Scott's was good. It was actually nice to have another option for breakfast. And it was a good breakfast. All the staff were polite, hustling and smiling. It's what you want to see. We walked in and they tell you, where ever you want. So we sat down, she brought our menus and took our drink orders. And looked over the menu. The food was hot and good. My wife ordered a burger. I tried their breakfast burrito and could only finish half because it was so filling. It was very delicious, but my mistake was taking it to go and eating it back in my room. Don't! It needs to be eaten immediately (I mean SOME cooling is ok) so you can feel your eyes roll back in your head with delicious satisfaction. The pico salsa was delicious too! We stopped here on our way from LA to Sacramento to visit family. It was conveniently right off the freeway. It's a good size diner with some interesting, nostalgic decor. We were greeted and seated right away. The server was great. The place was busy but she was very pleasant and took the time to listen to my mom talk about the decor as she reminisced. All the menu items sounded so good! My mom and I both got the eggs Benedict and potatoes along with fruit. It was a good size serving and delicious! The potatoes so the best I've ever had. They were well seasoned, crispy on the outside but not burnt. The fruit was fresh cut, not canned or frozen, and very sweet. We were in the area visiting relatives at the cemetery, and wanted to get lunch at a local place, instead of a chain restaurant. So glad we found this diner! It's a hidden gem. We could smell so many good things as we walked in from the parking lot. We were warmly greeted and directed to a seat. We got silverware and menus delivered, and the hostess took our beverage order. The menu had salads, sandwiches, and a few other options on one side - breakfast foods on the other. We both thought the steak salad sounded amazing, so we ordered those and a basket of fries. The man serving us was outgoing and personable; none of it seemed forced, like some servers can. He anticipated our needs and apologized that he got stuck at the register as someone was paying. Salad was freshly washed greens, perfectly grilled steak, buttery soft sliced avocado, etc. We both devoured them, munching on perfectly crisp french fries dipped in ketchup or ranch in between the healthy items.
