Delicious dinner at Scutra! I ordered the Caesar salad, Mussels (garlic white wine), and Fries. Others at the table ordered the flank steak and short rib ragu - all delicious. I went on a Friday night after the holiday and it was lively but tame. Everyone on the restaurant looked like they were having a great time. The food tasted fresh - so many great options on the menu it was hard to choose! Our waiter was incredibly friendly and attentive to our table. Great ambiance for a cozy dinner as a couple or a group of friends. There is also a bar that you can eat at to

Excellent food and drink, charming atmosphere and kind staff. Everything came out very quickly and our bartender Brian was able to answer all our questions. I think the bar is great for a first date as the dining areas are a bit noisy for me. We stopped by before heading to a show at the nearby Arlington Friends Theater. I don't think you can go wrong with this menu! My guest and I shared dinner tapas-style and got bread service (not complementary), the artichokes and zucchini blossoms appetizers. I sipped a perfect red sangria, he had the Run Rummer and a mojito that he was blown away by. We were very satisfied and found everything reasonably priced for the quality. This place definitely lives up to its name for European dining.

We had such a great dinner on a Friday night at Scutra! The service was incredible, our server told us about the restaurant and how its family owned, has a changing menu for seasonality and about their outdoor patio for when it gets nice out. The drinks were great (Festivus Marg and Amaretto Sour) and the food was even better! We ordered the Poke Nachos for an appetizer and the presentation was so beautiful. Our entrees were huge and delicious. The Homemade Rigatoni Bolognese had such a tasty sauce and perfect texture pasta. The Duo of Filet Wrapped in Bacon was cooked to perfection. We can't wait to come back and try more!

Came here to have dinner with family, had a lovely time. We each ordered an entree and shared two desserts. Everything was very delicious. The short ribs were so soft and tender. Definitely recommend them! We were all soo full after. We got bread for the table which was great as well. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Had a great time, thanks!

Ended up at Scutra this weekend, as it was close to an event we went to. The service, drinks, and restaurant in general was incredible. That said, the food was absolutely next level. I went with a party of 4, and was able to try everyone's appetizers, entrees, and desserts and ever single one was unreal. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

The food is always excellent. The staff is great. Love to sit at the bar (when the other regulars aren't hogging all the seats!). Tonight was escargot (so good I forgot to take a picture) and a veal chop. My wife loves the beat salad (yuck for me!) and pot stickers.

I like short rib and bread so much. Beef Wellington is normal but when you compare with the price, it's cheap. The service is great.

I ordered from the Holiday menu to cook at home on Christmas Day. The Beef Wellington was delicious and the Lobster Bisque, best I ever ate.

I have a shellfish allergy, how do they deal with it?

It shouldn't be a problem. Maybe call ahead and speak with the chef, Didier and ask if he can accommodate.

Yummy yummy pasta night!…read more My bf surprised me by bringing me to this nice and cozy Italian restaurant in Arlington heights on Saturday night. It wasn't too busy so we were lucky to get a table. They only have a few tables so making a reservation would be a good idea. Soon after we were seated people started showing up and the tables were starting to fill up. We were served complimentary bread and olive oil which was very good while we decided on our dish. They had a few specials that were not on the menu and sounded delicious but we decided to try their shrimp pasta and their chicken cacciatore. We also ordered the house Nina salad which had delicious pears and a light and tangy vinaigrette dressing. The waiter was very nice and I also think he was the cook since you could see into the kitchen and there were only two people behind the counter. Our pasta dishes came out nice and hot and we quickly devoured them. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the shrimp were nice and juicy and fully peeled. The shrimp pasta had a nice lemony and tangy flavor and there was plenty of sauce. The chicken cacciatore was also very good. The chicken was nice and tender and the pasta was super flavorful. They were even kind enough to bring us more bread so we could finish our sauces! We will definitely be back!

Yelp gives this place four stars…read more I give this place four stars. I give Northender's category five stars. Northender is just like 380 places all over the Boston Area. And I love them all. * * * Northender is an East Coast Sub Shop. Sub shops have pizza too. Pizza is good all over the country. Subs are NOT good all over the country. They are usually only good only in the Northeast. Sub shops in Texas are godawful. Sub shops in Michigan and Wisconsin are no great shakes. So when I go to Boston or Connecticut or Rhode Island or -Hallelujah - Philadelphia ... I go out of my way to get at least one real deal sub. One real deal sub and I am happy. If on two days, I can get two real deal subs, I am twice as happy. * * * Most East Coast sub shops are fine. There may be some place that has legendary three standard deviations above the mean subs. I have yet to find one. There is probably a tail end of terrible East Coast sub shops at the bottom end of the distribution. If I have eaten at one, I have repressed the memory. * * * The Northender is controversial. Some Yelpers hate it. Others love it. My local hosts love it. What I had is outstanding. So I am proudly in the pro-Northender camp. Because sub shops also do pizzas and Italian main dish entrees - there may or may not be issues with the other two thirds of the menu. But on subs - these folks are just fine and dandy. I had a meatball parmigiana sub. Those are always good. Even mediocre places in Texas with their cold cuts coming straight from Sysco can sometimes manage a decent meatball sub. * * * Northender lets you get hot grilled green peppers on your meatball sub. Texas has never heard of such a thing. Hot grilled green peppers on any kind of a parmigiana sub? Take plug. Insert into electric socket. All the lights come on. I was bright and shiny for the rest of the day. (And that rest of the day involved a long and miserable trip through Logan airport. I needed that sub as a bright spot on a day that was going to be dreariness up the snoot.) * * * Are the subs in Arlington better or worse than the subs in Lexington, or in Dedham, or in Marblehead or in Southie? I really couldn't tell you. But certain pleasures are like chocolate. They are good unless they are proven otherwise. * * * How are Northenders salads, or the lasagnas of the day or their house special pizza? I have no idea. But just keep those sub sandwiches coming. I am with ya, Northender.

As someone who loves dining out--and who's Italian and has been fortunate enough to visit Italy…read moremany times--this was the meal of the year. I honestly can't think of another restaurant that captures the essence of Northern Italian cuisine at this level. Every single dish we ordered was exceptional. My advice: go family-style so you can share and experience as much of the menu as possible. The tortellini was outstanding, the pasta with the brandy cream sauce was unforgettable, and the short rib was absolutely phenomenal. Not a single dish missed, and there wasn't one thing we wouldn't order again. To top it all off, the chef came over to our table at the end of the meal to say hello--a thoughtful touch that made an already incredible experience even more memorable. I would put this restaurant up against anything I've had in Italy, and without question, it's the best Italian restaurant in the Boston area. The most surprising part? It's in Woburn, not the North End. 10/10. An unforgettable dining experience

Short rib with risotto also not hot, and I suspect was microwaved after a service snafu. Beep beep. I tried their Prex Fixe lunch menu for just $22 and I felt like I was robbing the place. You get a salad, pasta and choice of dessert. I went with the Caesar, bolognese, and donut holes (zeppole). My bartender, Alexis, made the best recommendations, a great conversationalist, and was quick to the punch when my beer was running low. The bread spread started out HOT. Came out warm with red pepper flakes, parmigiana, and pure olive oil. I poured that cheese right in the oil with 2 spoons of peppers to dip that delicious, airy focaccia into. The salad was perfectly dressed with a bread crumb and bacon topping with your choice of anchovy on top. I'd highly recommend if you're hesitant, nice and vinegary and not too salty nor fishy. Came with a pepperoncini on the side as well. Bolognese sauce was rich, a tad creamy, with delicious meat you can actually taste and see! Some bigger chunks of meat made me feel special and not what I'm used to in a bolognese, but definitely not complaining. Make sure to have any bread left handy to scoop that last little sauce up with. Last but certainly not least, holy moly those Zeppole! Words can't describe how good these are. Crisp outside with a fluffy inside made my dreams come true. The dip was like a coconut whipped cream/ meringue. Whole thing was money bags, yo.
