    Thai Chile Shrimp, perfect!
    Patrick A.

Such an easy and fantastic cafe in Paris, incredible food, would recommend the Thai Chile Shrimp if available. They offer Berthillon ice cream which is a fantastic touch for desert! Friendly staff and gorgeous setting, if you are in Paris and want an easy, no fuss spot to dine and are in the area, look no further!

Pave de veau aux girolles, pomme purée, grapefruit juice!

The food here is unreal. I stumbled upon this place because the restaurant I originally wanted to go to was closed (Note! Many French businesses are on holiday in August!), and I'm so pleased that I had lunch here! The server was incredibly kind even though I can barely speak French, and helped me decide on the plat du jour, which was pave de veal aux girolles. It also came with pomme purée. Amazing! The veal was soft and tender, and the mushrooms were drenched in the delicious sauce but still maintained a good bite to them. Scossa also offers several types of fresh fruit juices, of which I tried the grapefruit. Great meal. I ended up staying the afternoon with my book because of the cozy corner table I had outside. Service continued to be attentive and the atmosphere is just unbeatable. Compared to other restaurants in this price range, Scossa is a gem. I will definitely come here again!

    French food with Italian influences.

Perfectly acceptable fare. I had the salmon and asparagus, hubby had the pepper steak. The salmon had a mirepoix-like sprinkling of a finely-chopped topping with thinly-sliced Marcona almonds. The asparagus was slightly over cooked, but still tasty. Hubby's steak was cooked to perfection. No surprise there, the French know how to cook beef. His potatoes were also excellent. Our server was lovely and spoke English very well, thankfully, and was perfectly nice about my bad French.

Water spilled on my daughter and bottle of red wine spilled on me. Ruined shirt, ruined dress pants. Claire, you should be horrified.

Don't know why rating is so low. Have American standards of service and it was pretty good. Food was pretty tasty as well.

    Review Highlights - Scossa

We decided to check out Scossa when the beautiful outdoor seating area and strings of white christmas lights caught our eye from across the Victor Hugo circle.
