Went here the other day and had a great experience. Everyone was really friendly and accommodating. The environment is super homey, it reminds me of a U.S. diner setting kind of! We never eat at chains while traveling, and came to Scoozi based on a recommendation for a local. I had read some reviews, some were good and some from a lady on the east coast of the USA gave me pause. However, as people from the east coast of the USA, we found the food to be very good, the service just as nice and the ambiance was a cool little place. My son (15) had lasagna, the bride had a tart with feta cheese, pesto and sub dried tomatoes. I had the chicken breast stuffed with garlic & cream cheese. All the dishes were very good, I think the garlic might sneak up on me tonight! Overall, a very good meal and a nice evening. Would go again read more

I have tried this place twice and each time it fails to impress. The food is really really really mediocre which is didisappointing considering the price. Entree are €15 upwards and taste like ever so slightly elevated ready meals. It's pretty popular for some reason so service can be a bit slow and inattentive. My last visit, my food was really bland, the side dishes were so small (they put my side of coleslaw on a tiny lettuce. Literally about two tablespoons worth of side dish) AND THE FLIES. throughout the entire meal buzzing everywhere. Landing on everything!! Why are there so many flies in this place?? Italian in Ireland... interesting concept. I am writing this from the stand point that I have been to Italy and live on the east Coast of the Unites States of America. I feel like I know Italian food! I can say Scoozi tries but they just can't do it right. The service was extremely friends and attentive. The establishment is decorated quite cute and is clean. We stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch (a local bank teller suggested it.) My daughter was jonesing for some pasta (missing home a little!) Schoozi scored with her plain pasta! Also their garlic bread was ok, thumbs up for her. I had the Genoa Pollo. Oddly enough the sauce was flavored as it was cooked in a hamburg or sausage but it wasn't. Hard to explain. it was interesting. Not the best and not the worst. For the price there could have been more chicken! read more

Don't! The food reminded me of something you would take on a camping trip and unfortunately the service was unable to make up for it. Not fabulous but okay, dishes size were correct but it wasn't that tasty, too much promotion about their homemade sauce, should I have put some in my burger to taste something?? We also took the home speciality (burger with mushrooms sauce) the sauce liked like it was made with powder and water.... And the Scoozi chicken that was very dry... Big portions! I wish my hotel had a fridge so I could take home leftovers. *Chicken wing starter: Tasty, but I've had better sauce. *Beef fillet salad: Awesome. Both the beef and the salad were delicious and hearty. Lots of fresh veggies. *Spicy chicken salad: Same as the beef. *Broccoli & sundried tomato fusili: Delicious but too big to finish! *Chorizo pasta: Same as above...stocked with chorizo! The garlic bread was extremely fresh and delicious as well. *Margherita pizza: Our only disappointment. The meal was fine, but the cheesecake was divine. As a cheesecake lover, I've had many expressions from all around the world (Traditional, Japanese, Basuku..), the Irish make it creamier than any place else I've found, and Scoozi's is one of the best and most memorable cheesecakes I've ever had anywhere. read more

My mom and I went to Scoozi's on a recommendation from Blarney Stone Guesthouse. It was such a cute place. It was very busy, kind of reminded me of diners in the states. My mom and I split the fried mushrooms with garlic sauce...our new favorite irish app. They were crisp and full of absolutely greatness :) We also split a burger and fries. The burger was prepared well and the Cajun sauce was tasty. (Not overly spicy, just flavorful) We then had to split a dessert as we saw several people order dessert at lunch :P We enjoyed the Strawberry Pavlova. It is truly a dessert I will dream about. It was light and decadent...I'm not even sure that makes sense, but it's true. The creamy texture mixed with the sweet crumbly crust was incredible. When I go back to Ireland, this is definerely a place I am revisiting. read more

Love this place. A very popular restaurant in Cork. Don't know if you could call it 'Italian food' though. I almost always get the chicken wings when I go here. The sauce is sweet but heavy. After it's high reviews and packed crowd we decided to stop by for dinner. As an Italian American Maybe the review is too harsh, but I thought the food was somewhat expensive and the food above average but not outstanding. I had the meat lasagna which was good although not the best I have had. Served with tour choice of side salad or chips and also comes with Cole slaw strange for Italians but apparently standard for the Irish which I am OK with. The food was very good and well prepared. Again though I think the prices were a bit high for pizza and pasta. Nice drink selection Great atmosphere friendly staff. We had the strawberry shortcake dessert which is huge and can be shared. Someday Scoozi will be open for Sunday brunch and all will be right with the universe. But until then, I'll just have to make do with their breakfast menu being a weekdays and Saturdays fixture. Fantastic range of "Mediterranean" foods available, complemented by imported beers and an excellent wine list. A must see place to visit if you are in Cork. Very busy, very lively restaurant. Lots of Cork people come here - it's like a social club in some ways. The food is good, but standard fare - the menu doesn't change much, but the buzzy, chatty atmosphere makes up for it. Great for large groups, and events like birthdays. read more

Cozy restaurant in an old building. The dining area is broken up into several smaller rooms. Service is good and the food is fair. Spaghetti Bolgnaise was equivalent to what you could make at home. I go annually with my aunt and cousins for our girls days out and sometimes go with my friends. I usually get a pasta and some garlic bread. The large portions of food are perfect for me as I have a huge appetite and they don't hold back on feeding. The garlic bread was beautiful. Don't let the word "family" put you off though, the atmosphere is cozy and there's always a good buzz in there. The dishes are very generous in proportion and very delicious. I visited this restaurant with a group of friends and though the service was fantastic, the breakfast offered was near abysmal. The scrambled egg came in the shape of the cup it was microwaved in and the black pudding was just plain awful. The coffee was served luke-warm and was pretty weak and I found the lack of beans off-putting. Hands Down the BEST Wings in the people's republic. The menu is quite extensive and has something for everyone, the prices are really reasonable too. The staff are fabulous, they really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The Desert menu is my fave. A hotspot for first dates for students so the overheard conversations are hilarious. We found this restaurant our first night in Cork and we couldn't have been more impressed. The food was delicious, the staff was very attentive, and management came to check on us as well. We sat outside and the staff brought us blankets and asked if we would like the outdoor heaters turned on. We all had Italian dishes which came with bread and additional side for an excellent price. Having nothing bad to say about the place you won't be surprised to hear that it is always busy, you'll often have to wait a couple of minutes to be seated but don't be scared by that as it is only ever a short wait. YUM!!!!!! I go in here about once every second month and I really like this place. As it is a popular restaurant in Cork prepare to wait for your table! Most of the staff are incredibly nice and the decor inside is quite lovely, warm and inviting. This is a lovely place to go for a coffee with a friend, on a date or for dinner with family. You will frequently see kids here so bear that in mind if you are trying to get away from your own for an hour! It is located in the heart of town and has a good atmosphere. Make a booking if you can. The food is simply the main reason I come back time and again. My most recent dish was the flourless chocolate cake with fresh cream to the side. I would like to admit now that I am the biggest chocoholic ever and am very fussy about my chocolate but this particular cake was to die for!!!!!!!!!! So light, fluffy but mouth watering. It hits your tongue and then melts!!!! Delicious, absolutely delicious. My friends ordered the spicy wings and could not stop raving about them.
