It's easy to judge a company when things go well... in my case, things didn't go well and that's what differentiates good companies from bad companies. We moved into a new 2 story home and needed to do the entire home. After meeting with 5 companies, Nick, the owner, really sold us and we went for it. We did LVP in the entire home. IT was scheduled in less than a week and only took them 3 days to install!! So maybe the speed is where the issues happened. The overall look of the home looked great. But the installers missed a couple of details. First... they forgot to vacuum some areas so there was a little hill in some areas. Also, by the shower and tubs... the floors felt like they were sinking. Nick responded quickly and sent back the installers to fix. They came 2 times and actually made the floor worse! But Nick wanted me to be 100% satisfied and finally sent in another team led by Jose who was so nice and professional. He told me exactly what he was going to do. HE said the only way to make this right, was to uninstall half the room and REDO it. WEll... it happened that the material they had wasn't in stock so I had to wait. When the material came in, he redid it. Also, he added some extra glue to the shower area and said you have to re-inforce those areas when installing floor. I imagine the first crew was working so fast, that it was hard to do detailed work like that. Anyway. Jose saved the day and Nick was really great to work with. Things aren't going to be perfect, but it's good when a company makes things right as they understand the power of word of mouth! Great job in running a company SCV Floorsmith!! read more

Jose is an expert - his title is stain master - and he lives up to it. A neighbor recommended Jose for the hardwood floors. Jose is as hard a worker as his two assistants, and keeps the process moving along efficiently. He's also a problem solver who engages with the customer in any issue that arises. He's very proud of his 'tools', machines that minimize the dust: we marveled that there seemed to be little or no dust, due in large part to the quality machinery he uses. These guys knocked it out of the park for us. Our place was built in 2013 and we wanted to extend the hardwood floors throughout the downstairs into our first floor bedroom. The floor was discontinued so it took some work to hunt down on my part, but once I had it these guys were able to install within a week or two. They took extra care to ensure the transition from the old floor to the new looked good and any minor color shifts were minimized.
