While traveling through Roy Utah, my wife and I stopped with our puppy for a relaxing coffee and tea on a warm summer day. Our puppy is a service dog in training and is being exposed to different social situations in public. We do not take him into businesses yet, but this location has a patio with umbrellas. The patio is on the north side of the building and is shaded during most of the day. Perfect for us and our puppy. I had the ice tea and my wife had a fancy coffee. The tea was similar to Dutch Bros in that it was fairly sweet before the addition of sweetner. It was refreshing and tasted great. The. Offer, my wife said was excellent. The patio faces the main road and there is a lot of traffic and noise. I guess people in Utah do not like mufflers! This is a pretty nice place with friendly staff and great service. I definitely recommend this location if you are in town and want a refreshing ice tea or coffee. read more

Not happy at all. Every time I am in the area I usually go to this place for coffee/latte. Utah is pretty dead for coffee and it's hard to find a place that isn't Starbucks. Today was my last visit to scooters. First of all they will not put the coffee into my own tumbler. Ok. So I get another dose of micro plastics from their cup. But then today I ordered a plain hot latte and picked it up in the drive thru. I was about 5 miles down the road when I took my first sip of it. This was not what I ordered. This damn thing was sweet as hell. I ordered no flavors. It was undrinkable. The lattes here have been mediocre at best but this just finished my patronage. Can't wait to get back to Boise so I can get a great latte. read more

I came here once or twice a few years ago and ultimately stopped just because my new job took me south, and I never ventured north! All the coffee shops around my area have closed down due to the Covid-19 pandemic, so a friend suggested I come and "try" Scooters, which I was more than happy to do! I wasn't sure what to get, so I looked at their menu in the parking lot before I pulled in. I decided on their featured latte, and I wasn't disappointed! With most places, I'm a little skeptical of featured menu items because I'm scared fo try something new, but I don't have that fear with Scooters! One thing I have to be cautious with is the ingredients that go into their drinks. I started getting sick, as did my baby, and I didn't realize until after there was one drink with a significant amount of dairy (or so I assume) that was upsetting our stomachs. That particular drink was taken off the menu so I stopped getting it, and we haven't had an issue since. I do NOT blame the company for that at all, that's on me. Seen this place a few times, and decided to try them out, there coffee, and drinks are amazing. I really loved there strawberry shake was the best i have ever have, i took my sister the next day and said the same thing, it was the best. Come here often. Service is very nice, love the people, and the food and coffee are delicious. Pricing is a bit high, and the lids on cold drinks ALWAYS leak so my family usually just takes the lids off and drinks from the cup directly. My total was $16ish.. the burritos were a bit on the smaller end but decent. The coffee was a little bland. Let me start by saying their coffee is amazing! The peanut butter carmelicious is the best!! Were it not for the breakfast burrito this would be a solid 5 star. I was the first customer of the day, arriving at 5:30am. I ordered the southwest breakfast burrito which was $3.50. Very unimpressed! It was microwaved to death and tasted horrible! I can't believe they charge so much for a less than gas station quality burrito. If you're going here, stick with the coffee or the pastries. read more

I went to Scooter's for the first time to study. I don't drink black coffee, so I'm not sure about the taste of coffee itself, but I decided to review this cafe for other college students around the area :) It was a very clean cafe with lots of seats for people to hang out. It's right next to a grocery store, so you won't have a problem finding a parking spot either! Here are the pros and cons of this place from my perspective: Pros: -Clean -Many seats -Various discount (no student discount though...) -There is a drive through -Big parking lot -The girl who was working was friendly Cons: -Music was too loud for studying for sure. I think it would be too loud for people to have conversations too -A bit more expensive than what I am used to (a small soy latte costed $4.08) -My soy latte was a bit too weak/sweet. I probably should have gotten an extra shot which might cost more... -Coffee was super hot. I had to wait for a while before I could finally drink it. I really wanted to like this place because it's a convenient place for me, but I couldn't concentrate on studying... I was using ear buds but it's not like I could use them for hours :( maybe I will try again if I see good reviews from other students in the future. read more

Needed a little pick me up this morning so we stopped here to start the day. We went through the drive thru and I got the turtle latte. The drive thru moves quickly, but the menu is hard to read unless you're right next to it. The prices are comparable to Starbucks, so it feels pricy since I don't have a million gift cards to use here. The turtle latte has a great mix of caramel in it and is very sweet, which is fine by me. read more

Owner doesn't allow employees to wear weather specific clothing. That is to say if it's a blizzard out the drive through employees aren't allowed to wear coats in order to stay warm. This is yet another example of money being more important than people. Do not give them your money. read more

I recently moved back to my hometown of Roy and needed a place to study, possibly something similar to Coffee Connection downtown. I asked numerous people and they suggested Scooter's. When I walked in I was enlightened that it had many tables for studying or just having a coffee date. The baristas are nice and friendly, but once I got my coffee, I wasn't too impressed. I actually went several times hoping a different choice of coffee would be better, but it wasn't. I ended up sticking to smoothies, which were better than the coffee. The other thing is, even though the place seemed catered to students, their music is extremely loud for a coffee shop. That's my opinion and some could argue, but I could not concentrate. I think a coffee shop should be quaint and relaxing. Not loud with hard rock playing in the background. After several attempts of trying to stud at this location, I no longer think I can. I had my husband bring me earplugs last time and I still heard the music pretty loudly. I recommend this place for a hangout, not a place to study. read more

I thought the coffee was great. I actually ordered the mocha and it had good flavor. The girl taking orders in the drive thru was very friendly and asked if I wanted to try a breakfast burrito. I decided on the bacon one and it was gross. The thing was made in a factory, frozen, then shipped to this location. Roy can definitely use a place like this! I went in on a Friday afternoon, and was greeted by a super friendly barista who let me sample three different kinds of brews. It's amazing to see how much work went into making the place seem very inviting. We were introduced to this place by a good friend of ours. We were hooked from the beginning! My husband and I tried the Heath Bar (blended). We've also tried the Butterfinger and the Toffee Mudslide. There was one that was white chocolate and peppermint... nice hot beverage, I don't recall what it's actually called. We just often asks the wonderful gals what would be good to try. We end up with the yummy drinks! The ladies (Teena and "Jazz") are always nice and friendly, they're also very helpful when it comes to suggesting new flavors to try. We went from dropping by once every two weeks to 3 to 4 times a week. The place is always clean, warm, and cozy. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting, there's also plenty of parking space around and nearby. There was never a time wherein we dropped by and the gals working there weren't all smiles. Not knowing what to expect since I just happened to pass by this place heading to work, decided to check it out anyway. They are pretty quick to get your drink out, at least via drivethru. I tried the latte and it was a little weak. Found out later that they only do one shot for 16oz, many other places do two. They put just enough flavoring to get the job done, it's never over or under sweetened from my experience. read more

I ordered a large iced vanilla latte with almond milk with an extra shot. The only reason I drank it was because it was close to $7. Other wise I would have tossed it in the trash. I understand having alternatives cost more and I'm perfectly okay with that but not when the drink taste like rotten peanuts. It just had the funkiest taste to it and that is closest thing I compare it to. I personally did not like the taste of their almond milk (I'm guessing this is what tasted bad) I'm not sure if it's the brand they use or if the almond milk was spoiled. Also they could have mixed my drink a little bit better so the bottom of the drink wasn't warm. I honestly did not like it. This was our first time visiting and came to find out their 16oz only comes with 1 shot of espresso so you have to pay for the second that usually comes standard everywhere else. Me and my husband are frequent customers to this coffee shop. We fell in love with the fact that you can actually taste the coffee in their blenders (frappes). At star bucks you can't. We get our daughter a strawberry banana smoothie and she loves it. We get a caramelicious blender with an extra shot. It tastes amazing. Hands down best frappe I've ever had. Staff including the manager are so nice. The one girl who's name I don't know, always works at the window and knows my families order every time. I thought I had found a great new coffee shop to go and enjoy reading books at being it's close to where I live. Unfortunately the music is way to loud to read and sometimes even carry on a conversation. We've asked the staff to turn off the music and they agree and say that is the biggest complaint they get. Unfortunately when the owner is at the shop the music is not turned off but they will turn it down although it's still too loud. It's very hard to read a good book while in the background punk/rock type music is playing. If it weren't for the music this would be a nice place to go. read more

Looking for new local coffee shops and when this one popped up I knew I had to try it. I ordered my drink and was really craving a brownie (was prego at the time) and the only one they had was gluten free. I can appreciate the gluten free items since my big bro can't have gluten so I figured in support I would give it a shot. It. Was. Disgusting. Lol it was a prepackaged item and it was rancid. I am so sorry for those of you who cannot have gluten because if that is what passes for a brownie... bless your heart. Coffee, which was my main reason for going was decent. Although the place is nice and clean, and the people and the service are friendly, FORGET trying to read or relax at this place. The music is so loud there all the time it is literally quite impossible to concentrate on reading. Even when we've asked to turn down the music the workers tell us "that's how the owner likes it". I wouldn't generally mind calming music, except it's rock music blaring in the background. ALSO, they said that the loud music was their number 1 complaint from customers. read more
