This was great, i did a quick look at places near my hotel and found this place. The woman working was just wonderful. I had in mind what I wanted thinking of past visits to Jamaica and was not disappointed. The Jerk Chicken was very flavorful, I got the medium as she said the hot was like ghost pepper hot. The medium was good for me. They also had two flavors of Ting which I do not see often in the US. If you get a chance and want a wonderful flavor of Jamaica with great service you should give them a shot.

This is the food truck which is closed on the weekends. My review is for the restaurant 6385 Roswell Rd NE (for some reason Yelp has that address as closed but it's open and located behind a gas station). Oxtails were AMAZING! I didn't care for the rice. It had a heavy coconut flavor and was somewhat sweet. I didn't like the plantains. I don't think they were fresh. What I mean is, they were fried, left to sit out, as if waiting for someone to order them and then added to the plate. Not made to order. I dislike reheating plantains. I enjoy them fresh off the oil. I didn't care for the Island lemonade drink which was mixed red and yellow drinks with fruits. It tasted like Capri Sun. Maybe next time I'll just try the lemonade only (yellow drink). I wanted patties and I was informed no patties were made today because he didn't feel like making them. Customer service from Kevin was nice. Will I come back? It's a toss up. The oxtails were really good but for me to drive out here for just that nah because I didn't enjoy the sides and the plate, albeit huge, was pricey. Also I presume I got the large. Or maybe it's only one serving size because I wasn't asked if I wanted small or large. The oxtails plate was a WHOPPING $36. I think I'll stick to Creole Orleans Catering (Greenbriar Mall food court) or Nice Mon cafe (Stone Mountain).

I've been searching for an authentic Jamaican restaurant in the Atlanta area and I think I may have found it! I ordered the oxtail and it was around $32; if you would like to opt for a cheaper option the brown stew is around $20. Both were delicious! The owner, Kevin, gave great customer service and even sent me on my way with a sample of cucumber ginger juice : ) There isn't a menu so call ahead (404-482-8616) to order/ see what they have for the day.

The food is phenomenal! Literally Kevin throws down, he made curry shrimp right there in front of us. This is authentic Jamaican cuisine. Classically trained chef, but with authentic flair from grandma. You will not be disappointed.

$57 for an oxtail platter on Uber eats is crazy. $39 is already to much. I understand the price of beef is going up but $60 is wild.

The space was very surprising as from the street it looks small and almost unassuming, but when you walk through the door, the space opens up to the most beautiful decor, opulent seating and the bar was GORGEOUS! They also have a beautiful outdoor patio and an area that can be booked for private parties. The host Ken was welcoming and very helpful. The bartender greeted us with a smile and provided fantastic service (my blackberry lemon drop was perfect). Now for the part you really want to know about...The food...OMG the food! I placed a to-go order (I wish that I had the time to dine-in), I was starving so I opened my food to take a bite in the car and when I tell you that it was SO GOOD, I went BACK inside just to tell the chef how good it was and how I would be back again soon and would be telling everyone about my experience. The menu said that the meats were marinated, but lots of places say the same thing and only have surface seasoning. I ordered the Stewed Chicken Main and EVERY SINGLE BITE was bursting with flavor and so tender. To say that I am impressed, is an understatement. The place is so beautiful I started planning how I could hold a private party there. My visit to Miss Conduck was like finding a hidden gem and I HIGHLY recommend dining there! (I am not a friend/affiliate just a woman who loves great food, excellent service and ambiance).

It feels curated, warm, and intentional without trying too hard. As for the food, my favorites are the oxtail hummus and the seafood curry bowl. Both are full of flavor and always hit. You can tell there's real creativity behind the menu, and everything feels thoughtfully put together. The overall vibe, from the design to the food, makes it a place I genuinely enjoy returning to. We tried calling ahead, but no one answered; fortunately, it wasn't too busy when we arrived, so our tardiness wasn't an issue. There was a DJ playing a nice mix of hip hop and R&B, which set a great vibe. We weren't immediately greeted since no one was at the hostess stand, but someone from the kitchen noticed us right away and seated us. They offered a $28 "Girl Brunch" with a choice of cornbread or deviled eggs, plus either jerk chicken fried rice or croissant French toast with blueberry compote, along with a lemon drop. I chose the deviled eggs and croissant French toast and gave the lemon drop to my friend, opting for a mocktail instead. My friend ordered the cornbread and steak and eggs. We both enjoyed everything. I was pleasantly surprised by the croissant French toast, and the mocktail was just as good as any cocktail.

The décor was nice, and the staff were kind, but they seemed more focused on juggling reservations. The biggest disappointment came when I found hair in my food. It was upsetting and honestly pretty disgusting. On top of that, I watched a group of four couples come in without a reservation. The staff agreed to seat them, but split them up--even though the restaurant wasn't packed. Having worked in the restaurant industry myself, I know this isn't how good hospitality works. Overall, the experience was far from what we hoped for, and unfortunately, I wouldn't come back again. I am thankful that my friend paid the bill where the tip was included. I figured I would add an update to go along with a more recent set of photos. I was able to go in, get seated, order, and get a nice platter of ropa vieja. The food here is very reliable. And, to date, I've only had 2 entrees - the ropa vieja and the vaca frita. The restaurant remains clean and comfortable. I've just seen a slight but perceivable decline in their enthusiasm for customer service and, as it is elsewhere, it seems to show up when locales aren't even really busy. That was the situation here. I'd like to move them back up to 5, but this more sullen reception keeps Papi's in Midtown at 4 stars. Because there are about a handful of locations in the Atlanta metro area, it's just easier to go to Papi's and not reinvent the wheel.

What I didn't expect is to see them raise the prices, while making the dishes much smaller. I've always ordered the Jerk Chicken sandwich with fries. The portion was so small I asked the waitress was this correct, and to my surprise she said "yes, that is how it comes now." I used to leave stuffed after this meal, today I left still hungry. You can raise the prices, but raising them and cutting back on food at the same time is wild. No way you're saving money by giving customers about 10 small fries. They really cut back on chicken in the sandwich also. Most of mine was just bread. Papi's I think you might have lost me as a customer now.
