First time visiting Scramblers, Bloomington Illinois so took suggestions from our server, Juan. I ordered the Scramblers Frittata with their signature house-made breakfast sausage cooked in a classic frittata with spinach, bell peppers, sliced red onion. Topped with diced tomatoes, chives, goat cheese and a drizzle of garden verde crema sauce, which was delicious! Fruit cup with yummy seasonal fruit and sourdough toast made for a terrific breakfast. My companion opted for Breakfast Tacos with chorizo that had a perfect balance of spice and paired perfectly with the other ingredients in the breakfast tacos. Fried potatoes made a great side dish. The dining room is nice with a clean, modern atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The service was terrific. Would definitely recommend Scramblers for dine in or carry out! A cute restaurant with a trendy vibe. Stopped in for a brunch with a large party of twelve. Our server was very attentive meeting all of our needs. Given it was a graduation weekend for a local college, we were seated very fast - which we appreciated immensely. I ordered The Mini Classic. My choice was as eggs scrambled with cheese, turkey sausage patty, pancakes and a side of grits with cheese. The pancakes were my favorite. I wasn't a fan of the grits or the sausage patty. Some of my party had other items they really enjoyed though. I think it's a great option for quick, attentive service and a diverse menu. read more

The Good: very friendly and attentive staff. The Corned Beef Hash and the Hash Browns. The Bad: the coffee (it makes you wish it was only as weak as diner coffee). The temperature - this place is freezing. There is a constant stream of cold air rushing through the building. The Breakfast Burrito (I requested mine with easy on the cheese) contrary to the menu description, it is primarily a cheese burrito with a smattering of nondescript items and a few pieces of jalapeño. May try them again when the weather gets warmer. read more

Excellent service. Loved our server Devin. He was right on recommendation on the biscuits and gravy! They were amazing!. We also had rhe ultimate omelet. Hash browns were very good. This is an amazing restaurant. The food was excellent. The staff was very courteous and attentive. This might be an odd comment, but the seating is very comfortable and the overall atmosphere and ambiance was very inviting. First time trying this new place that opened up in our town. Was seated right away, the place was really nice inside, the ambiance was pleasant. Our server, Derek, seemed very nice. Was quick to bring us our coffees and water. After we ordered, it was super quick before we even got our food (less than a 10 minute wait). I ordered the Uncle Moose's Manhandler Skillet with a blueberry muffin. My wife ordered the Veggie Delight Omelette also with a blueberry muffin. Our food was brought out by our server, who we promptly never saw again until it was time for him to drop off our check. He never checked on us once! The food was okay, pretty average and nothing that stood out. Here's the kicker, our meals came with a bread option side; never once is it listed on their menu or were we told by our server that the blueberry muffins were an added $2 up charge each! If the only bread choices are toast or English muffins included in your meal that should be stated!! read more

I gave this place 2 stars. The food was alright, and we completely understood the wait since it was busy at first, so that wasn't the main issue. But when we finally got seated, it wasn't as busy anymore and we still felt pretty ignored. This experience was not great. They forgot our drinks multiple times, didn't put enough silverware on the table, never brought our Grits even after asking 3+ times, and it took them almost 30 minutes to come check on us after we finished our food. In understand that it was busy, but this was insane. The food was good overall. My only complaint about the food was the fruit. It was very underripe in some parts and overripe in others. The whole experience took around 2 hours and one of the people at our table had to get up and ask someone to check on us to get our check. read more

We were excited to try this new place and almost everything was terrible. It was freezing cold, everyone had to wear their coats inside. The service was very slow, especially considering how fast breakfast restaurants usually are. My pancakes were some of the worst I've ever had. The waitress was very odd. She accused us of stealing cream from the table when we didn't, our kids were just playing with the cream bowl. She was also constantly touching us which we were all put off by. Had some time to spare before our bus ride and stepped up to the bar for a quick drink. No bartender around. We sat there for 10-15 minutes and a waiter took a drink order. Please keep in mind there was only one table that had any diners. Two cocktails ordered and we waited and waited and waited after another 15 minutes we just walked out. The service was the worst! We waited 20 min for our server to take our order and that was with us waiving her down ... and no hey we're not very busy. I ordered the sausage frittata without onions. I received a frittata which had chicken and onions in it. I told the waitress and she said the "chicken" was sausage. No, I know what chicken looks and tastes like. She said ' I can have them make it with no onions' and I said 'and sausage'. She said 'you don't want sausage either?' I told her I wanted sausage but didn't want chicken' Then she said 'I'll bring a plate so you can put your hash browns on it and eat those while we redo your frittata'. the conversation took a turn for the worse because I don't want to eat a pile of hash browns and then not have any with my frittata. When they brought my correct frittata, it did have severely over cooked hash browns (guessing they recooked the hash browns from my original plate). The frittata was half the size of the wrong (original) Frittata. My dining partner had finished their food before mine arrived. No real apology. No compensation for the error and inconvenience. I won't be back and I will tell my friends, neighbors, and strangers on the street. read more
