I have eaten at scrambles a few times. Food is usually fresh. They are open for breakfast and lunch. Today the food was just ok. I ordered an omelette that had jalapenos , tomatoes, cheese etc. I had to ask for extra cheese because it hardly had any and it came with sausage and I ask them no sausage but there were a couple pieces in it? I have to say that since we have discovered Scrambles , we have given up cooking . We have had many family meals at Scrambles and I believe I have the MENU now memorized , having tried just about every thing on it but when it comes to the Garden Delight Omelet with the sour cream on the side .... MAKE MINE A DOUBLE SOUR CREAM . For those that crave meat with you breakfast or lunch just order a side of the best prepared bacon the way you like. I prefer mine nice an crisp . This morning our Server " RYAN R. told us that they had added Tater Tots to the menu and they arrived hot , crisp and fresh . But I'm a down home boy that still love my grits and they make the best . FIRST...HAPPY 10TH ANNIVERSARY SCRAMBLES!!!! i came here while visiting Ocala. This place is too cute. It's SUPER clean and the staff are very friendly. I had the cinammon swirl french toast and boy was it good!!! Actually, i think our entire table had it. Anyways, my grandmother and her friend come here frequently and they absolutely love it! Good service and good food. It did take close to 45 minutes for the food to be served. I do realize that it was Sunday and they were busy but I think they should be prepared. I ordered the Triple Crown and it was what I expected. Nothing extraordinary. But good. However I will come back and give it another try. read more

Only at best an average location. Maybe the quality of the food was affected in the kitchen by how busy they were. Once seated service was excellent but the food let them down. Ordered a breakfast meal with hash and "fried" potatoes. The hash looked and tasted like the stuff that comes out of a can at the grocery store. The fried potatoes tasted like they had been boiled but never seen a grill. Will not be returning. read more

This place is AwEsOmE. From the minute I walked in to meet my coworker this morning until we left there wasn't one person not smiling. The waitresses were extremely pleasant and the food was incredible. Will definitely be stopping here quite often as we're expanding to their area! Ever since Scrambles was recommended to us, we can't get enough. The food is great and they have excellent customer service! While I've tried many items on their menu and have never been disappointed, my favorite are their pancakes!! My husband always raves about their perfectly cooked grits, and also loves their biscuits. This restaurant is VERY family friendly and always makes us feel so comfortable coming in with our young son. I NEVER give 5 stars but they are well deserved here! Great food and extremely friendly service. I love fresh fruit with breakfast but it is hard to find. The crepes are filled with fresh fruit and topped with yogurt and granola. My daughters had pancakes and waffles and both were excellent. My husband had the Love Boat (egg white omelette with fresh spinach, mushrooms, and tomato topped with cheese). Wow!!! Can't say enough about this restaurant!!!! read more

Stopped for breakfast on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. Wife and I were seated quickly with menus and our drinks arrived in timely fashion. However, our waitress was too busy to take our order at that time. There was no one at the cash register, so she filled in there. Then she had to seat other people. Then she disappeared in the kitchen for a while. After sitting there for another 10 minutes I was about ready to walk out. Then finally had our order taken. Our service did improve during the duration of our breakfast, but after the start we had can't give it high grades although initial problem probably more due to inept management rather than our server. Here's the scoop on the food: 1. Both our egg dishes came out hot and were very tasty 2. Bacon had lots of flavor 3. Breakfast potatoes were supposed to have been "grilled". Looks like they were par boiled first, which is a correct way to get them started. However, they showed very little evidence of ever touching the grill and half of them were not cooked through. 4. Grits - I don't eat them. Wife loves them and she said these were excellent and served with a large pat of melting butter in the middle like they should be. 5. Biscuit - I thought it was very good. Light and served warm. Very fresh. 6. Coffee -- Okay -- here's the kicker and why I can't give it more than two stars, because even with some of the issues, might be worth an extra star or another trip back to give them another chance. I love coffee. Drink a lot of it. Drink it black & no sugar either. The coffee was weak and tasteless. read more

Won't be going back. Observe the waitresses as they handle your food and the coffee decanters, and you'll quickly realize one of our reasons for writing this place off. The other reason: We don't appreciate being gossiped about and called names (especially within ear shot). We are the easiest customers that don't demand or expect much, and we ALWAYS tip EXCEPTIONALLY WELL. They will not experience our business in the future. If asked, I will openly tell others about what we encountered because it was one thing to be served food in unclean dishware, but to be turned into gossip fodder on more than one occasion as a result of kindly asking for a new cup of coffee that doesn't have food particles and lipstick on it, is completely unacceptable. read more

I heard good reviews about this place so today I changed up the family routine for Saturday Breakfast and tried something new. The service was slow. We sat for almost 40 minutes waiting for our order and when the food came out my sons French Toast had green mold on the sides of the bread. When i asked the waitress to take a look, she simply removed the plate and changed out the french toast. absolutely disgusted and I will never recommend or return here again. read more
