My trusty desktop computer crashed about a week ago...At the time I thought my life was over, and there was no way to get over this tragedy. (of course you have to consider that my car was sideswiped the same day, so my emotions were at a bit of a low) I found Scott on Yelp and called and emailed him on a sunday morning to see what he could offer in the way of a "second coming" for my trusty computer. The first surprise was that he actually called me on that sunday to see how he could help. When I got past the shock, of actual "customer service", we agreed I would bring my computer to him the next day. Long story short, I told him I was on a budget and there was only so much money I could spend... After he got into it, he determined that for the price I would have to pay him to fix it I could buy a new computer, Another shocker HONESTY...I so appreciate him not taking advantage of me and milking me for every dollar that I had...It was refreshing to deal with someone who has integrity and morality.... My hard drive crashed in September while Scott was out of town, so I took it to another service (with good Yelp reviews). When the computer was returned, I continued to get a blue screen; so I called Scott. Not only did he completely repair my computer, he installed all the software updates (again, not done by previous provider). I called Larson and explained my IP camera issues and he indicated he does that kind of work. My camera worked great ,one of those $200.00 one's, for a long time and then it malfunctioned so I called him and agreed to come and have a look. After a $250.. analysis of my system the extent of which is a desk top computer a router and the camera, he said he needed to do that 1st. After discussing what I wanted he left to email a quote later on (a day or so,which was fine) with quote in hand $1000.00 . Wow!!! I said I'll think it over. In between I'd recommended him to my brother to install a system that didn't seam to please him when finished ( apparently Larson wanted more $$ after submitting the original quote & the cable ran in the middle of the wall vs up the door frame and over) I know zero about this stuff but decided to look into it myself and wala! found out my camera was bad so I replaced it and took the time to read the instructions and installed it myself for a total cost of $170.00. Hummmm! What's wrong with this picture? I feel I was duped on the $250.00 and about to be scammed on the $1000.. BTY Larson is very polite,professional, and knowledgeable in some areas but IP camera's and diagnosis of them & cost to install systems needs lots of work. Shop around!! read more

I went to Scott to have him try to recovery some photos that were accidentally deleted recently. I dropped off my hard drive and usb drive and he told me that he would look through the data to see if he could recover any of my pictures. He was able to find some photos but not the ones I needed which didn't surprise me too much since I used the drive after deleting the files. He didn't charge me anything! I would have been happy to pay Scott for the work he did; after all, it did take up some of his time. It's refreshing to meet a fellow honest business owner! read more

Scott saved me a couple of hundred dollars with one phone call. I noticed my laptop fan wasn't running and feared overheating the computer. I looked up local computer repair people on Yelp and phoned him. He quoted me reasonable prices for diagnosis, repair time and for the part, but he also suggested I keep the computer running a while (it was a chilly morning) to see if the fan might thermostatically kick in when it got warm. Scott did a great job fixing my laptop. Before I brought it in he let me know what the costs and timelines might be. He ran his hardware diagnostics on the laptop and it turned out to be a minor problem. Because it turned out to be a quick fix, he did not charge me extra to fix it; his only charge was for the diagnostic test. I had my fixed laptop back only 24 hours after I dropped it off. Scott was also willing to share his knowledge about how to prevent future problems and suggestions for buying a new laptop (which brands are better than the others). I returned from a vacation to find my 2 yr old HP gently used laptop acutely malfunctioning, and not booting up. I was sure it was just some weird glitch, but eventually being unable to get it to respond, I found Scott in an Internet search. We bought a new computer at Best Buys and then took our old hard drive to their tech department, the Geek Squad, where I was told that the data was corrupted and could not be recovered. We were very upset, as it contained, among other things, our wedding pictures. I'm glad I didn't take that as the final answer. Scott recovered 100% of the data on the file, turned the job around quickly, and charged a very reasonable price. He is also very friendly and personable and responds immediately to calls and emails.
