Wonderful!!! Excellent menu, bar and staff!! Not to mention the beautiful location and scenery!

It was my first time coming here I was pretty excited ordering the spicy calamari by it self for $15 (was thinking with that price you would get a decent amount of calamari) end up having more tartar sauce than the calamari itself with a big lemon wedge underneath the calamari. (Didn't fell good spending $15) I was so disappointed on how much I spent for this spicy calamari by it self. With $4 more I could have gotten a prime rib meal or $2 more the verity of different seafood not including the calamari. I watch the news and there's so many of these kind of businesses around the area closing down because of the virus. I'm guessing they give customers a little amount of seafood for an expensive price to survive I hope some day they could have at least French fries included with this. This is a very popular place and many people come here for drinks and food. We came at their busiest time and they still held the house together. Their staff formed a good team and even though we had to wait a bit - they made a very good impression. Food was amazing. Had a honey mustard salad and seafood platter. Very satisfying dishes and tasted nice. Order fries! They came very fast, so if you are hangry - definitely recommend. Overall - a nice place to hang out. At 6 o'clock it's very loud for "romantic" or "got together with my introverted friend for a dinner" more like "let's grab a beer and eat a burger". Bonus: "Great fried food!" (c) Husband. read more

Have been here a few times in the last few months as we recently moved here. Yesterday 11/29 the service was really bad. To start with me and my husband were waiting for a table to open and the hostess brought another table of 2 before that had just walked in. We went to order drinks and the waitress disappeared with my ID and when she came back with tried saying it was to verify out of state IDs but then she didn't verify my husbands ID and it has never happened any other time we have been here and we order alcoholic beverages every time. In spite of the mask mandates (20-03.4) by the State of Washington Secretary of Health and the state Department of Labor and Industry, about a third of the staff were not wearing masks inside the restaurant. When asked by a patron why, they explained that the manager allows them to choose for themselves whether or not to wear a mask Our server, when asked to please wear a mask, refused. When I asked to see the manager, I was told I could call him the next day. If the staff are given license to ignore public health regulations, it makes me wonder what other practices they ignore. read more

We decided to try Scuttlebutt's tonight for dinner and invited our daughter to come along since her birthday was coming. We all had to ware masks until we were seated which didn't take long. Being Saturday night they were pretty busy but we got drinks and appetizer ordered quickly when they arrived our server didn't get our main dishes until we flagged him down like I said busy night. So I had ordered some of the steamer clams, my wife hit a cup of their clam chowder and she shared a popcorn shrimp basket with my daughter. Now my clams were ok the broth was a little bland though. My wife finished her chowder quickly so it must've been good, the popcorn shrimp were ok frozen and deep fried, standard nothing fancy. Our main courses arrived, my daughter chose the cedar plank salmon, my wife got the garlic chicken and I went with the ribeye. I had asked for medium rare and I got a medium done steak oh well not the end of the world. It tasted fine I really liked the potatoes lots of cheese with a slight hint of horseradish. I'm not a fan of broccoli so my daughter and wife got to share mine. I got to try the chicken the my wife ordered and it was nice and juicy and tender, I would order it in the future. Also my daughters salmon looked appealing, maybe a little over cooked, I'm a salmon snob and prefer my salmon medium done, but she enjoyed it. So overall it was a good dinner a couple of minor things that kept the review from getting more stars. read more

Food is yummy and they have a little mini book of beers to choose from. I was at Scuttlebutt for a birthday get together so we had a variety of different food and drinks on our table. I got the prime rib (only available on Friday/Saturday) and a Beer Mary. I liked the Beer Mary because you get to choose what beer you want and of course it comes with peppered vodka. The prime rib was excellent and juicy, so it was quite enjoyable. My friend got chili cheese fries and they were ok. My other friend got some sriracha cod bites which was served with sweet chili sauce, oh and we got a side of ranch to dip them in as well. These were actually pretty tasty! read more

Like the set up, good seating & tvs for watching games. I liked the beer and the service was above average. The food was not great - started with some onion rings which were pretty good and I would get again but the mains not so much. Had a rueben that was maybe a 6/10 being generous - the meat was pretty sad & bread wasnt toasted enough. Wife had some kind of chicken sandwhich that was super sloppy yet chicken was dry. Was not good. We only ate half of each even though we were pretty hungry. Fries were like Dicks but super salty. If I go again would try just a cheeseburger with onion rings. read more

This was our first time at Scuttlebutt and definitely not our last! The restaurant came highly recommended by a local friend. The food was incredible, especially the holiday special Pesto Butternut Squash Ravioli and the Gingerbread Crème Brulee. Special mention for his noteworthy service, Rigo not only anticipated and delivered Apps, entrees, and dessert perfectly, but did it with an unexpected level of excellence. The worst experience ever. We were visiting Everett before going to Vancouver. I don't know if it was the restaurant as well as our server. He was tending the bar as well as serving tables by the bar. It took over 30 minutes to receive our food. My husband bun was stale on his burger. PrePandemic, this place is always bustling and crowded, during most of its hours. its for good reasons. they have Mid-range priced food, seafood, and general 'American' food, bottomless root beer, and for beer drinkers, a plethora of choices of their inhouse brew. I am not one for loud crowded places, but for family meals, with extended family, it has worked out ever since they moved to their Port of Everett building location. Currently, they have seemed to manage through pandemic fairly well, but we have seen many folks, not actually dining, but mingling and no masks all around. If you have a bunch of family elderly and with health issuers, we just EAT AT BOAT RAMP!!! sometimes they had the outside open, but now, obviously it will be rare since Fall. For battered/fried fish/cod/halibut, this place really does have it down, and when i used to drink beers, their beers were EXCELLENT - and now, they have SO MANY MORE TYPES!!!! read more

Sold place for lunch or dinner. Pretty standard fair with some nice cocktails and obviously a lot of different beers on tap. The main thing I like about this place is down on the water and it's pet friendly on the patio they'll even bring you a doggy bowl of water if your puppy is thirsty. read more

This is our first review after moving back to the PNW. We sat outside for an early dinner and even though it was over 80 degrees the breeze off the water was cool. My advice is to bring a sweater even if it's hot! The service was great, the cocktails came out a little slow because the bartender was backed up but it wasn't our waiter's fault. The food was good except for the Reuben was on sourdough not rye which was a disappointment but our fault because the menu clearly states it was on sourdough. The fish and chips were good, the tacos were ok and the Caesar salad with the blackened salmon was also good. We would visit again but just for cocktails and appetizers. The food seemed expensive for what we had. Oh! And skip the espresso martini, the coffee isn't very good. read more

Scuttlebutt is a large, family-friendly restaurant located on the Everett waterfront with typical pub fare. I have been to Scuttlebutt many times - it's a staple in Everett, on the waterfront, and somewhere I bring out-of-towners who are not adventurous eaters. The restaurant is large, the service is always friendly, and there's a large menu that's not super healthy but definitely kicks your craving curbs. To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of the beer they serve at the restaurant (I prefer the more oft rotated selection at their tap room), but it'll hit the spot for a simple beer. Most recently, we went and ate on the patio (I had my dog with me - their patio is very dog friendly). They didn't have a server available, so told us that we would have to order inside and come back in for anything else. No problem! We could even order drinks -- they brought us our drinks and food (it's not like we had to wait inside for them - so they basically still 'served' us without checking on us). We got nachos - basic and gluttonous, and I went for a bloody Mary. All good and exactly what we were looking for when we decided to grab a drink and an app. All in all, you won't be blown away by the food, but if you want a solid, not expensive, dinner (maybe with a large party or family) - Scuttlebutt is a great choice. read more

I'm not sure what's happening with Scuttlebutt. My husband and I used to visit regularly. The last few times the wait times for food have been unrealistic. A few weeks ago I called for a to-go order and they said they were not taking to-go orders as they were short staffed in the kitchen. I asked if there was a wait for a table to dine in and was told there was no wait but it would be at least an hour to get food. We chose to dine elsewhere. Today I called for a to-go order and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrived to pick up the order and was told it would be about 5 more minutes. I went to the car and came back and was told it would be a few more minutes as they had a fryer that was down. I waited another 10 minutes and was told it would still be a few more minutes as only half of the grill was working so they had to cook everyone's food on half a grill. I chose to cancel my to-go order and dine elsewhere. The girl at the hostess desk was very understanding and checked on my order frequently. The manager seemed unaffected at my cancellation and did not even offer an apology. They were busy and as I was leaving they were quoting 30 minutes wait time for a table. I would guess that they don't really care about losing business as they continue to be busy. It's sad because the food is good (when you can get it), they serve great beer, and it has been a waterfront staple in the Everett area. We will miss dining here. read more

Went here a couple weekends ago to watch the husky game. They only had it playing in the bar area, and had other games playing on the other tvs. We asked to be seated in the bar, but were told we'd have to wait, even though the bar was half full. The entire restaurant was only half full, but we sat for five minutes waiting, while the hostess and a server had a conversation. We finally left to eat somewhere else. No customer service here, look elsewhere. read more

My significant other and I went out for my birthday tonight. We originally had reservations elsewhere, but after reading the owner's responses to reviews we were really turned off and looked for somewhere else to go a bit last minute. We decided we wanted something easy breezy and casual and came here. Once we arrived we were told the wait was 45 minutes which really was no surprise on a beautiful day (I am tried to called earlier to make reservations but couldn't get a hold of anybody...upon arrival and acknowledging the beautiful day and the NCAA playoffs...they probably couldn't even hear the phone, so no hate there). Once we were seated our server was so friendly and attentive, out drinks and appetizers came quick as did our food. Everything was perfectly cooked (we had a lot of seafood and everything was perfect and delicious, not overcooked or rubbery,etc.) Absolutely delicious, quick and wonderful service in the midst of chaos and plentiful portions. The ONLY thing I would have suggested was once we were seated we saw many open spots at the bar top. When we put our names in, they asked if we were over 21 and I wish they would have let us know that there was availability to sit at the bar. We likely would have had a few drinks and gotten a couple appetizers waiting for a table. Aside from that... fantastic. This will be our new go-to. read more

This is as great place for lunch or dinner. Walked in on whim. So glad we did. Seafood platter was excellent and the tarter sauce delicious. However, the New England clam chowder was super delicious. Put this together with a great family atmosphere, and very nice staff, makes it worth coming back. Our server Emma was great and added to the whole great experience. This use to be our favorite place to have a light dinner and some beers to unwind for the week we have moved so it was harder for us to make it in as often but stopping in for a dinner the other night and it was a Saturday so busier which is expected but we are a family of 4 so we knew we would wait a minute totally fine - but once we got our food we ordered it's as if someone had taken over the restaurant or kitchen staff or something and was a completely different company or cooks to say the least , my kids ordered frys and chicken strips came out cold as ever and the frys were just plane McDonald's under cooked frys or under heated or something and soggy and not a "skuttlebutt" type of food item we would expect usually there frys are actually more of a breaded or crunchy type fry and taste way better than what they serve now , my kids chicken strips came out to the table cold as if they didn't even get cooked or again heated however they do it. My husband ordered fettuccine Alfredo ..... this is the worst of all he received the plate and it was definitely just heated up and served with store bought bottle Alfredo sauce not the typical meal you would want to order at a "American food restaurant " but if your going to serve and have that on the menu at least try and make it taste ok for people to eat that was hands down one of the worst fettuccines I've ever tasted ! And the noodles were again lightly warmed up not good. My meal for the most part was actually alright I ordered there chicken sandwich and it out of all the meals tasted ok but again we have been here plenty of times and a reoccurring family that has even done many private birthday rooms there and have spent a nice amount on there food / beer and it's just disappointing to see such potential there and to go downhill so quickly I have other friends who have said the same in the past few months and they won't be going back ever or at least till it gets fixed - however service as always was amazing ! Keep up the good work there ! But ya food is not there strong suit and was in the past years we have been going - sad but again we won't be coming back ever or until things change. I was reallly excited to check this place out, and after looking at their menu, I thought it was going to be amazing.......but it wasn't. The menu has a great variety of options and thought anything on it would likely be delicious. I ordered a Hefeweizen, and they don't have orange slices - that was a huge bummer. I had the cod fish & chips, and wasn't thrilled. Flavorless, fried pieces of frozen chucks was what it was. The fried were okay, not great. The service was slow, but our server Scott was very nice and kept apologizing. However, we had to ask him twice if he could take our order, twice for utensils, and my friend asked him to suggest a full flavored IPA, and brought her the lightest blonde IPA ‍ The food isn't the greatest. Probably the worst service I've had in a while. Two other tables sat after us received a greet, drinks and and order taken before we were even greeted. The server, that we caught, who's shift was almost over definitely saved the day. However, the server that took over never even apologized for the "miss communication." The Ruben sandwich is a total failure, barely edible due to the bread being so hard/over toasted. Would not return here or recommend it to anyone in the near future. read more
