Great fresh food straight from the grill. I highly recommend this place for either breakfast or lunch either or you will be satisfied

    Bartolo's - Caprese pasta

This is my first restaurant review. If I'm taking the time to leave a review, you better believe…read moreit's because it was either that good, or that bad. I took my wife to Bartolo's on a date, and we enjoyed every aspect. Quick, thoughtful service, and they checked on us regularly. Lots of natural light on the North side of the restaurant where they have glass doors that open up to the outside (they were closed because it was a cold day but make for a pleasant atmosphere). The food was excellent. We ordered the house focaccia and calamari to start. Both were incredible. My wife had the lasagna, and I had the spicy crab campanelle (at the recommendation of our server). The homemade pasta is melt-in-your-mouth good. In terms of cost, it is about what I'd expect from a nice dinner out with my wife. My new favorite restaurant. We will definitely be back.

Everything comes out fairly quick for all being house-made from scratch. The meals are flavorful and great. There isn't anything on this menu that stands out, everything seems pretty standard for a nice Italian place. Our bread and salad starter were great and we cleared those quick ! I chose the chicken parmigiana and found the marinara sauce to be a bit watery/bland in taste. My chicken was a bit dry so perhaps a bit overcooked. The alfredo that came with it was DELICIOUS, perfectly creamy. However...can I justify $30 for the plate ? No. My boyfriend's spicy sausage a la vodka pasta was delicious but again, the red sauce was lack luster for me. It's almost like it was lacking tomato paste and garlic ? The potato side was delicious and surprisingly large for the price ! The aioli that came with it was great in flavor as well. We finished our meal with a creme brulee. It was perfectly torched and the creme itself was delicious and perfectly chilled. The strawberry was a bit sour for my liking, especially for coming with an expensive dessert. But this dessert was one of my highlights of the meal. Although a nice once-off meal, I find Bartolo's to be pretty overpriced, even for delicious italian dishes. I have had ruth's chris meals for this price and understood why it was priced the way it was.

We ordered a blueberry cornbread with lemon butter off the seasonal menu, and it was very good. I'm impressed at how well the combination went together. With that said, the cornbread could have been a little hotter. The main entrees were a steak hash also off the seasonal menu and an original breakfast. I have to say the steak cash was really good. Had a chimichurri on it and another sauce that went very well with a decent amount of meat and more than enough potatoes and other ingredients. The original breakfast was scrambled eggs with some cheese on it, potatoes and bacon. Again everything was very good. They have a line of fresh juices available none of which we tried but they do serve Coke products. All in all, while I'm not really big on chain restaurants, I would definitely go back here multiple times to try different things off the menu.

It wants to be a great go-to brunch place. But what's holding it back is a pattern of "good enough" execution, some gaps in table awareness, and either front to back with house, communication, or staff education. A few examples: - I've ordered eggs "well done with fully set whites," five times Three times the whites came out runny. - One visit, a large amount of water was spilled on our table when drinks were delivered. It sat there soaking menus and making it awkward to even rest your arms until I finally grabbed paper towels from the restroom and handled it myself. - Another time, a drink was served with liquid running down the side of the glass and then spilled a little more when placed on the table, leaving the table sticky. Same outcome, same self-service cleanup. None of these are huge issues individually, but together, they start to feel like a training and attentiveness gap. On the menu side, some of the bowls (especially quinoa or potato-based ones) feel a little unbalanced--heavy on the base, light on the toppings--so you end up wishing for more substance beyond the filler. Even small details, like the overly aggressive spray nozzles in the restroom sinks, make basic things like washing your hands more frustrating than they should be. Bottom line: First Watch has all the ingredients to be excellent, but right now it's settling for "pretty good." Tighten up execution, table care, and change base to mix-in ratios, and this could easily move into top-tier brunch territory.

When we finally got our food they were told that there was some sort of a mix up with the online orders... We didn't place an online order. We ordered and paid for in person and we still were there for more than an hour waiting. Once we were finally able to eat, the food tasted good, but not good enough for two overpriced burgers, some cold fries and onion rings and a small shake that cost almost $50 for the two of us and a not great customer service experience. I'm hoping this is an isolated experience as I like to support local businesses and would like to give them another chance sometime but not sure when.

Keeping with a couple criteria, an untried venue, check! Food, (most importantly) check! and nearby, check! We decided to throw on some foot covers and head out the door. A quick jaunt and we'd arrived. Super easy to find even though it isn't street facing. Expecting it to be bustling with NYE recovery folks, we were surprised to find a quiet establishment that had two other patrons. Quickly I grabbed up a menu and we were immediately greeted with a friendly "Good Morning" from a very energetic and enjoyable young man. We sat and perused the menu. Talking over what we wanted vs what we should have. It took less time to make our decision for our order than most food stops in our past. I ordered the Mortician with Pepper Jack instead of the American Cheese it was paired with. Our order taker guy, (also the energetic greeter) inquired if I wanted to make it a double. I answered to the affirmative, (with a sheepish smile on my face). My wife conservatively ordered the Thursday Special, consisting of the Morty's Iconic Cheeseburger and fries. After paying and sitting down, our once greeter/order taker now waiter guy appeared with a large bottle of pour-it-yourself Fry Sauce and a handful of napkins. I looked over the sauce and quickly realized I hadn't ordered the Onion Rings that I wanted to try. I quickly mentioned to our greeter/order taker/waiter guy before he disappeared behind the kitchen doors that I needed the onion rings. With a smile and a thumbs up he said, I gotchu. I asked if there was a separate charge and stood up to pay. He quickly interrupted my advancement with an outstretched hand and a more pronounced, I Got You. This, of course was not my intention to get free stuffs but I was pleased just the same. My wife quickly grabbed some loose cash from her purse and added it to their tip jar. Thanks Babe! Once again you show me one of the many reasons for my affection toward you! We sat and did some chit-chat, continuing conversations from earlier that day. Sooner than expected, our food shows up, piled high and filling the plates with our side orders, (see photos). I literally had to take off the onion rings that were part of the sandwich makeup to even consider the possibility of moving the Mortician into my mouth, (TWSS! ...if you know, you know). Im finding this experience difficult to put into words. So, I'll sum it up. Delicious and juicy and fantastic! For once, outside of a homegrown burger, I'm able to enjoy the separate flavorings of Bacon, Beef, (which I think is marinated), the jalapeño and the pastrami as well as the aioli. After a quick drink to cleanse my palette, I grabbed up an Onion Ring. I paused to reflect on my existence and quietly muttered, this is really good! Crispy beyond any previous onion ring order from any of the, what could be hundreds of orders of rings during my 59 years, and delicious. I savored every bite, licked my fingers, and made happy "mmm mmm" sounds as I partook of this fine deliciousness. We finished everything! Talked about how this particular Morty's has now been labeled a family staple. Our experience is not just made up from the delicious food, friendly atmosphere, free onion rings, and did I mention the delicious food?, no. It's all of these as a whole, bigger experience, making it a unique and favorite beginning to a new year. Thanks to you, Morty's and our favorite greeter/order taker/waiter/I gotchu guy, we both are still smiling from our visit. Thank you for the excellent experience. We are looking forward to our next visit!

We were really pleased with food, which came out pretty quickly. I had the country fried steak with hashbrowns, two eggs and a scone. The scone came out first and was not the type of scone I was used to in Washington State. This was fried dough with a nice lump of cinnamon butter on top. Absolutely delicious, but more of a dessert so I set that aside for after the meal. The meal is huge. The country fried steak was just perfect with excellent sausage gravy. The two eggs were cooked well and it can with a great pile of hashbrowns that were delicious. Others enjoyed their food as well, particularly the waffles. Definitely a great place for breakfast.

I will say they need to cook their hash browns and Cajun potatoes a lot longer. They were soft with no crunch. Now the service was where it went so wrong we came in with a party of 12 but it was about 10AM on a Friday so there was plenty of seating available. The First Lady who greeted us was young and very nice but then the older lady bringing out food was very rude every time she came. We took two small tables of 4 seats and had kids in all the adults laps. There were always open walkways but the waitress would wait and scowl at us and the kids to go through our walkway. They refused to push any tables together for us because they said it was bad timing. Then the waitress walked past our table and said she had seen a waitress trip over a kid and get a concussion so we need to control our kids. She didn't even stop and ask us personally. She walked past us and as she was putting food on the table behind us she was kinda bad mouthing us indirectly. All the younger servers were nice and accommodating but that one was very rude. I could not recommend coming here with children or a large group.
