lemon blueberry pancake & sausage biscuits and gravy

Enjoyable meal for the most part. The Lemon blueberry pancakes didn't have much of a lemon flavor which was disappointing. There definitely was not enough butter for the size of pancake either. The avocado toast was decent, enjoyable with the side of sirracha sauce which was delicious. Our waitress seemed busy but was decently friendly. Overall not a bad meal or experience!

The waiters and waitresses at Scramblers (North Olmsted) are very nice and attentive. I really like that they bring not only a pot of coffee for the table but a pitcher of water! did you know that you can order off the lunch menu for breakfast? It's true! I had chicken and waffles for breakfast. It was delicious and fresh. Oh, and French fries. It is served with a spicy syrup (get it on the side!). Really delicious.

The thick cut rye toast is exceptional. My skillet was very potato heavy and lacked some other ingredients but overall still had a great taste. Came on a Tuesday afternoon and it wasn't too busy but getting our food (for 2) did take longer than expected. Attentive servers and comfy booths; essentially a fancier Bob Evans!

First time here. There were at least 6 people standing at the podium when you walk in, very odd. The restaurant was a bit dirty and could use a refresh overall. It is also very LOUD, my noise canceling earbuds were powerless. The waiter's clothes were stained with food. My meal however was good. Large portions and everything came out hot and fresh. I would opt for takeout next time since I live so close.

I came for my free breakfast on my birthday. And I was not disappointed. I ordered over easy eggs with rye bread and bacon. I also got two hot cakes. Add hot tea into the mix and it was a very good breakfast. The waitress was friendly. I come to this place often. And will continue my visits for into the future.

The food here is amazing. There is so much variety. If you order pancakes, waffles, or French toast it is bottomless. Though I've never been able to finish the first plate of food I get. Their service is also always great. If you go once, you'll become a regular.

Mini avocado omelette with sourdough toast. Hubs had the breakfast burrito.

This place has it all. Great food and excellent service in a clean and friendly environment. We are big breakfast fans and always in the hunt for this kind of place when we travel. What is also great about it is they offer smaller portions at a reduced price. Such as their yummy mini omelet. Just right and less food waste. When we are back in Ohio, we will hit this place again.

The service was ok. The food was terrible. Cold, undercooked and flavorless. Never again.

Jade Owl Cafe is a very cute coffee shop/cafe/breakfast place located on Lorain Road in a free…read morestanding building that can be easy to miss as it kind of blends in with the surroundings. Parking can be challenging, there is a very small lot in front with 2 regular spaces and 1 handicap space; plus there are several spots on the street, all of which were full. I ended up parking on the nearby side street by the Burger King. Inside the cafe there are two distinct sides, the right side is set up as a coffee shop with the service counter, some high top tables and some comfortable seating; the left side is set up as a dining area with a bar. The decor is bright and modern with some touches of whimsy, overall very nice and comfortable, the kind of place you can relax and take your time. The menu is set up with a number of categories: breakfast, paninis, salads, wraps, flatbreads, wafflesicles and drinks. Prices are reasonable and there are some interesting items. I had a certificate for $20 so I ordered the Smashed Egg Avocado Bagel, the Bang Bang Shrimp Wrap and a big Chocolate Chip Cookie. The staff was great getting the certificate redeemed and guiding me through the menu. The food came out in a very timely manner, presentation was simple and straightforward. I had plenty of food for a very nice lunch. The egg and avocado bagel was interesting, the bagel was a bit soft for my preference, it was topped with a generous spread of egg and avocado mix plus some fresh spinach leaves. A very nice and healthy breakfast sandwich, a bit milder in flavor then I prefer, but good. The shrimp wrap was a good sized flour wrap around cold cooked shrimp with shredded cabbage and a great spicy sauce that perfectly complimented the wrap. This was excellent, the cool meaty shrimp contrasting with the crunchy cabbage and the zippy creamy sauce. I would highly recommend this if you like a bit of spice. The warm cookie was a great way to finish my lunch, very soft and gooey, packed with high quality chocolate chunks. About the only issue I had with the cookie was that it was hard to eat with just my hands, I ended up using the fork for most of the cookie. Jade Owl Cafe is a great local place to grab some high quality food, pastries and drinks. It is woman and minority owned, very well thought out and executed. The food is fresh and tasty, service was great and the overall experience was just what you could expect from a cafe. If you are in the area give them a try.

You enter in and pick which mug you'd like your drink to be served in. I thought this was a super fun concept! (I tried not to think of other germy hands touching my cup though haha). I got a cappuccino which was tasty. And I got a s'mores waffsicle, which was so delicious! We sat on the bar side because there were plenty of clean tables over there. (One table was very cold and drafty so watch out hahah) Service was slow; I think maybe only two people were working. There was a giant garage door which will be so nice to have open in nicer weather!! We were also wondering if the mugs will be switched out for glasses when it's iced coffee season! We didn't have kids with us, but noticed some kids toys, a high chair, and changing table in the bathroom available making this place a kid friendly option! Overall, I would definitely come back !

Coffee or tea in a place most people wouldn't think is a college town - 1 of 2…read more This coffeehouse, Rise and Grind, came up on a search when I was in this immediate area. I chuckle at all the names coffeehouses come up with that have the word grind or ground in them. It's a lot like how places that cut hair seem to work in the word(s) sheer and/or shear. The college here is private Baldwin-Wallace University which may have had a religious denomination closer to its founding, but, at this juncture, appears to be more secular. It's actually a few miles east of Rise and Grind, closer to the older town center, and offers instruction in a broader range of fields than one might expect. I saw that this coffeehouse got very good reviews and, with its big parking lot near a major gym, I thought I'd take a look. Parking was easy and, upon entering, one sees it's both a physically and personally welcoming place. The store is lengthy, so one can sit in the front half or the back half, which is more suitable for larger groups, but I chose the table I selected for its proximity to outlets and the counter. On what was a warmer day, I opted for iced tea and an orange frosted donut. The brand of unsweetened iced tea was very good and the orange donut was delicious. I could have eaten another one. Beyond chocolate donuts, this is probably my favorite flavor and one doesn't often come across orange frosted donuts. The service was very amicable. The prices are in line with what others running independent coffeehouses would charge. In fact, I'm starting to like independent coffeehouses more and more for a multitude of reasons, one being that they now handily compete with the chains and have more character. Rise and Grind falls in between 4 and 5 stars, but it tilts to 5 stars because of the tidiness and pleasing ambiance of the store, the apparent vibe that this is a labor of love for the proprietors, and even for having that orange frosted donut.

I hate to admit it, but I was so skeptical of this place and all their 5 star reviews here and…read moreGoogle. Usually that's not a good sign & the reviews are fixed. BUT !!! I recently visited here and I thought it was definitely worth the 5 stars! I came on a Friday morning, and there was no line. There's a parking lot, which is always helpful. Lots of fun drink combinations. I can't remember which latte I ended up going with, but it was sooooo good!!! The sizes are huge though, so just a heads up! There were some food choices. Seemed like healthy options and some pastries. I would have loved a breakfast sandwich without a meat option, but they all seemed to have meat on them. I could have asked for a custom sandwhich, but our barista wasn't very friendly. Not rude or anything!!! Just didn't smile or say hi. Just stared at us. Not a big deal, just not very welcoming! (Maybe she hadn't had her own coffee yet haha). There were lots of different seating options all decorated differently. Lots of different styles, but seemed like an overall safari theme, maybe. (I was obsessed with that cute little elephant and I want one!!!) On the way out, the guy who was working was super friendly to us! Seemed very kind and personable. He made me smile! Overall, I would definitely come back ! I really enjoyed it here !

The facility is far bigger than I thought it would be. They have a central restaurant with multiple party centers on either side. It's a really BIG facility. New, modern, and quite attractive. With plenty of convenient parking. The wall of the restaurant that faces Cleveland Hopkins Airport is all glass. It affords you quite an impressive view of the airport and the planes landing. The staff we met was pleasant and efficient. Our server, Mina, did an excellent job all night. If there was a weak point, it would be the food. It was not bad (I'm trying to be kind); it was just uninspired, limited, and not really well prepared. Because they do not offer bread for the table our only option was to order the "Soft Pretzel". It arrived badly overcooked, crunchy not soft, and even boardering on burnt. The charcuterie board was OK, but uninspired. I ordered the "Lemon Chicken" which was a full half chicken in a reasonably good sauce. But the meat was dry and it came only with brussel sprouts (yuk!). My wife had the "Walleye" which she simply said was "okay"... oh well. Our guests weren't any more impressed than we were. I will say our coffee and "Pot de Creme" were very good... thank goodness. All in all, our overall experience was "meh"... just "meh". Sorry - really probably should be 3.5

Celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary called for something simple, yet memorable--and The…read moreAviator delivered exactly that. We dropped in for Happy Hour, looking for cocktails and a few bites, and were immediately struck by the well-appointed space. The runway views at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport added an unexpected layer of entertainment--watching planes take off and land while toasting 14 years of marital bliss felt like the perfect backdrop. We started strong with a French 75 and an Old Fashioned--both expertly crafted, but that Old Fashioned? Smooth, balanced, and memorable enough to set the tone for the entire evening. Wednesday happens to be Wing Day ($2 whole wings), and we took full advantage. We sampled Buffalo, Sweet & Tangy BBQ, Lemon Pepper Dry Rub, and the undeniable star of the show: Garlic Parmesan. Each had its own personality, but that Garlic Parmesan was simply elite. Service was impeccable--Emily was attentive without being intrusive, making sure our experience flowed as effortlessly as the cocktails. Speaking of which, round two brought a Cosmo alongside a repeat of that Old Fashioned...because when you find the right note, you stay in that key. For food, we shared the French Dip Baguette--shaved prime rib, provolone, horseradish aioli, and au jus done right--and paired it with the Mega Crunch Fries, elevated with sea salt, rosemary, and a light truffle oil drizzle. Simple menu items, executed with intention. We closed the evening the same way we began--together, with one final round of Old Fashioneds. A Happy Hour well spent. A celebration well honored. A 14-year journey still taking off.

The nurses and I ordered food from Cocky's for the second and last time. The food here is so good but I feel like I have to be there and supervise to ensure my order is correct and organized. Both orders we spent over $100 and yesterday was the last time. We ordered different items including kettle chips that were not homemade but still charged $2.50, sandwiches THAT WERE MADE WRONG, 4 orders of buffalo chicken dip and bagel chips that were ROCK HARD and thrown in ONE giant bag that needed to be split up amongst nursing. Last time we ordered Gluten free bagel chips with our Buffalo chicken dip, along with other flavors of bagel chips and those were not included. Just plain. AND WE HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR GLUTEN FREE!! Needless to say, my coworker could not have eat her food due to unknown gluten. Then after ordering $100 worth of food, NOTHING WAS LABELED with names after we specifically called and asked them to do that. I mean honestly, after spending so much money and hyping up my coworkers to get Cocky's both times, this was a horrible disappointment. No one knew whose food was whose. And when we called the first time to talk to someone, it was impossible to reach anyone. Then when we did speak to someone, they simply said "sorry". SORRY?! Do you know how much door dash is? I expect to get cold food when receiving it on someone else's time, but completely wrong food?? Food made incorrectly, that someone has an allergy to... and you say SORRY? No, we want a refund. Half of us spent money and didn't get to eat. The customer service sucks and I work at multiple hospitals, so I will be sure to let them all know that Cockys does not care about their customers.
