may contractor friends and all thought his quote was beyond fair. Well, with my trusted contractors giving me confidence, all the great reviews here on Yelp and most importantly, my gut instinct after meeting Eric, I moved forward with the project. They were great, from start to finish. They made sure I was satisfied with the height of the grade before completion. His crew worked very hard and cleaned up nicely when they were done. What I really appreciated was that Eric stuck to his proposal, never came back and with any bullsh*t charges here and there. He even had his guys go above and beyond what was proposed. I spent quite some time watching that bobcat work, very skilled operators. Anyways, I was so happy with the outcome, I had Eric come back to give me a proposal to demo my driveway and the very uneven slab in the detached garage that I will be converting to an ADU. Thanks again Eric and your crew at Ace. read more

I am very pleased with my experience with this company. They did a demolition on my 55 year old backyard in-ground swimming pool. Owner responded to my estimate request with onsite thorough inspection, consideration of my needs and concerns, provided education and explanation, and a knowledgeable experienced written estimate. They beat 6 other estimates with very inclusive and detailed offer. They lived up to everything and did it all with skill and care. All workers were excellent. The complicated permit and inspection processes were handled by their office (Paul was diligent and expert in this area). My backyard had very tight access that none of the others wanted to touch without much higher cost of doing it by hand (wheel barrows). These guy handled it with ease and extreme care. They did a great cleanup job and made sure my property was left as they found it , only better. Ready for landscaping a big new backyard. No more "outdated safety hazard money sink". I haven't actually contracted them yet but they were very personable and very professional. I've been waiting to close on my house so that I can hire them. When you're doing anything in construction, it pays to use a professional who is focused on one area.
