Admittedly, I'm not a big fan of breakfast food, but I had a craving for eggs Benedict so we ventured out this morning to Scramblers. The restaurant is a house which has been converted to a diner and offers both booth seating as well as counter seating. It is a cozy place with hanging plants and lots of natural light. Our waitress was friendly and taking care of the entire restaurant by herself. It wasn't too busy when we went in (us plus 2 other tables) but she never bussed the right side of the restaurant the entire time we were there, which was odd since she had lots of free time. The dirty dishes where there when we walked in, remained there for the duration of our entire visit, and were still there when we left 30-35 minutes later. The food was dry and lacked seasoning so we added salt and pepper to give it some type of flavor. I wanted to love this neighborhood spot, but think we'll stick to somewhere closer to home the next time I'm craving some breakfast food. read more

Highly unsatisfying. We came in with high hopes looking to support a local business and ended up very disappointed. The server was rude and dead she had no energy. When we walked in, we should've walked out knowing it was so dead. We waited for 30 minutes for food when nobody in the store. The food was overpriced like who charges seven dollars for 4 sausage links. The food was dry and on satisfying I really do not recommend this place . The place was busy and I like smaller places but everything we ate, I could have made at home and it would have been hotter and more flavorful. It is not worth eating out for. Hot drinks are served in paper cups which means you better drink up quickly. The apples and cinnamon pancakes are just regular pancakes with that pre-made apple compote pie filler stuff on top. The bacon was just ok. The potatoes are cooked alright but have no flavor at all. The steak tasted and felt like it wasn't a very good cut with low quality. I love the days when I wake up early enough to hit Scramblers before class. Endless coffee! I need to hold back sometimes or I'm twitchy for the rest of the morning. And it's not bad. Always hot, fresh and strong. They make omelets the size of your head and they'e stuffed full of toppings. One of the best bets is the vegetarian omelette with eqq whites. VEGGIE OVERLOAD. Lots of mushrooms so there's good flavor, and you can get pretty much any kind of cheese you want on it. Some of the breakfast combos are so cheap that they make you second guess your daily runs to Dunkin'. Most are around $6 and the homefries are awesome. That's right, plenty of seating and no wait. Don't let the address fool you. This place is only in Johnston, because it is across the street. Their staff is genuinely nice and great at convincing you to get home fries. The food is always out quickly even when they are busy. You can get basically every omelet under the sun. I wish I could say I have branched out on their menu, but I have found the perfect omelet with rye toast. The portions are large, but I still feel like it is a little over priced (thus the 4 stars). I decided to come here for breakfast this morning after work. They were the closest to work so I figured I'd give it a try. I have to say I was quite happy with this place. The wait staff is incredibly friendly and quick to take your order and get drinks. Everything came out quickly and overall the meal was great. I ordered 2 eggs, sausage, toast and bacon. The sausage was not as flavorful as I would like but the rest were cooked perfectly. This meal definitely hit the spot after a long night at work. For 10 bucks, this was a good choice for breakfast. Scrambled 2 has a nice atmosphere with an old school diner feel and 80s music playing in the background. While not the best breakfast in town it will fill you up for cheap and I have to say it's nice to find a place that can make toast and eggs just the way I like them. I used to come here all the time, and I would come here so much that the waitress would always know what I wanted right off the bat. "The usual for you this morning?" she would ask. The usual indeed! I love their homefries especially, I'd often get another side of them. Although my grandma begs to differ, referring them as being made by "Jimmy Dean's grandfather", but I disgress. So even though I have my favorite breakfast. Place sometimes I like to switch it up and come here. I used to go to the one in Narragansette when I was a student at URI. Ah memories. The food here is delicious and always cooked the way you ask for it. Coffee while served in tiny cups is bottomless which is great since we usually end up chatting for a while. It's an old building and Definetly has an old diner feel. When my brother visits from New Jersey he gets peanut butter pancakes and they are chick full of peanut butter . My only reason they do not get four stars is that it's kind of pricey. It costs us 26$ for breakfast which I find a lot since my usual breakfast haunt would have been 16-18. I read more

I just wanted a simple breakfast with some perfect toast. Well, I got it here. 3 eggs, some bacon, perfectly toasted white toast, and some tomato slices. The place was clean and the server was nice and attentive. Points off for the way it smells though. I know it's an old place but they could update the carpet and paint the walls and ceiling to get rid of the old toilet water smell.
