THIS MAY BE LENGTHY BUT WORTH THE READ My dintless, scratch less perfect little vehicle was violated. Looking for a body shop is not for the weak at heart. After the accident the insurance company was all over me to go to their partner shops. I had visions of my car being repaired with silly putty and bailing wire, Ahh no thank you. I searched the internet in vain, read countless reviews, which I think are for the most part fabricated, but that is a different issue. I spoke with several shops and it was all the same, make an appointment, we will check it out and see if we can do anything for you. Really, do you have to go on auditions to "SEE" if there is anything they can do for you. The vehicle is smashed in all down one side, what couldn't you do for me. After a week of driving my violated vehicle I called Scottsdale Premier Collision. I had read the other reviews and they made this establishment sound like the greatest thing since sliced bread. I was a little skeptical. Mr. Chris Kmett answered the phone, impressive most top dogs don't answer the phone. He told me to send him a picture of the damage. What no appointment? no audition? After receiving the pictures he said that he would be more than happy to get my vehicle fixed up. Text him when I was on my way he would make sure he was there. I got there and we discussed the damage and he said that he would take care of it and bring it back to it original state. He informed me that he used only new original manufactured parts. Hmm I was liking what I heard. Mr. Kmett then gave me a tour of his establishment and introduced me to his crew. He explained each crew members specialty and talents, this spoke volumes to me. Here is a gentleman that knows and acknowledges that he is only as good as the crew he surrounds himself with, no ego here. While on the little tour I noticed that there were BMW's Mercedes and a Maserati. Mr. Kmett must be able to read minds because I was thinking to myself, the headlight assembly on this Maserati probably cost more than my car. At this point Mr. Kmett assured me that the make of the vehicle does not dictate the quality of service each projects receives. Mr. Kmett went toe to toe with the insurance company on my behalf when they balked about some of the repairs. Mr. Kmett and his crew truly have YOUR best interests in mind when dealing with the insurance company to repair the damage to like new standards. Upon picking up my vehicle you would have thought Mr. Kmett had given birth to it. He inspected the vehicle with me and explained all the repairs in detail and had one of his crew do one more final wipe down. You could tell that he and his crew take pride in their work. Stay away from these thieves. They take advantage of anyone they can. Had a dent in my rear bumper and needed a quote. I dropped off my car to Scottsdale premier once I began the insurance claim. After having my car for three weeks the shop convinced my insurance that it was gonna cost over 12 thousand to fix it even though the adjuster quoted 2K initially. My insurance then deemed my car a total loss. So of course I decided to buy my car back from insurance, right? As the only body damage was the smallest dent in the rear right bumper. The owner just about lost his mind when I made the decision to keep it. Made me wonder why? What is he getting out of my car if I dont keep it? He acted like I took his payday away somehow. He berated me and called me names saying he had my best interest after 30 years in the business. All of this because I chose to buy back MY CAR instead of allowing it to be sold at auction. When I didnt go with aggressive recommendation he made it absolutely impossible to get my car back. They wouldnt accept GEICOs payment for storage, saying they would only release the car to the Copart tow. I was forced, under extreme duress, to sign the release of my car to be towed by Copart. I didnt see the last sentence that said I agree not to post negative reviews on social media because the car was totaled. I didnt even see it until I reviewed the photo I took of the paper. This isnt negative, its truth. When I finally got my car back after jumping through hurdles set by Scottsdale premier collision, I received it destroyed. A dead battery, broken front windshield, back windshield was cut off the car completely, windows removed, the bumper forced into the car that caused scratches in hardware that cant be repaired. Ill include pictures, of how I brought the car in and how it was returned to me. All I asked the shop for was a quote to fix my car. They destroyed my property and tried to silence me. Ten stars if I could! Finally, finally, finally a small business that's honest, gives attention to detail, doesn't just take your money and screw you with a smile. Are they a bit abrasive? Yes, so what! They pull no punches. They don't "yes" you to death and they tell you precisely what they can do and can't do for you. Their straight forward and no-nonsense personalities is EXACTLY what you need when dealing with insurance companies. I'm a lawyer, I know. They fight tooth and nail for every dime and fix that you're entitled to. My beloved Ram had taken a beating recently. Multiple claims on three sides. They said they'd get those sides looking like new. Not only did they, they went above and beyond and fixed the fourth side "just because." They said if it were their truck, they'd have wanted it done. Whaaaaattt????? Tell me companies that do that anymore?? On top of that, they even detailed the INSIDE! The final bonus? A great guy at a great shop I recently had my Mazda 3 brought to this shop for some cosmetic repairs (or so I thought) after my vehicle went off the road. My insurance company gave me the run around. First, they wanted to fix it. A month later, apparently it was a total loss. 2 week later, AGAIN, they wanted to fix it. Throughout the process, Chris, the owner, met with me, called me almost daily for updates, and fought with me to make sure that I was getting quality parts for fixes. As more damages arose, the insurance company still wanted to fix my vehicle when the estimate was over the value of the car, he fought to ensure the vehicle was totaled so that I didn't take a huge financial loss by driving a vehicle that was greatly depreciated by so many repairs. Chris made himself available on weekends, offered to be in early and late to accommodate meeting me to discuss my vehicle, and even called me while I was on vacation to update me told me not to worry about it, just to enjoy my trip. I have a 2014 Kia Soul that had damage done to the rear end in 2 different claims that happened the same day. Chris went way overboard dealing with my insurance company and their crazy demands. The insurance caused huge delays in the repairs as they wanted after market items used that would not fit on the car. Order after order was placed before he was able to order factory parts. The car looks AMAZING! Chris even painted a scrape that was done to the front drivers side fender and it wasn't even related to the accidents! He painted it because he knew it bothered me! I'm pretty sure the guy who gave a 1 star review earlier, owns the body shop across the street. My experience here couldnt have been better. This is the 3rd car these guys have helped me with. Last one was hit broadside. Insurance company wanted to repair, but Chris kept digging and found frame damage overlooked by insurance adjuster. Car was totaled,and thanks to Chris, got a very fair deal from AAA. Unfortunately the replacement vehicle had a bumper repair that was not reported to carfax. It was discovered with peeling paint from poor initial repair. Chris went through the front end with a fine tooth comb, and repaired to factory standards. I took my 2012 Ford Focus to Scottsdale Premier Collision and had my car repaired due to a small encounter with a deer and what an AWESOME job they did. They used all original Ford parts and they detailed my car when it was done. My deductible was waived and not questions asked. My car looks just like it did before I hit the deer, what a great job. When I dropped my car off and picked it up the gentlemen were very nice and this place is not all bad they have a fabulous dog that is part of the office. I decided to take a chance, called the shop and went and met with the Owner and Manager to asses the damage on my car. They were so kind and helpful, and I felt like they were the best shop for the job. They kept in contact with me during the entire process and got the repairs done in a timely fashion. I just picked up my 2017 Jeep Cherokee from Scottsdale Premier. I have to say, this is the first time I have ever left a review for a business but they deserve it. They stayed in constant contact, helped me deal with my insurance, and they went above and beyond to get my Cherokee looking perfect. I am an artist myself so I pay extreme detail to paint and body work. They blended the paint and it was flawless. The owner Chris was extremely polite and helped me get my rental car when my insurance company wanted me to drive it until drop off but it was unsafe. They also didn't let my insurance company try to cut corners on my repair. Jim was very helpful over the phone when Icalled to check on my car, told me how the process was going and kept me in the loop the whole time. Had my 2017 Chevy Volt repaired here. 12 thousand dollars worth of work done to it and you can't even tell it was ever in an accident. They waived my whole deductible and used all factory parts on my car. They didn't use any of the junk parts that the Insurance company wanted to use. Couldn't ask for anything more. This is a small,somewhat hidden shop in Scottsdale, don't let that concern you..After demolishing the front bumper, & suspension on my Infiniti G37x I had them come pick it up to do the repairs. Chris and the staff are all extremely professional, they are all about providing the best service possible. There were no issues with anything. The only time I had to speak to my insurance company was to file the claim. Unlike other shops that try to tack on BS charges & piss off the insurance companies.
