Food was top notch. The host informed me that they bake and prepare almost everything. He said very few items are bought that need to be frozen. The area is well lit and even played Mexican music. Several TVs and a great selection of desserts. They have Pepsi!!!!

Super attentive service. Everything was very tasty. I had the Country Eggs Benedict, however with hollandaise sauce, I ate every bite. The only downside is they don't offer latte's and the lame excuse they have on why they don't offer them is it would be a conflict of interest with Starbucks in the same shopping center!! That's a nice way of saying they just don't want to spend the money on a espresso machine.

Went here for breakfast. The food is basic breakfast food. The quality was standard and perfectly acceptable, just nothing super exciting. I needed to add salt and hot sauce since it was a bit bland. The most disappointing thing was they don't offer lattes or different coffee drinks. The service was great, very attentive.

Love this place! Great music, fast friendly service and killer food! Giant portion of beer battered zucchini fries and a mimosa hit the spot! And those pies!! So tempting!

Food is great! Amazing sun exposure early I. The morning, it's start to get busy perhaps they can set the out door area, and make sure the one staff older lady smiles more, she is very rude! And is not the person to wake up too. Merced is a community either sunshine we need that energy for coming to this place to start our days and long hard work weekend. Overall the chef needs a price the food is so good that I can forget about the rest! Seating should be a bit quicker if they have tables, instead of saying someone call out!

I come here with my uncle at least once a month for breakfast, sometimes once a week. The food is literally the best, the steak, the eggs Benedict, the hamburgers, the meatloaf, and the pies are everything we always save room for pie or carrot cake. The service is always amazing never had a bad time here and will keep coming back every month.

Second time coming here and the food is always good. First time I got a breakfast burrito and I think I liked it a bit more. The chicken fried steak needed a bit more seasoning but it was still good. The service though is great and the place is also nice and cute.

Friday morning I went in to have breakfast with my son (9:45am) and surprisingly there was no line and nobody waiting. We waited to be seated just like the sign asked, waited for about 8-10 minutes without being approached by a hostess or anybody else. Finally after that time a shorter gentleman with glasses walks up to the podium with menus, puts the menus down, doesn't acknowledge us even though we were sitting directly across from the the podium and right next to the front doors. Then comes back and says "it's going to be a few minutes before I can seat you" (the whole right side of the restaurant was empty and directly in front of me on the left was maybe half full.) restaurant did not seem busy at all so I responded with "that's fine we can wait." Assuming it'd be maybe another minute or so up to 5 minutes. He walks away without another word and then doubles back and says it's gonna be about 15-20 minutes before I can seat you. I was one single adult with a 7 year old. The response Seemed a bit ridiculous and lazy in my opinion. This was my first and last visit unfortunately. I used to love Paul's place when it was on G Street and there was never issues like this all of a sudden they have a new name, new location and I don't believe I'd go back there again. Sad to say but Dennys offers better service than this.

The food is very straightforward. Typical diner options. The new location is nice and the servers are kind. The pies were delicious!

I meant to take a picture of my food, but honestly I accidentally didn't--because everything looked so good that I dug in immediately. And even without the photo evidence, the presentation and plating were incredible, just like they always are. This place has my heart. The restaurant was not very busy and it took almost 20 mins just to be seated at our table. We then took our place at the table and we waited another 10-15 mins for someone to wait on us. We kindly flagged the young male server there and asked him if he could get our server to assist us. The young female server finally came out to assist us - she was not very welcoming but proceeded to take our drink order. It took almost 15 minutes to get our mimosas and water. She did not greet us, inquiry if it was our first time there or gave us suggestions on the menu. She then proceeded to take our order which took a while to get our food. The plus - everyone enjoyed our meals from the way they were prepared to the ingredients. No one ever came to our table and gave us any water nor did they ask for a refill on our drinks. During this time I peeked around the corner and saw staff just sitting in the back talking to one another. I tried to keep the experience positive for my group of friends but they were also growing concerned about the lack of hospitality. The lunch schedule was only until 2 pm but because of Rainbird's delay in seating us, taking our drink orders as well as the slight delay we felt we were now being rushed to finish our lunch, I also wanted to celebrate our friend's birthday and I brought a cake - the server proceeded to tell me it would be a $5 charge per person if I cut the cake there. She did offer to bring a complimentary dessert for our guest of honor. In my opinion, due to the service we were not receiving the cake fee should have been at least discounted or offset due to the lackluster enthusiasm and service. As we were trying to finish our lunch and take pictures at this beautiful establishment we could see the "side eyes" of staff rushing to get us out the door. I am a firm believer of supporting small businesses in Merced since I was born and raised there and let's face it - Merced has very limited fine dining and we wanted to do something nice for us. In order for small businesses to thrive in this town they need our consumerism to stay in business. As I read from all the exemplary reviews on this platform we unfortunately had a very bad experience with this lovely establishment. A group of us came from Madera so that we could meet our gals from Merced as a middle location. Needless to say we were very disappointed with the service as well as the treatment we received from Rainbird. Next year we will choose another location for our next gathering. Please do better Rainbird.

They even have a sandwich menu! I ordered the Beesting Bagel Sandwich which comes on your choice of bagel with egg, bacon, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and a hot honey drizzle. It was absolutely delicious! The bagels were super soft with a nice crust on the outside. The cream cheese was perfectly thick and creamy. The hot honey drizzle really tied everything together well! Because it was so busy, it did take a while to receive our food. The line to order, although long, did go by pretty quickly. There were some tables inside but it was too crowded to find a spot. Luckily we were able to find a table outside while we waited for our orders. Whenever an order was ready, the workers walked around both inside and outside shouting the name of the order which made it convenient for us to not have to fight the crowd to the counter. The only issue I felt there was was the cleanliness. When you are standing inside, you can quite literally see years of caked on dirt on some of the not frequently touched surfaces. The lamps probably had an inch of dust built up. Although this isn't the most important detail, it still makes me question the cleanliness of the whole establishment. Despite this, I won't be held back from revisiting if I am in the area again!
