I was at the Event Center and thought I give this place a try, and so glad I did. I ordered the pastrami sandwich, and it was incredible, the amount of meat that I got was 3" thick. It was juicy and tender. Just the right amount of seasoning and the bread was spot on. My friend ordered the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich and it was just as good as Geno and Pats in Philly. I had no idea this place was even here. I have probably driven right by, and had no idea. I tagged along with my guy to meet our friend for lunch today, I am glad I did. I wasn't sure what to order, because I came on an empty stomach, and every looked, and sounded good. We asked what was good, and we were told you can't go wrong with pretty much anything you order. So that made it even harder. I finally decided on the club grinder. My guy had the Italian, and our friend got his usual pastrami. Our friend ordered the Anaheim peppers before we got there, and they came out after we showed up. They were pretty impressive. They did have arugula on them, and I am usually not a fan of it, but it was actually not bad with the peppers, and what ever else was on it. Sorry no pic. I was too hungry. Next time I would like to get the caprese appetizer. My sandwich was super large, and very delicious. This guy really knows how to make a sandwich. The rest of my crew had sandwich made into a salad. One friend didn't like his pastrami sandwich salad, he expected veggies on his salad and all he got was lettuce, pastrami and a little cheese. He was not happy. So, I was leaving Portland on the Amtrak headed south and forgot to eat. I knew the train had a 10 min stop in Eugene so I ordered one their Italian Sandwiches to be delivered by a courier service. The food at this place is so good. We got the turkey melt and meatball sandwich and they we perfect. The bread is really good. Their cocktails are strong and they have a good variety of beers. It's definitely a hole in the wall and the back patio area is small, but kind of enchanting. There is a little fountain in the corner and some pretty foliage. Came here to try their French Dip sandwich as I've heard that it's one of the best in town. Made an order over the phone and was told 25 minutes.
